Well...I don't think there is a Gemstone of that size (maybe a couple if some Reshi's Islands ever died in the past) but mainly yes. I am quite sure they could use big gemstone to create a storage for the weeping.

We know by WoB there are no Ruin/Preservation or Harmony's Splinters but K and N can't know it
-
You have to considerate that Radiants are able to manage Stormlight, so for them is possible to leave giant size Gemstone as Battery and move part of the Stormlight from them to the portable one. Huge Gemstone could hold Stormlight for longer. You may see how the Stormlight Lantern the Alethi use are able to hold Stormlight for half of a weeping. Something Gemheart's size si probably enough to hold Stormlight for the whole Weeping without problems

Healing is able to heal someone cutted in the spine by a Shardblade, we know this from the WoR's ending (before the change but still canon in the mechanics) Actually F-Gold isn't faster simply with F-Gold you could choose the ratio you tap from the Metalminds quite freely (also if high multipliers are less efficient) while with Stormlight's Healing your Healing's rate is strictly related to the amount of Stormlight you hold in that moment and you could not be as flexible as a Bloodmaker. Regarding the Stormlight's healing in comparison to F-Gold, the first seems to be more limited than other Cosmere's Healing as it's stated that a Head crushing blow will be enough for a game over. SPECULATION TIME ON: I honestly think this happen not for a Stormlight's deficit but for Nahel's bond's reasons. When you recive a fatal blow, you (spoiler alert) die this always but someone with a Healing Power could still activate it to recover from the damage and in the end auto-resurrect itself. The tricky part is with Nahel's Surgebinding because the power based on the bond and the Bonds are released at the moment of death...This mean that a fatal blow, kill the Surgebinder, release the Bond and the Surgebinder has no more the power to heal himself. SPECULATION TIME OFF: Now I want to propose another way to kill a Gold Compounder but this way could work only for a very expert and savant one (and I know this is quite strange). A Compounder's soul will be over time twisted by the amount of Investiture managed and as Rashek the stable metalminds will become slowly part of the owner's Spirit-web. Removing one of those Metalmind will cause a Spiritual Shock and probably the owner will be unable to actual use his power in a timeframe afterwork (by the way this is the exact way Rashek was defeated) and this leave an open window to kill him. Of course this "plan" has a deadly fault, we don't know if a lifetime is enough for the change to happen, Rashek was 1000 years old and the only other similar cases in the Cosmere was probably still older than him. But I wanted to propose it.

Nicrosil Twinborn aren't actually useless.
Yata replied to ForcesOfNoodles's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Except that twisting your Soul, still twists the mind/body (it's exactly the base of Forgery) and require tons of Investiture to resist the Soul's natural state so IF you could do it you will probably still affect (and I am not sure only positivelly) the body and the mind. In this regard we don't even know if it's possible to store so selective with Nicrosil Feruchemy or if you are limited to store powers or your directly your innate investiture without a specific selection. Compound this last one is still not useless but the main benefits you will have are probably something similar to have Breath (better Health and improved connection to the sorrund). -
The Oathpact (whatever it contains) is not a Deal between Shards but between Honor and the Herals. If a Shard falls automatically under the Oathpact's rules on Roshar (or Great Roshar) is possible (to be honest I think it is the case) but Cultivation is not a core part to it.

Yeah, I spend very few time on the Shard now, my weekend's routine has very little free time. Returning to the topic, probably we see that sentence greatly different but I read "men" in a loose meaning. I know in our real world terms say "humans" and "men" is almost the same thing because we are the only know sapient race on the planet. But in a Multi-Racial context (as the Cosmere and Roshar in the specific is) I think the "men" include all the physical Sapient beings so Humans, Aimians, Listeners, Ryshadium, Santhid and probably some other being I am forgetting at the moment. Similarry He see all the Sapient Sprens regardless of her type to be true spren above the vast amount of spren who are not sapients enouth I also don't see any clue on a possible Odium's influence in Stormfather (well rather than be in War with Rayse of course)

I don't think think the Stormfather meant the Oath as magical element but rather the mundane Oaths. So the ability to "make a promise and restrict myself to follow my own words" is what that make the difference between Humans and Beasts. As a little clue, notice how gently and worry was the Stormfather when Eshonai was in the Highstorm to change into Stormform PS: By the way, The Listeners are probably (as people) a more Honor-centric society than the Roshar's human.

I didn't see an actual counterproof but but Identity itself isn't a shield is something that (if it matchs) allows Investiture to work with other Investiture well without make a mess. But when this not happen probably it's meaningless how far the IdentityA is from IdentityB. Beyond a certain range they interfer each other. Two different beings are already beyond that range and therefore their Identity-Surplus could be meaningless (well except the standard "having extra kinetic Investiture in you")
-
Because she firstly wanted and open herself to the Stormspren. When she decide to not want to change was already too late. If a Parshman could prevent a Stormspen from turning him, I can't see Eshonai unable to do the same in the right timeframe
-
The Parshendi doesn't transform unwillingly, the Parshmen (for their weak willpower that mostly can't protect them from a voidspren) will do it. If some Listener is in a Form He would resist the effect quite well I suppose. Sure the Listener already in a Form of Power will be willing to take another Form of Power

