After a hiatus of more than a month, I am back! (And hoping all this double/triple/quadruple posting is not angering the ModGods...) Scorch seeing Nathan is like a bull seeing red. (From this post by Twi on page 4) Sure, go back for the money in the vault; it's definitely more important than escaping the bouncy castle alive... (From Joe's post on page 5) From the same post: Lightwards's first zombie's name is Donald? MUST POKE FUN. (From Kobold's post at the top of page 6.)

There is a basketball team in New Orleans with a pelican mascot. Meet Pierre the pelican:

I have some Thanksgiving jokes to share What kind of music did pilgrims listen to? What sound does a space turkey make?

What I want to know is why the potion seems to have no effect at all on wizards. Also, I made this (spoilered for size):

When I had my wisdom teeth taken out, I got the general anesthesia and was completely unconscious until the surgery was over. I felt just slightly loopy afterwards. A few hours later, I was eating soft foods without a whole lot of trouble. The doctor wrote me 2 prescriptions for painkillers: one strong one that contained an opioid IIRC, and one weaker drug with less potential for addiction. I didn't touch the opioid because drugs that powerful scare me and my pain was not severe enough for me to want to go near it. Overall my experience was very positive. -

I got a WoB as well, though maybe not as interesting as y'all's Cosmere questions. It's rather spoilery for the end of The Dark Talent. -
@thegatorgirl00 Just copy the YouTube URL into the text of your post, and the forum will automatically put the video directly in so it can be played without clicking open a new tab or window.

@The Honor Spren I agree; that's a lovely painting!

I've been reading Dan Wells's new book, Extreme Makeover, for the past few days. It makes me laugh a lot, but it also makes me sympathy-cringe and want to slap some of the characters.

Speaking of Agents of SHIELD, I just watched the 2nd episode of the current season, "Meet the New Boss"...

Do you mean a game of Magic, or a game of Cards Against the Cosmere, or some other game...? Also, where is the game room? Within the bookstore? Somewhere else in the Wilk? No need to apologize. Someone somewhere has a bunch of stickers with "17th Shard" and the site logo on them. I'm assuming the game firstRainbowRose was referring to is either Magic: The Gathering or Cards Against the Cosmere. @lyssie95, are you going to be at this signing with the Cosmere deck of CAH? -

@Oversleep Someone totally needs to do that, in the style of the "Why is the rum gone?" song. I have no music editing skills, but I really want to see an actual WoBstep song. -

@bleeder I say it like that as well. Hence this joke: What kind of music do Sanderfans listen to? WoBstep! -

Haha. I only really remember the date (December 19th) because it's exactly a month before my own birthday.

@Moash In about another month, Brandon will be doing his yearly "State of the Sanderson" blog post that should contain a run-down of happenings during 2016. You might also find it useful to go through the News archive here on the Shard. But I can give you this list of things he's published in 2016, from looking at GoodReads (in chronological order of publication, from oldest to newest): The Bands of Mourning (Mistborn #6, Wax & Wayne #3) Mistborn: Secret History (behind-the-scenes stuff of the original Mistborn trilogy) Calamity White Sand, Vol 1 (part one of the graphic novel adaptation of the unpublished prose project White Sand) The Dark Talent (Alcatraz #5) Arcanum Unbounded is being released in the US in a few days, as @CalypsoDreaming mentioned. This year the first four Alcatraz books were also republished with new covers, interior illustrations, and a map of the Free Kingdoms inside the hardcovers' book jackets.

@Arraenae YOUR PROFILE PIC IS SO ADORABLE. <3 (In case you haven't noticed, I loooove owls.) Re: snow, I lived in central Virginia for 12 years, and this pretty much sums up what it was like there: -

I just have to second @Quadrophenia's submission of "Playing with the Big Boys Now." Prince of Egypt is one of my favorite movies ever. I'm also a huge fan of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, so I think I have to mention the song "Potiphar." Potiphar's not be the real villain of the song (that would be his wife), but this song makes me laugh every time.

Being unable to find the song "Everytime We Touch" by searching my music library because properly, it should be "Every Time We Touch." Also, random fact: this is my 1887th post, which is the year that the first Sherlock Holmes novel was originally published.

Got a signed copy of Dan Wells's new book, Extreme Makeover, tonight, as well as Cassandra Clare's short story collection Tales from Shadowhunter Academy.
