  1. It is mostly the same concept of "Investiture If left alone (without a mind to direct It) would develop a mind". Maybe there is a correlation as Shadesmar would similar develop without Minds affecting it
  2. Probably they started from the KR's perception of their status/role. You May notice that Kal himself produced a Glyph when he Spoke the third Oath
  3. Maybe the Radiant Spren's guidance or maybe a tuning with an operative Knight (based on the same phenomen that turn the KR's eyes)
  4. I don't like the Spren Plate theory but regardless just because the Radiant Spren is killed in the Oathbreaking, the lesser Spren could simply be there ready to keep their work. They are not dead or harmed, they are just there because the Radiant spren asked them and they mantains that configuration without further commands. It's not too different from a Fabrial, the Spren is not harmed or tortured...The Spren goes in the gemstone and it find his new condition perfectly normal. Again, I don't like the Spren Plate's theory too much, but it's plausible
  5. Also if a lot of stuffs seem to point to Authonomy. I proposed somewhere (it was an old topic) that Dominion could be a candidate. Sure, as far as we know he is not in a situation where he could manipulate things but his Investiture could be exploited by others (mortals or Shards) to be put in use for their objectives. By the way, our knowledge on Dominion's status could be good no more. A lot of things could happen during centuries....But I find this unlikely for the AU's essays
  6. To be honest, if someone recived the HB without know what it is... probably He can't access It's Powers and by the way a Larkin is more than enough to turn an inexperienced Honorblade's bearer to a regular partial Shardbearer.
  7. The Bondsmiths had never Shards. It's not only a SF's policy (by WoB). By the way, I believe too that Tanavast helped into SF's recovered. I Just wanted to know how the Highstorms were affected during SF's bad times
  8. Yeah this question to me is better, than the previous One. IndeedI don't believe there is a correlation between cracks and End-neutral but this Little extra could push him to explain us something more.
  9. I considerate this a long time ago but I didn't find a meaningful answer to this. By the way the answer to your question Will give you no clarification in the regard you want. A Breath could cracks a Soul but this doesn't mean the amount of Soul's Investiture decreese. By he way as the Breath has the unique (for now) property to have both Kinetic and Innate Investiture's features. It's possible that during the trasfert (Kinetic Investiture that don't Need soul crack) the Breath's euphoria is enough to crack your Soul a bit and this allows It to use the crack as junction point for its Innate Investiture's state. PS: all' the Nalthian for their Soul's configuration are defaultly cracked to me
  10. I believe there is already a WoB on the topic, It was about how a non-Nalthian would be see from people with the Lifesense. In the answer Brandon said something like "they would not show as Drab but their Innate Investiture could not be taken away". You are so skilled to WoB-Fu that I am sure you could fastly find it.
  11. Yeah the Returned need to feed of Investiture regardless of the form, I believe that more than "the Returned priorizes the regular breath before the Divine", it's actually the Divine Breath who operate to keep the Returned alive with everything it has avaliable...So the Divine Breath simply consume all the other Investiture and then, itself. It's possible, without doubt. But it will not be easy to performe. The Preservation's Stream is a bit less manipulable than Breath or Stormlight (there is a WoB somewhere on a Surgebinder fueled by Breath or Preservation's power that explain this a bit) so It could be done, but we don't know the amount to workaround to make it possible. I had a theory in this regard but it was proved false but remember Vasher is in a certain way already bonded with a Splinter (the Divine Breath), I believed it was the cause of his ability to use Stormlight (you could fina a more detailed explaination in my signature) but we know for WoB that Szeth could use the same way Vasher does to obtains Investiture to use safety Nightblood (by the way this doesn't mean he will do it, just that it's possible for him to performe the same trick) therefore my Returned-trick isn't right. Acutally those are not my terms, they are actually Canon term to Investiture. Kinetic Investiture is the Investiture in use. It acts as a stream of power (A Seeker feels the Kinetic Investiture's usage) The Innate Investiture is a bit more complex to explain but it's the Investiture who compose the Soul or Investiture stable in a passive way (by the way, the Lifesense detect Innate Investiture) My explaination is a bit lacking but I don't think this is the best place to talk of this...If you want I am sure you could find a better explaination here on the forum
  12. The Divine Breath is a totally different thing at all, It is a Splinter of Endowment, while Breath are Just a bunch of Investiture (the same difference between a Spren and Stormlight). It's possible the opposite, multiple infused gems could worth a Breath, we don't know the ratio. By the way I strongly disagree both of he stockpiling of Stormlight ad the Stormlight has properties completely different from Breath and the possibility for Vasher to reach highter Heightenings with Stormlight. Breath acts in a unique (for now) way. It has both Innate and Kinetic Investiture's properties. While it works as Innate Investiture It gifts Heightening... In Kinetic Investiture mode, It no. Stormlight instead has not an Innate Investiture's profilo (and It's not strage as Almost no other Kinetic Investiture acts like Innate other than Breath).
