  1. I'm mostly interested in learning about orders we know nothing about, such as Truthwatchers. I'd hope at the very least to discover each orders' spren and a definitive explanation of what their surges can do. To endure three more years of speculation about the KR orders on these forums will be unbearable!!
  2. I was referring to that. But I'm also referring to Atium misting-like abilities for Truthwatchers to use in battle. I know they aren't battle-oriented so it's probably not the case. It'd be cool nonetheless.
  3. I've been casually searching the forums to see if anyone else has thought of this before: Could Truthwatcher surges/resonances provide them with atium misting-like abilities? I know Kaladin has demonstrated such abilities in the duel, but I figured Truthwatchers could experience something similar? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  4. Seeker
  5. @maxal in the case of Elsecallers, the ability to avoid one's emotions to cloud one's judgement (this was confirmed by WoB... Im not doubting they are WoB but dang, how was killing those thugs out of anger avoiding one's emotions? It appeared that she demonstrated the opposite.
  6. You bring up a good point. Lift has been ignoring Wyndle throughout their entire relationship. Perhaps she'll listen to him more intently? As to the post, I think you're on the right track.
  7. I originally thought a Radiant gained their shardblade upon speaking the third Oath, but after reading Edgedancer again I noticed Wyndle transformed into a shardbar before Lift said her third Oath. What is the standard? Or is there one?
  8. Bondsmiths can unite instead of divide. I'm sure they can be convincing. But in all seriousness I suppose you're right.
  9. Do you guys think a Bondsmith could bond a spren and KR applicant as long as they strive to live the oaths? I'm sure over time they can internalize them with self discipline?
  10. After putting a lot of thought into the questions, my truthful responses always get caught up on one question in particular. The question about following rules. Sometimes I see them as guidelines but I also feel most rules important to follow so there is order among chaos. Unless of course they conflict with my beliefs. So based on how I answer this question I either get Windrunner (going with guidelines) or Dustbringer (with to be followed unless they conflict with my beliefs). Great quiz.
  11. Bondsmith. I'm a military commander so I guess it fits. I had a couple of other orders in mind, however.
  12. For space travel?
  13. I thought it had to do with the adhesion (pressure) side of the Windrunner ability not the gravitation side.
  14. Or perhaps he can use Stormlight to "see"something after the fact? Kind of like omnipresence? Do we know if that is out of the question?
  15. Am I the only one who thinks that the little POV exposure that Renarin gets in the next book will involve his decision making process over Thoughts?
  16. While I agree that Kaladin is too young, he is definitely intellectual enough. He's a surgeon for crying out loud. He probably knows more about the human anatomy than she ever will.
  17. If that's the case, how did they die by the hands of voidbringers?
  18. Great answer. Thanks.
  19. I understand that logistics are important in warfare. I'm military by profession and definitely understand that. I still feel that the heralds themselves, armed with honorblades, would have used them in the struggle rather than administer and direct the logistics part of things whilst not using them. But if indeed they were not fighters then so be it. I'm sure we'll soon learn they're specific duties and responsibilities and obviously my inquiry will be answered.
  20. I feel Adolin is a perfect fit to become a Willshaper. He's always off on exploration missions of late. He is his own person and has his own way of doing things. He is also pretty resolute but also erratic at times.
  21. It just seems to me they would serve a deeper purpose than chief of transportation or quartermaster
  22. A quick question: If some orders are not battle-oriented, what purpose did they serve during desolations? I suppose the same question goes for their heralds: How did all of the non battle-oriented heralds survive the last desolation? Thanks