Regard the third point ( @Calderis already covered perfectly the first two) Also if you could use a Shardblade as Spike (something hard for its level of Investiture) your trick will still not work. The Stolen Spirit Web is actually keeped in the Spike costricted by the Metallic arts' rule without the Spike (your case with the Shardblade dismiss but also if you Soulcast a Spike in...wood for example) the Spirit Web would be simply lost. It will not remain in the reciver

I don't think an Alluminium bullet is a really issue for a ready gold-compounder. Of course the wound is unable to proper heal unless the allumin is removed and it will cost to the Compounder a extra need of Healing for the whole process but for someone with almost an unlimited store of Healing is not a problem (or we will not be here to talk about). An Alluminium bullet in the head it's not a problem for me (well if you shoot an alluminium bullet to me, it will be a problem) as the Mind or Cognitive Aspect is not someone who lives in the Brain in Cosmere. Someone could still think and act after his own death (Rashek and Miles exposed how far damage they could handle) and therefore the brain is not a Mind's vessel. There is nothing who prevent you from activing your own power (if applicable to the kind of power) after your death if you are stil Connected to your physical and we saw it in BoM and I don't think a brain damage (also with alluminium) could be worst.

How did people forget about the D'denir being Kalad's phantoms?
Yata replied to Arcoss's topic in Warbreaker
Probably the people didn't forgot it. Simply they never know the Kalad's Phantom were stone beings, it was almost a secret weapon you know there is but you know what it is. Then after the War, Peacekeeper simply made the statues be taken into the city and nobody could suspect anything (I don't think the statues arrived on their own feet where they will stay for centuries. -
Nightblood made from a dead Shardblade is an argument who arose periodically and has a lot of things that made it almost impossible. 1) The look doesn't fit 2) A Shardblade is defined to be so "full of Investiture" to not be usable as a Spike. Hemalurgy is a low-Investiture magic system and if some piece of S-Web could find place in a Shardblade....1000 Breath worth of Raw Investiture can't too. 3) Vasher tried to replicate a Shardblade with his Magic. It has no sense if you use a Shardblade as Awakening's target. 4) Vasher is worried to a Mass production of Nightblood-like sword, thousands of them. If for every "nightblood" you need a Shardblade, this is impossible and not an issue at all.

Yeah I was the first to propose the Identity boost as a magic defence but from the time I find some hard to ignore counter to that...So I am not so sure as I was
-
@Calderis already pointed out but the "reduce investiture" was clarified in another WoB (but I have problem to find it sadly)
-
The Spanreed's problem is lesser or fixed at all with Roshar as all the knowed world is a single pangea like continent and therefore every point is relative near to another one

Honestly I don't believe "Voidlight" to exist at all. Gavilar's Sphere from his own words contains a Spren so in theory our only really clue about Voidlight is removed. I am either deeply unsure about Stormlight's nature I still see it as "Adonalsium's Investiture" rather than Honor/Cultivation/H&C's Investiture also if it's spread now by a being deeply connected with Honor. About the future Voidbinding I think it will use Stormlight too as the Stormlight seems to be not keyed to anything as everyone on Roshar both animal or vegetable are able to assimilate it a bit. PS: If I forgot another reference or clue on Voidlight, please make me notice it.

Gencon Hemalurgy WoB (Random realmatic discussion)
Yata replied to Calderis's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Indeed it is mostly as I think except that "Trellium" was carried to Scadrial rather than Bleeder retrive it outside of Scadrial. But it's a minor difference after all and Realmatical meaningless- 143 replies

I discovered Brandon thanks to the Wheel of Time, after reading WoT I searched other story wrote by him. For how I discovered the Shard is a bit more complex, there was a scene in the Mistborn's trilogy that made no sense for me. So I searched on Internet and I discovered the Coppermind and the Cosmere...from one of the Coppermind's page I arrived on a Shard's page here...and so my story begin. Well I studied English at school from 6 (now I am 27 years old). Of course the School's English is....well not really useful so I started to actual learn English probably from 15 thanks to Internet and videogames. English is not a difficult language to learn, it's structure is quite simple and rather my own language it's really harder....Of course I keep making a lot of error in English and my spoken English is awful because I have no chance to improve it in everyday life

I would add to Calderis's point that Alethela (the modern Alethkar) was the Silver Kingdom dedicated to the art of war and Taln is the Herald of War. It's likely the Herald have almost fixed "spawning points" and from there they began to prepare the people in according with their roles. About the Wet, I think (as other) that is caused by the same reason the Shardblades have it. Taln didn't simply arrived by Elsecalling. He will have no way to use the Elsecalling and much more I don't see him capable of walking for continental distance in the CR to arrive there.

Gencon Hemalurgy WoB (Random realmatic discussion)
Yata replied to Calderis's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yeah probably it's better to forget the whole semantic issue because this topic is already too confused and wild in the arguments and I am sorry if I replied in a messy way. My post was simply to define that both YOUR "Cognitive Identity" and "Spiritual Identity" (with the definition you had for those terms) are not the "Identity" in the Realmatic Theory (and therefore neither the trait you store/tap from an Alluminiumind). The rest was just to show you the reason and the in-book proof of the Identity's Nature. But you said that Oversleep already clarified this (probably I missed some posts when I recoveded this thread) so my post was probably pointless.- 143 replies
