cosmere Cosmere Theory and Gedankenexperiments [Spoilers]
kenod replied to Necarion's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yeah, I should probably add in that the process is advanced enough that you don't get any energy loss, or use the equivalent of the diamond chip in Preservation Investure. -
cosmere Cosmere Theory and Gedankenexperiments [Spoilers]
kenod replied to Necarion's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Q: How much Joule is one filled average diamond chip E: If you could change the source of Investure for steelpushing, for how long could you provide a force of one newton on a metal object using a average filled diamond chip? A: With this answer you could get a unit for Investure and a conversion scale. P.S. I'm not using surges because the most obvious surge, Gravitation seems to work using Connection, so I don't know if the requires the same amount of energy. -
I personally have the feeling that the changes in the magic users is because they constantly have high levels of Investure forced through them, which is warping them (think Savant). The same is happening to the Dakhor Monks, who have their magic symbols in their body, which are constantly on and providing Investure. All the other systems don't use the body to channel Investure or are low-Investure or need to be activated. P.S. I am guessing that ChayShan users can reach a similar effect if they are constantly using their powers, the same as Savants.

A shardpool doesn't only form from a Shard's Investure, First of the Sun has a shardpool, IIRC Purelake is also a shardpool. Shardpool basically means a collection of Investure in liquid form, its name is confusing, like how we also use the term Minor Shardworld for planets with life but no Shard.

I think everybody who knows a bit about SA get this feeling.

Perhaps this is a way, but normally Worldhopping works using Perpendicularities to get to the Cognitive Realm and back. Elsecallers and presumably Willshapers can use the Elsecalling surge to go to the Cognitive Realm.

So, which programming language is that, it looks a bit like Java but not quite.
-
*So, offering people spikes, do we take their powers or do we give them powers?*
-
Well, Nale is basically insane, and there are theories that his Skybreakers are just some group that have the same name, but are nothing like the old order.

There are 7 Mistborn books, i think you missed Secret History :-). Also, have a cookie ;-).

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
kenod replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted, you even get Iron Feruchemy as a bonus. Your bane is that every time you try to burn iron you store weigth in it first, so you can't lurch, but just make yourself heavy. Also, you can't tap iron, because the Nightwacther wants to be mean. My wish is to be bonded with a sapient and intelligent Spren that has a nice character (one that agrees with mine). -
Lightweavers are the most powerful Radiant(WoR Spoilers)
kenod replied to KnightGradient's topic in Stormlight Archive
Also, before the orders where formed there were a lot of rogue Surgebinders, Nohadon even says that he wishes all the spren where as picky as Honor Spren implying that a lot of spren didn't really care if the person they bonded was a mass murder or a tyrant. It also ins't that this ended because the Orders were formed. It is stated that the Heralds (can't remember the name) forced structure and laws upon them, meaning that it is perhaps wasn't the Oaths that kept them in line, but the law and the fact that the Heralds would slaugther them if they didn't obey. -
I think he will shown up, after a few months someone either notices it or Brandon drops a hint. Then we spent another couple of months speculating until Brandon confirms which guess is right, and then we will spend half a year making theories about the impact of whatever Kelsier did until we run out of inspiration or the next book comes out.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
kenod replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Regular Nightwatcher wants her/his job back and takes advantage of the fact that Evil Nightwatcher didn't make a wish so he/she gives you the same bane as you gave the other guy. I wish for more original banes. -
Sorry, I didn't word it right. I meant that silver wasn't allomantically inert, and that you just can't burn it.
-
Allomatically inert means that it is immune, like aluminium. It just isn't burnable.

"Who was that aimed at?" Kenod asks, annoyed and a bit shocked. "Him or me? That was almost enough to let me consider getting a couple of allomantic copper spikes."

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
kenod replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Your wish is granted, but to get the powers the Nightwatcher had to Hemalurgically spike you, so now you have weird piercings. Your bane is that the government knows about how Hemalurgy works and that your spikes are Hemalurgic, so they are charging you with murder. They don't know about the Nightwatcher however, so have fun explaining it. My wish is that it no longer rains in our country while it is daytime in our country. All the rain that should have fallen in the day should fall at night. Clouds are no problem, however.
