I think he means the colour of the glyphs on the plate. With true Radiants the plate glyphs glow in the colour associated with the order.

Cody, I have the feeling that the inhabitants of Roshar aren't really prepared for snipers.

Sazed, we don't know much about Axies, but I think he doesn't have that much combat abilities.

IIRC, the Fifth Ideal allows the Radiant to hold Stormlight perfectly.

Great theory. I think that the solution for problem 3 could be that it didn't change because the Soulcasting we have seen has alsways been done from the Cognitive Realm, not the Physical Realm. Perhaps Jasnah can Soulcast from the Physical, but everything we have seen still worked by having the mind of the Soulcaster in question be moved to the Cognitive Realm, making Soulcasting while being in the Cognitive Realm with your mind the same as Soulcasting while being in the Cognitive Realm in the flesh.

For High Fantasy I would recommend The Codex Alera, which is from the same writer as The Dresden Files (Jim Butcher). If you like more nerdy and goofy stuff I would recommend the Magic 2.0 series, from Scott Meyer. It's about computer nerds who find a computer file that they can use to manipulate reality and they use it to go to medieval England to pass themselves of as wizards. Edit: Also, have a cookie.

Cookies In The TARDIS: The Intro Thread Fight
kenod replied to Master Elodin's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
Kenod created his Aon Tia and suddenly finds himself in a strange place, with all kinds of creatures trying to kill each other. Deciding to get in on the fun he uses Aon Shao to transform a guy throwing lighting around into antimatter, and then throws him into a person eating pickles using Aon Daa. -
Vin, because of all of the above.

First of all, the Old Magic isn't something that you can just use. It works because the Nightwatcher does something weird to either your Cognitive or your Spiritual Aspects. Someone who has visited the Nightwatcher isn't going to be actively using Investure afterwards (at least not to fuel their Boon and Curse). It would be better to compare them to Kolos. People who had magic used on them and gained abilities, but don't actively use magic. For Odiumblades, I think the reason is that if they are made in the same way as Honorblades, they would allow usage of Voidbinding to anyone who has the blade. This would mean that he could potentially give the enemy a new weapon. Voidbinding is better, because he can just hijack an already existing system (Surgebinding), and adapt it. This also makes sure that anyone who uses it is aligned to his cause.

I vote for Breeze. This is mainly because I don't think Spook would be able to hurt his friends, and Breeze is good enough at manipulating people that he can convince Spook to lose.

Vasher. How does Nightblood even fight without a wielder with enough Investure to rival a couple of thousand Breaths?

I agree that it would probably be possible for other people than those on Scandrial to reach FTL, but in the case of Roshar I was thinking more along the lines of a Transportation Surge based Hyperdrive, that transports the ship into the Cognitive Realm, so they only have to travel an extremely short distance to get to another place star system, where they can just jump back.

Yeah... Your soul belongs to us now, and a couple of Shards will probably start speaking to you in the near future. If you are unlucky, they can also start controlling you.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted, a law is now passed that forbids you from using electricity, so good luck booting it up. I wish that the book I ordered finally arrived (it has been more than 7 weeks now). -
Also Marsh, because this is a fight, so it would make sense to vote on the person who would probably win.

Maybe it isn't really anime that influenced it, but more the traditional way of thinking in East Asia, so instead of anime influencing Brandon, it is more that anime and Brandon were inspired by the same thing.

We had a thread about songs that fit with the books. Warning, I'm not sure what the spoiler policy for the thread was, so it would be best to look at that first. Also have a cookie and an upvote.

It would be cool, but I get the idea from the few things I've read that the magic stays the same (Same type of superpowers (good Epics)), so it wouldn't make sense to suddenly introduce a world that already had magic before calamity, and something that doesn't correspond to the rules at the same time.

Agreed, and also, in my opinion, one of the reasons it turned out this good was because Brandon still had Jordan's notes. From what I have read there are only about 2 sentences of notes for the outrigger novels, so creating a book with it would be fairly hard, if you want to stay true to Jordan at least. I would like to be able to read the notes however. P.S. Does it count as necro if it was the person before you doing it?

Actually, that isn't the Dustbringer glyph. This is the Dustbringer glyph. The image you are using is a modified version that has been dubbed the Voidbinding diagram, although we don't know yet if it is actually related to Voidbinding. Here is the Surgebinding diagram: http://coppermind.net/w/images/TWoK_Front_Endsheet.jpg
