Yeah selling them without a license from Brandon is a HUGE no-no. This is really cool though, are you going to be seeing Brandon while he's on tour? Because I'm sure he would love to have something like this.

Technically no, Seons are not Splinters, the Aons at the heart of the Seons are Splinters.

Was Glimpse 11 about Renarin or Adolin?

*Insert reminder about how the placement of the Bondsmiths on the Radiant chart is By No Means Known* -
Why are you assuming that? It doesn't seem to be the case. I take it you are thinking orders with female heralds are entirely female and orders with male heralds are entirely male? Well Ym would be of an order (either 4 or 5) that has a female order and the Stonewards (an order with a male herald) in the Starfalls chapter is female.

Brandon has said that there is no universal language but since the Shards all have a shared origin there are certain linguistic commonalities (i.e. shash being the name of a letter on Nalthis and a glyph on Roshar).

Okay people, Mistborn spoilers need to be in spoiler tags, I think I got them all but let me know if I missed any. This is a Stormlight sub-forum, therefore anything spoilery for non-Stormlight things should be in spoiler tags. It is kind of rude and as you can see it spoils the books for people like Aleksiel. Surgebinding Mistborn? More Speculations about Hoid

Here the quotes in full since it is helpful to have them in the thread if they are being discussed, as well as direct links, since search pages are liable to change. (source) (source)- 44 replies

WOR Tour Scrapbook - Your participation requested!!!!

Some suggestions for the cover: Paint it garnet colored, its the color of the actual book so it would tie things together. Put the glyph for the lightweavers on it for the same reason as the above. -
Suggestion: Shut down the WoR forum till release!
WeiryWriter replied to Michael Portz's topic in Stormlight Archive
Well it's just good form to keep spoilers out of thread titles right after a release. Ideally people should put *Finished Book* in the tittle of a thread that discusses that sort of thing. -
There was an update about it in December, thread about it can be found here.

The top two are sas and nahn from left to right. And then shash is the bottom one. And their is a Bridge Four glyph decal/patch in the store.

Which Shardworld would you most like to live on?

So there's finally news on a new (first?) supplement for the Mistborn Adventure Game by Crafty Games! It's called "Terris: Wrought of Copper" which just sounds awesome. Here's the cover by Tommy Arnold: It also appears that one of the makers is going to be interviewed about it this Monday the 24th on a live Google Hangout! Edit 1 Okay so I mentioned the Hangout on Monday but there are two more scheduled (though they are probably subject to change, Google-fu is useful) February 24th Hangout will be an overview discussing "what players, Narrators and fans can expect to find in this book." March 24th Hangout will discuss the Rules as well as "all-new insights into the awesome power of Feruchemy." April 21st Hangout will discuss "adventuring in the Terris Dominance." It is my plan to watch all of these and take notes! Edit 2 So here are the notes I took while watching the Hangout: There will be a line of books like this that look to take a deeper look at the different cultures on Scadrial. They have most of another written already, and work on a third is starting soon. (This excludes the Alloy supplement which is close) It is about 200 pages long and is mostly background information. i.e. stuff on Tathingdwen and the History of Terris. They were given a lot of latitude by Team Sanderson to write/expand, Alex who was being interviewed was the one who wrote the "Secret History" of Terris, that weaves in and around the official history in the books. They look at the question of whether the Terris are genetically docile and how it really isn't the case. Though they added things like "racial stunts" where a Terris character can play on that belief to appear less threatening. There's a new mechanic called "networks" which they say work vaguely like allignments. Essentially you can "buy" a relationship with a network and it will give you bonuses, however you have to act a certain way to maintain the relationship. The example given was the Synod, if you have a network with them you have access to their information network but you have to report back to them and you can't betray any Terris characters. There's more depth on Feruchemy (though not so much expanding the rules?) They talked a little about how the Terris dominance produces a lot of luxury goods (think Persian rugs) but are actually quite poor because of the Obligators. A big theme is "How much is known?" about feruchemy and the history of Terris The Synod is "not the only group in town" They are trying to breakdown the "sweeping generalities" that were a necessity of the novels. Alex also talked a lot about the Breeding Program and how it is the most important event to affect the Terris people, and it has a large section in the supplement. Most Terris can recognize the signs of Feruchemy. The Synod helped establish the Stewards. The supplement goes on sale/preorder next week. The PDF can be downloaded but the book is still being printed and should arrive in their warehouse by the end of March and by immediately shipped out. Edit 3: Here are my notes for the second Hangout: Less focus on the "crunchy bits" (i.e. stats and such i think?) more on making well-rounded characters. No new feruchemy rules in this (but they are coming in the AoL supplement) but there is background/flavor info (like where feruchemy comes from) Has information for making "authentic" Terris names as well as ideas for tragedies/destinies There are new abilities, namely networks, which are established relationships (you are "aligned" with a group) 1) Network Trait: you buy a network, for about the same as a normal trait, and you get a special trait 2) "The Benefit" you can draw upon help once per session, not usefull for every roll but in the proper situation it is awesome 3) Networks have requirements, i.e. you have to do/not do certain things to maintain relationship (i.e. with the Synod, you can't sell out a Terris person) Added Terris-unique stunts (formerly these only existed in relation to allomancy) They play on cultural/physical traits 1) Eidetic memory, they spoke to Brandon about this and the Terris have a higher incidence of people with eidetic memory than the nobles/skaa 2) Long arms, greater reach in combat 3) "I mean no Harm", called the "C-3PO Maneuver" plays of prejudice that Terris are subjugated/passive Metalminds as equipment, expanded from original. Mastercraftsman can make more effective "double" metalminds (holds twice the amount of charges), multiminds (made of a number of differen metals, so you can more easily access different kinds of charges), clothing (metal threads in clothes that act as hidden metalminds), etc. This is all "prequel stuff" for the AoL supplement. They didn't answer questions form the audience this time, which was kind of a bummer, but since the supplement is actually out so... Anyway there is a Hangout for the Alloy supplement in two weeks which I'll take notes for and the last Terris one listed above. Edit 5: Assorted updates The third hangout has been postponned, the new date has not been decided. An excerpt focusing on the City of Tathingdwen has been released. A series of posts detailing the evolution of the cover art are in the process of being posted on the Crafty Games Facebook, so far Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four, Part Five, and Part Six have been released. Also GeekNative.com has posted an excerpt discussing the breeding program and village life in the Terris dominace here.

In regards to the hair color, keep in mind Dalinar's wife passed hers on partially to her sons, both of who have blond hairs.

Actually both of them did do something to advance the game. Mailliw73 gave this "Danlan will be a traitor and kill a Kholin." TheShogun bought that and proposed "That Kholin will be Adolin" Which Cromptj sold and then proposed "Kaladin will be Honor's Champion" which is the current thing to be bought/sold On a side note the question you answered does not refer to Dalinar but to Danlan.
-
Okay people, let's put the discussion of Dalinar's thoughts and actions to rest or move it to its own thread or PMs. It has pretty much derailed this, and a couple other threads as well.

Who is going to be coming to the WoR release party at BYU?

Generally Brandon lets people with small children cut to the front of the line, I would ask. I don't know how Brandon will be doing it with the numbered editions though... -

My best guess would be Lecture #5.
