"Okay, I will not fall asleep at this lecture. I am listening and I am not completely lost about what the lecture is about. It's gonna be alri-" *wakes up 45 minutes later* Lecture at 7:30 am, comfortable, soft seats and dimmed light so we could see the screen better is not helping. And coffee does some things to my digestive system so I use it sparely when I really need to.

...when was it implied?

I happen to enjoy forum stories of ancient times. It's like modern mythology. "In the beginning there was Time-Waster's Guide forum..."
-
Yeah, I know that one (just forgot about it). I was asking specifically about that memorizing sounds thing, I thought I may have missed some WoB.
-
Do we have a source for that? The best I know is the quote from the Words of Radiance (in-world): Not disagreeing with you, just asking. Anyway, there has been some confusion in this topic. Let me just say this: Resonance is the additional effect of blending two (or possibly more but not too much) powers together. For example Resonance of Gravity and Adhesion is "strenght of the squires" which means "unnatural number and strength of Windrunner's squires" and Resonance of Illumination and Transformation are mnemonic abilities. None of these Resonances have to do with how the original powers are used. It's also implied the Resonance of Gravity and Division is the ability to sense guilt and theorized that Resonance of Abrasion and Progression is something about communicating in tune with the other person (Lift catching the street slang intuitively, the "refined" part of Edgedancers coming from them interacting with refined people). While we know usage of the same Surge by different Orders is not exactly the same, we also know it's largely the same:

Wow, I just realized Trolley Problem Memes haven't gone far enough yet! That comic is awesome.

This must have been truly ancient times. How old is this forum, anyway?

More importantly, she says that No "one perpendicularity". Multiple ones. They cannot be predicted easily - they need to be predicted so they're temporary and they are hard to predict so there is no set pattern. Somewhat morbid origin - since this is human speaking, I doubt she's refering to ripped off chunks of Ambition or something. My money is on something having to do with the Shades. -

By the way, imagine Epic with a weakness of guns or being shot at. Probably the easiest to kill. -

Is something making a list of those in case some Calamity happens? -
Well, if you have Shardplate in the first place you most probably (like 90%) have it better.
-
Not really because it would impede their ability to fly on Steelpushes while Wax can turn on his weight temporarily or even decrease it to augment his flight. Anyway, on the whole "Pushing in Shardplate" thing - your weight is increased so you can Push harder; it's not about the force you apply being increased but the distribution of it. It's the same as Wax tapping iron. It's easier to understand when you model Steelpushing as putting a spring between two objects. If you stack things on one of the objects to make it heavier, the other object would move more than the first one.

Arclo Narrates the Stormlight Covers
Oversleep replied to Borio Singaldi's topic in Stormlight Archive
It's confirmed that Sleepless are writing the texts that are featured as cover blurbs of Stormlight Archive: But we don't know whether it's Arclo. I'd say it's not specifically him as he says that it's the others who are "watching the four" while he also pays attention to Lift, for example.- 2 replies

I meant that given their sort-of mutual interest in each other such situations will probably include some romantic angle to them; and that's what I'd count as Shaladin. I agree. Anyway, I am not really a shipper so I don't really care who ends up with who. I only expect the process leading there to be interesting and engaging (yeah, I'm all for journey before destination). I also enjoy the heartbreaking and soulwrenching moments very much (Shadows of Self is my favorite Mistborn for exactly this reason). So I'd be pretty much happy with any conclusion to the relationship stuff (unless it's not consistent or poorly done but Brandon being Brandon I am not afraid of that). -

I'm pretty sure the chasms chapters are considered Shaladin moments. And they do not destroy Shadolin. Maybe Oathbringer will have some Kaladin and Shallan doing things together and alone (combination of Gravity and Illumination can let you travel to the enemy camp and not be noticed so some espionage perhaps). -
Mistwraiths are people with a blockage between Physical and Cognitive Aspect. Spikes help to bypass that blockage. Thus, memories and personality are a function of the body but they cannot be sustained while without spikes.

So I finished both Legions. I am awaiting impatiently for second Alcatraz cause the first one was awesome. Meanwhile I was meaning to read the Promise of Blood (first of Powdermage trilogy) and I'm kinda in the middle of the third book in Dresden Files... but I'm kinda tired with fantasy right now. I got into Cosmere 2 years ago (I started with Way Of Kings) and I've been pretty much reading only Sanderson since then. It was awesome and all... but I can't handle more fantasy right now. I could continue reading Sandman... but having read Perfect State recently and Ghost in the Shell premiering (I need to watch the first animated movie before I go to the cinema though)... I think I will finally get to the Neuromancer. I could use some cyberpunk to freshen up.

No. We do not have definitive answer. (And it was in Krakow) WoB: On one hand it can be read as "yeah, he did burn it cause he's an Allomancer, put two and two together"... but then why avoid saying it outright, even when asked for clarification on that?

What the storming storm - guys, that's a shitty topic. Let's talk about something else. Like... ever since I read Legion (so about a week or two) I wondered whether gold/copper Twinborn could do such a thing. Gold savant and probably tapping nicrosil to augment it more. Hm... Soul Forgery allows you to overwrite your history and become such an 'aspect' of yourself. Could we combine it somehow? -
This still doesn't explain why a simple shot would kill him. You're missing the point. @Quiver, given your knowledge of comics... Is there an explanation for that?
-
Exactly. You get both energy and Investiture out of nothing.
