Hey gang. I'm going to attend a Q&A panel with Brandon at the Salt Lake City COMICON tomorrow. Just wanted to get a feel for how he RAFOs questions. If he RAFOs me does that mean it'll either most likely be answered in Oathbringer or it's too vital to a plot reveal down the road, correct? This is my first time and I just want to make sure I offer a quality question. I have a couple in mind, I just need to figure out what will yield me the best response and NOT get a RAFO.

This is what I put in @Steeldancer's thread: I took the discussion between Kaladin and Syl about her being made and her having kids was meant for us to understand that Syl is going to create sentience/order out of windspren. They will work as plate under her direction as she is mentally linked to Kaladin.

I thought she already increased friction by climbing walls like Spiderman to spy on Darkness.

Didn't Kaladin notice a spren talking to him before he could heal himself, even if with minimum amounts?

To expound on this the Truthwatcher ability may be used to allow the two parties to see each other somehow and make the fit.

I know reviving blades has been spoken of at length BUT I think a Bondsmith can use a Truthwatcher to revive a blade with a potentially worthy candidate of that blades order. I think this is how Adolin may become an Edgedancer. Thoughts?

Too bad she doesn't know where Urithiru is. She probably isn't even aware of the Oathgate locations. I believe she's doing what Kaladin is and will ask for infused gems. If I were Jasnah, I'd display my shardblade, simply ask to see the infused gems, suck in the Stormlight and move on.

That makes a lot of sense that if the StormFather infuses gems so could Dalinar. I never thought of that.

Lirin refuses to leave people who will need him most, even when Kaladin offered a safe haven to him and his family. He seems to have lived his whole life (and is still living) the first ideal. He trusts that Hesina can take care of little Oroden herself and doesn't blink an eye at taking an opportunity to seeing to their safety personally. He'd rather be where he can be needed most and serve the greater good. Would his brief interaction with Kaladin in Hearthstone have attracted a spren? Or perhaps he already attracted one with whom a relationship is barely budding? I think it's highly possible. He's already a natural leader and it's confirmed that a candidate will be noticed by a spren more easily when in company of other radiants. What are your thoughts?

I thought the pull was what Dalinar did based on the need to understand the situation more. It didn't have anything to do with positioning. Had the situation required the use of another surgebinder he would have "pulled" on someone else I suppose, if they were present.

Am I looking into this too deeply? Shallan states she's the only full Knight Radiant for now. I think she's the only one we know of to reach the fourth oath. Does this make her a full Radiant or does having a blade make her one? And what of Renarin? Why doesn't he qualify to work the Oathgate?

If he was anything of a herald or higher I would think his power would be used to defeat his enemy quickly, not to make it some drawn out conflict.
