  1. That would be terribly interesting. Invested Shards can't leave their planets, but if you invested a Shard to a planet which it isn't on... wonder what would happen.
  2. Would it be technically possible to create a super-powered planet, then? If you managed to spike Scadrial with powers/spikes from Roshar, Nalthis and Sel, what would happen?
  3. First, I'll point out the grammar: I suggest you reread the bolded sentence. Second, having a left pinky which doesn't challenge you is pretty unremarkable. I have one too.
  4. Do we know wether Heralds can use Stormlight healing without Honorblades? That would let Pailiah get by without her Blade. And then, I feel like someone might have noticed if Pais body just disappeared. So, like @Pagerunner said, good catch, but I doubt its her :-)
  5. If I'm going to reply to my own topic (which I will) I would probably give it to two characters: Khriss and Jasnah. I know that a lot of people love Khriss because of her magic-focus, but I have personally never felt connected to her. Jasnah is a character I like, but everyone else seems to rank her much higher than I do. When it comes to funny characters, I do like both Wayne and Lift, so I dont consider them overrated. I agree with everyone who said Stick though.
  6. I like this idea. Makes sense, since it would tie them into The Lost Metal. I doubt that Brandon just had Allik loredump them to us in order to mess around. They are probably mentioned for a purpose, and them being tied to Trell seems very likely.
  7. Self-explanatory: Is there any Sanderson character who you feel is overrated? Someone a lot of people seem to love, but whose appeal you don't get? Or are all the characters worthy of all their praise?
  8. There is a difference in frequency with Kaladins and Dalinars visions though. Kal has had his twice(?) while Dalinar had more than ten, in quick succession. Knowing how often Mr. Potter received his visions is important for figuring them out. When it comes to Renarin, a lot of wierd stuff is going on with him, and we lack information about him and his order, so judging stuff based on him seems unsafe. Generally though, neither Shallan, Jasnah or Lift seem to have been subject to visions. Neither have often-theorized proto-radiants such as Eshonai, Adolin, Szeth or Rysn. So I think that visions are special, and not something that your average Radiant necessarily experiences.
  9. At least it doesnt say "witless" like most other posts on this thread. In fact, think of the post I just made as a potato in a minefield. You go in here, and expect to find the same old insults, but instead, you find a metaphor quoted from the brilliant Brandon Sanderson. You should be very greatful :-)
  10. I do pity Elhokar. He is supposed to rule and be the king, but basically everyone is more competent than he is, even those who he has been thaught is below him, like Kaladin. And then you add paranoia to this. He does want to be better, but he is not a very strong individual, and has a hard time improving, maybe because everyone constantly outshines him. While it is true that he plays the victim, it is also true that he tries to do things. He asks Kaladin for help, but is turned down. He stands beside Dalinar and Adolin against the other Highprinces. I confess to being moved by his drunken confessions :-) And also, the fake assassination was so that he could know wether he could trust Dalinar or not. It was stupid nonetheless, but I get the impression that it was mostly there to test Dalinar, not to gain sympathy.
  11. It sounds possible. After all, when Dalinar returns from the Nightwatcher, he punishes Roshone for his crimes. Is this something that the Blackthorne would have done? Dunno. What speaks against it is that Dalinar got very drunk at the party, and seemed to behave more like the Blackthorne. So I dont know... it is possible I guess, but there are questions. Personally, I think that it was one of two possibilities. Either he wanted to forget something about his wife (like her way of death) or he wanted to become less jealous of Gavilar.
  12. #hunttheheralds I do personally think that all Heralds are alive, except for maybe one, which will mess things up for one of the orders.
  13. I dont know who they are, but I can easily see both Kelsier and Marsh being involved to some degree.
  14. Do you like pizza with fish sticks? Favorite Cosmere characters? And also, you distributed Honorblades a couple of weeks ago. Which Honorblade would you have wanted yourself?
  15. He appears in one of Shallans flashbacks, and at the end of Taravangians Interlude.
  16. Brandon writes faster than a compounding Steelrunner runs, apparently.
  17. They are not Odium-Heralds, but they seem to be the closest thing Odium has resembling the Heralds. And as I said, Yelig-nar killed Nohadons wordsmen, so I guess he can fight.
  18. Yeah, the Unmade would be the closest equivalent to the Heralds, out of the things we know of. Wether they could take a Herald one on one is unknown, but at least one of them, Yelig-nar was capable of killing people, since he slaughtered Nohadons wordsmen in one of Dalinars visions in WoK.
  19. I'll split it into categories for ease: -Movies: Thor: Ragnarok, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Ready Player One, Black Panther, INFINITY WAR. -Books: Oathbringer obviously. And Winds of Winter. Whenever it comes out. -Games: Battlefront 2 looks extremely cool. As does Anthem.
  20. You guys are all bricks made of porridge.
  21. Mistborn Spoilers: My thoughts are still that it is just religious worry. Some religious people are very scared of sin/displeasing God. This is an aspect of religion Brandon hasn't yet discussed very much, so I think it is more likely that she is suffering from normal worries (possibly enhanced by Unmade/other evil things) than her being spiked. And then @maxal, don't you think poor Elhokar has had a rough enough life without having to deal with an unfaithful wife as well? :-D
  22. You should have realized that the general IQ level here is far below the point where metaphors can be comprehended.
  23. You mean that Aesudan is spiked? Could be possible, I guess, but then comes the obligatory question of who did the spiking. However, her behavior feels more like something a selfish, worried and incompetent person would do. The one thing that speaks for her being spiked is, in my opinion, that she might have been different just a couple of months before the Kholinar interlude, since Navani seemed to think that Aesudan, and the capital, could handle itself without her. A spike could explain Aesudans sudden change of behavior.
  24. I enter Kelsier, then. As he was in FE. @Nohadon I thinknit was Vasher who was entered, not Denth. And I think you forgot Kenton in your list as well.
