Should be something new.

Dorm rooms only don't work if you care what other people think of you.

There are some flaws in this analysis that should become apparent.

I listened the other day. Pretty good, though I kept wanting you to just belt it.

[Deleted Scene] Emperor's Soul Google Play ebook
PeterAhlstrom replied to Swimmingly's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
No, it has not. -
That is just some kind of super-old estimate.

lord Claincy Ffnord, that analysis is excellent.

Right, Brandon's store won't sell it for a year. It's best to buy at your local store. But if you must buy it online, you can use one of the links here: http://brandonsanderson.com/books/the-stormlight-archive/words-of-radiance because then Brandon gets a little extra money rather than you just buying it online without using one of those links.

For WoR, all of the ebook versions will have "retina"-quality images.
-
Yes. Though I'd like to see your guesses.

Will we see interplanetar/lunar travel in future books?
PeterAhlstrom replied to Michael Portz's topic in Stormlight Archive
The lunar orbits are definitely unstable on an astronomical scale (millions of years). -
I have years of practice. And Carl really did a fine job, didn't he? He even trolled me, as I said before. I got a good laugh out of that.

We held chapter 7 back because it's not fair not to be able to read the rest of the book immediately after reading that. March 4th is the release date and it's too late to change.
-
Well, maybe I shouldn't say he doesn't care. It's better if everyone abides by the release date. But he doesn't worry about those stores that don't.
-
The publisher sets the release date. If the publisher has a problem with stores releasing it early, it's up to the publisher to deal with it. Brandon doesn't care if a bookstore releases it early. What we do care about is the sample pages that went up on Amazon and Google Books too early. We picked the preview chapters carefully, so anything outside of that where you can't just buy the whole book is highly problematic.
-
WoR actually naturally splits into three parts. You'll see a post from Brandon about this before too long.

There are no current plans for leatherbound editions. If they do do it in the future, I hope they restrict it to one vendor, because with the Wheel of Time a lot of people always ended up with canceled orders. Best bet to get a signed book is call one of the stores Brandon is signing at on his tour.

The trade paperback also has the endpapers from the hardcover stuck in as color pages. Looks good, if you like trade paperbacks.

They are very small. Think Phobos and you'll be in the ballpark. -

Roshar's moons are much much closer than our moon. Their elliptical orbits bring them closer to Roshar's surface during the night than geosynchronous altitude. -
Glyphs have a phonetic component. The overall shape can be stylized however the writer likes, but the phonetic component generally has to be present.