  13. Yeah that was my theory @Calderis, I believe this could extent to other little other cases in the Cosmere
  14. There is a WoB about (but at work I could not search on Theoryland) that Trasformation requires Gemstones always. It's a bit quirk of the Soulcasting
  15. Progression requires not addictional medium to be used while Trasformation requires a right kind of gemstone and it could possible destroy it. Progression allow also to make food grow and be ready for when you will need it, while Soulcasting have to be done almost in little time before the food has to be used (or it will rot as every other biological matter). As you could see there is no a unilateral Soulcasting>Growth but it depends on the context, both of them have scenarios where they could overcome the other. By the way I believe different Orders gains access to the Surges to the same extent, the minor differences are probably caused by the Radiant's attitude, a possible sinergy with the other surge and (if applicable) the KR's Resonance. PS: The Bondsmiths don't seem able to allow Radiants to do something beyond their normal Surges' capacity. Shallan (except the needed information) could create a map like that if she wanted. Dalinar didn't boosted her Lightweaving, he only force her to activate it
  16. The fact is that as far as we know, Bondsmith's Resonance doesn't boost other Powers. What Shallan did, is in her standard power's scope, She misses only the informations to put in the map. So Dalinar could unwilling Force her to Activate her Illumination but the Surge was not improved or boosted. In this regard of the Truthwatchers could do what you propose, the Bondsmith's Aid is useless.
  17. The Inkspren are not related to Scholarlship but rather to the Logic and don't let the emotions to change your attitude and decision (I will call them Logicspren but there are already, so maybe MethodicSpren or Analitycspren). By the way, I think (but this is subjective) that the creative attitude in Lightweaver is a likely conseguence to the real concept/attribute. So I believe Truthspren is really the Cryptics' True name
  18. @Calderis that was my theory on Kel's return. I proposed this last year and I found It possible but high speculative. In the meanwhile new WoBs increased the likehood of It. So I am Happy to see It again
  19. The Stormseat's One wasn't locked. Maybe they choose to leave One access open or maybe all' the orders with trasportation way already broke their Oaths and the Knight could not Seal off Urithuru without be' struck into
  20. But he fel the Stormlight's feeling back then also if of course he could not recognize it. Adolin instead was mostly calm and without any notice of the classic Stormlight's feeling
  21. Wait I believe there is a sense in giving the Blade to Elhokar and maybe also in sending him to the capital. I don't see the sense of both waiting Kal to Start AND giving the Honorblade to Elhokar. I am more on wait Kal OR giving the Blade to someone else to send to the capital (maybe Elhokar maybe not). By the way Elhokar could be sent to the capital with one of his cousins (I believe Renarin will be more fit to the role) in mission. Elhokar could provide fast travel methods and Renarin a support for both infiltration (but I don't believe he is ready to this) or for logistic support to the capital itself (in the middle of a civil war, someone who could heal people is priceless). The contro to this is that without the Honorblade and Renarin, Urithuru is again stuck with Shallan as only gatekeeper...a troublesome situation.
  22. This. The structure below isn't affected so your bones remain the same size. Therefore there will be a point where the muscles become an obstacle to the movements and beyond that the muscle itself will stop you from moving at all
  23. The idea is interesting but high unlikely. Glys is a Truthwatcher's spren this mean for definition he and his kind were influenced by Humans and therefore they could not be part of the "Humans ignored this spren so they remain bound to the old Listeners' perceptions"
  24. The Shardblade doesn't have to be made of Deadspren. They could be really fine and alive in their Plate form...Once a Radiant Spren told them to configure in that way and their are keeping doing It.
  25. Honestly if Lirin will be a Radiant. I wanted him to be from an Order without the Progression Surge
