  1. Aren't those glyphs the Vorin names of the heralds? And therefore relate to the relevant Radiant Order, the number, and all the rest simultaneously? Also, this is the 17th Shard's system map, not one authored by the Rosharans themselves. (I believe there's a WoB that says the Rosharans can't even see some of the outer gas giants?)
  2. The Nalthis and Scadrial connection is purely one of proximity. (Constellations are lines drawn between points on a 2-D plane, and two stars which might look close from any given planet could be billions of light-years apart in three dimensions) With that said, however, this proximity would be pronounced in the Cognitive Realm, and the lines connecting Nalthis to Scadrial and vice versa could serve as a makeshift road map in the Cognitive. If it is a specific organ which gives the worms the safe haven they need to work their magic, then I don't see any reason why a kandra wouldn't be able to replicate that. However, there would need to be an autopsy (or several) to find the post-bonding worms in the first place, and then some live testing to make sure nothing in the worm's environment is amiss (variables in question: nutrient feed from the host, acidity of environment, temperature of environment, pressure of environment, the list goes on). Sure, co-opting a kandra for that kind of empirical testing would maximize efficiency greatly, but each failure state would involve the death of yet another worm. It strikes me that once the Ones Above got their hands on the Aviar, they wouldn't care about the deleterious effects they could have on the Pantheon's ecosystem.
  3. I think it's more a question of mass (Don't forget that there's a floor on how much mass a kandra can have in order to maintain sapience) than of Investiture. Also, the parasite might not know where to latch on inside a kandra's body mass.
  4. It might deform a bit due to body heat and pure gold's softness. You might want to specify "Would the Feruchemy cause anything to happen..."
  5. The only one I can think of is Fleet, which doesn't appear to involve Worldhopping at all. But that's a myth he tells and not one he references, so I'm not sure.
  6. Only 800 Scadrian years for Kelsier to get irreparably bored of the cosmere? That's a bit of an understatement, don't you think?
  7. Re: the potions: I suspect that Forten could only brew them in his homeland, much like Dakhor monks can only be augmented at Dakhor Monastery. Which is a bit of a nerf. Also you might need something extra to make sure the personality changes stick.
  8. He meant 3. All of the above. Both of these are actually foreshadowed by other Shards: 1 is implied by Ruin's control over his avatar, and 2 can be deduced by the number of names picked up by Preservation and by Honor, on their respective worlds (They each have upwards of 2 different names in addition to their Intents, and that's without trying all that hard). We now have confirmation that Autonomy weaponizes this for her own ends.
  9. The concept of Bavadin sock-puppeting entire pantheons is both hilarious and (in retrospect) unsurprising. Because of course Autonomy would play multiple gods by herself, why wouldn't she do that?
  10. True, but he does not know who other Shards are. Only that they are not Ruin or Preservation. (And he has not made an appointment with Khriss to get a fuller picture, probably doesn't even know she exists)
  11. Ashyn is not a major Shardworld because Khriss would have mentioned the fact that a Shard is in residence there. (Although Khriss does not mention where Odium's locus is, or indeed if he even has one in the Rosharan system, and someone without knowledge of The Stormlight Archive would be left unaware that Honor's and Cultivation's Shardpools are both on the planet of Roshar) There might be a disconnect in parlance here. (When I call a cosmere planet a "Major" shardworld, I am assuming that there is a Shard present, e.g. Scadrial, Nalthis. In contrast, "Minor" Shardworlds have never had a Shard put down roots, e.g. Threnody, First of the Sun. Sel is a bit of an edge case because of the Dor, but for lack of a better option I've been grandfathering it into the Major Shardworld category)
  12. Ashyn is still a minor Shardworld, I believe. The world of Dark One, however, is still in the offing, and that might be a major Shardworld.
  13. Harmony doesn't have Ati's or Leras' memories, nor has he read the Stormlight Archive.
  14. I am aware of that WoB. I am also aware of the WoB that states that we shouldn't read too much into the exceptions. In addition, I am assuming that Wyndle would have presented as male regardless of whom he was bonded to. (Also, there are differences in character and voice between the two spren - Ym's has a stutter, and is unfamiliar with the point of cobbling, while Wyndle does not and is keenly aware that Lift's every action is inexplicable in some way, shape, or form)
  15. Ym's spren is described as "crystals in a sunbeam... little strands of light grew from it like vines." This appears to be a dead ringer for Wyndle (except, of course, that Lift-vision can see more of him), except that Ym's spren talks with a female voice. Stump describes her spren as "light reflected from a mirror." (Which muddles the issue somewhat - Ym's spren is described by the author in Ym's voice, while Stump's is described by Stump)
  16. Wyndle mentions in the WoR interlude that there was a council of sorts which came to the consensus that Lift should have a spren (as opposed to Ym or the Iriali matron). We know that Ym eventually received a spren whose shape is suggestive of Wyndle's, but who is distinct from him (female voice, for starters). I suspect that Stump is a Truthwatcher-initiate, instead of an Edgedancer-initiate, if only because the spren is described differently (admittedly, though, Stump's spren is given one throwaway line of dialogue while Ym describes his to the audience in more detail).
  17. 6 Selish magic systems (Forten and his potions are the last)
  18. "Seek strength" and then I'd sit back and watch the fun. Spool already got the most foolproof one (for personal use, that is).
  19. However, if someone goes into the Cognitive Realm armed with this map, then using it to navigate would probably warp the Cognitive Realm; i.e. basing one's knowledge of the Cognitive distances between systems on that map would probably alter those Cognitive distances to fit, or at least the headings between them. (I'm thinking of how Kelsier knew the Ire were past the oceans, so he went directly away from Scadrial and lo and behold the fortress of the Ire was directly in his path once he got deep enough into space)
  20. Better safe than sorry. Better keep the unbridled spoilers to places specifically designed for them, such as Cosmere Theories.
  21. It's a collection of stars that can be seen from multiple systems: Characters from Roshar and Scadrial both mention it under different names. (As "Taln's Scar" and "the Red Rip", respectively) Its distinctive red coloration has lead some to assume that it is Significant to the history of the Cosmere - a claim that is not entirely without merit given the information we have.
  22. My apologies to any who were spoiled by that. It's been hidden properly now.
  23. Eastwood, at least, doesn't have steel to burn as a targeting system, so I suspect Wax would defeat him. The rest would come down to experience, and what Eastwood would be able to achieve because he doesn't rely on Allomancy to call his shots.
  24. BoM spoilers: EDIT: Apologies, for some reason I thought this had the same rules as Cosmere Theories. My fault entirely.
  25. I thought the WoB was exactly the opposite; that we shouldn't read too much into why spren are the gender they are. Also, Wyndle is complaining about what might have been (as Wyndle does), as opposed to any sort of reminiscing or nostalgia. "I could have done" instead of "I did."
