[OB Part One] Question about Urithiru and infusing spheres
Yata replied to Frasure2's topic in Stormlight Archive
I don't understand what you mean. The tower is above the Highstorms' level and can't directly recive Stormlight from the Storm itself -
Yeah but Inquisitors' Spikes doesn't contain many Feruchemical Powers and neither the new Metals' Allomantic powers
-
Interesting thanks
-
I agree with Calderis. There is nothing wrong in them and in their Spirit-Web to be cleansed

Honestly as I said before I don't know. But Brandon stated there is a way to worldhop built into the Metallic Arts and as TLR has all the powers...he would be able to use this way too. My point is that those object would still need to touch TLR to harm him and he could dispose of the Breath in at least a couple of ways and by the way TGK need to be really cautios in awakening a lot of stuff. His Breath's reserve is huge, but Awakening is really Breath taxing.Awake 100 object will already comes close to erode most of TGK's reserves.

Yeah I understood your point but still I believe that multiple Hemalurgy will have an extremelly high chance to fail, Hemalurgy rips the soul and it's not only a matter of "power extraction" the people loses much more than that (or the one who survive to Hemalurgy will be mostly normal people). Trying to rip multiple stuff at the same time, you risk to have neither of the Spikes fully charged of what he needs. The Question 4 is mostly the same scenario but it has also the added difficult task of hitting the right bindpoint with each metal and right (the bindpoint are really tiny). If you simply hold them together they will be a bunch of Spikes not a single one and by the way I believe it isn't even possible to insert more than a Spike in the same bindpoint for both pratical and spiritual reasons. First of all, we don't even know if Kelsier is a Fullborn. The Band could be made by someone else under Kelsier's direction. By the way, we know that Kelsier & Spook did exactly what you excluded. They harvested powers from a bunch of metalborn to progress in their research. Lastly we don't know if Kelsier retained his Mistborn's Status once he returned physical, if this is the case. He alone will have already 16+ powers. Of course this doesn't change that 16 Spikes will still be too much. Personally, I believe Kelsier has a couple of Spikes with strategic powers, nothing more and he is not by himself a Fullborn without using Medallion-Tech

Assuming you don't die (the most common result of Hemalurgy) you will be simply a bit less of yourself and with the Hemalurgy fault too. You could steal everything you want with an Atium Spike but the Spike could keep just one thing at time (like the others metals) as far as we know In theory is possible, if the Mistborn doesn't die when you performe the first Hemalurgy on him. But I really doubt you could do this more than one time (so two Spikes if you are luck) I honestly don't know, as you need to put intent to use Hemalurgy I don't even know if you could performe two Hemalurgy together (but this is not a problem as you need only a collegue), mostly as the Soul is ripped the guy mostly die and if he doesn't we don't know if the Soul is in condition to be properly spiked again. This is true also for the previous question. First of all, if you are human, you could tollerate until 3 Spikes without be opened to direct control. The fourth will allow external forces to control you. Returning to your question, are you asking if you could fuse together Spikes to stack charge right ? Of course if they are made of different metals you could not but also if they are made of the same metal I believe you could not forge them together if they were not originally made by the same "donor" as the two Identity could mess with them. I hope my questions are helpful, I feel I could possibly mistake some of your questions. If this is the case, made me notice and I will try to answer them properly
-
Oh youngling...I just became a Dawnsinger
-
Actually the Fused were already searching for them but I assume Odium would notice if Sja-Anat defected in a too explicit way and tracking the Oathgate's function is something into his possibility. In this way Sja-Anat could simply say she was unable to find them once they arrived in Shadesmar, her corrupted spren did what they were supposed to do (they would be able to betray her if Odium start to make the right questions) but something unexpected happened after
-
Adding to what @Weltall already said. Find someone able to balance the two Shards in the way Sazed does...it's really hard. Other beings will become really troublesome with the powers Sazed holds

theory [OB] How to Stop a Fused & Make a Parshman
Yata replied to Wit Beyond Measure's topic in Stormlight Archive
If the Fused were connected to BAM at that time I assume they could recive some bad feedback (different from Parshmen One) from her capture. But there were no Fused in the False Desolation.. because It wasn't a Desolation. -
The throwing table is a basic Lashing well aimed, nothing more. Kal could do the same easily.
-
I am missing the whole point of choosing a successor. Anyway, no Scadrial's character fits the role to me Why does he have to do something like that? By the way, @John203 meant that the prevalent theory is that Autonomy is attaching Scadrial, not Odium
-
@Mutantspicy your whole argument is "Awakening could do in theory other stuffs we don't know" and while this is true is almost meaningless ad argument as in theory all' this "other stuffs" could be' useless in the fight with TLR and honestly also Allomancy and Feruchemy could do funky stuffs we don't know yet. For example there is at least a way to worldhop built into the Metallic Art so TLR could shift to Shadesmar reaches TGK and kill him in a moment. Or again TLR could nullify the Awakened objects they make contact with him discharge them (Chromium) or stealing their Breath (playing with Identity). The God King is powerful but It's a glass cannon...a single good hit and It's over. He could give to the Fullborn a Little of slowing down...but at the end, he can't really stop him.
-
Yeah exactly, It "Simply" compresa the power's output in a Little timeframe so more metals in the reserves produce more Power when the Durallumin is burned
-
Her Perpendicularity is the only trustworthy way to move from/to the PR. It will be' foolish to not consider It a critical strategic points. By the way, the Fused Need It to arrive in Shadesmar's too (with the probably exception of the Traspotation Fused) and Odium Need to operate a control also in that Realm

Will the Nahel spren ever befriend one another?
Yata replied to The Night Watcher's topic in Stormlight Archive
Usually Spren don't interact too much between them. It seems they aren't able to sense or see other "invisible Spren" once they transition in the Physical. Syl probably reacted to Pattern because he is always visible and he was exposed. By the way I am sure Syl never talked with Glys or Ivory (She never was in the same location of the Inkspren) -
[OB] Spiritual Uses of Progression
Yata replied to Lord Mistborn Bondbreaker's topic in Stormlight Archive
Well Progression already heals the soul. So I can't see another application of it -
Lord Ruler Or The Ten Heralds
Yata replied to Lord Mistborn Bondbreaker's topic in Stormlight Archive
First of all, Ishar could not boost anyone. But if we are talking of the Heralds in the ancient times...they were fueled directly by Honor so they have access to unlimited Investiture (but still I believe there is a limit in how much Investiture you could have in a specific moment). For the rest I agree with @Calderis unless TLR understimate them, he would win...by the way, once he see they could heal, he could One shot them performing Hemalurgy in them.- 5 replies

theory [OB] [MB] Midnight Essence = Mistwraiths?
Yata replied to Wit Beyond Measure's topic in Stormlight Archive
There are Kandra in Roshar (and other Shardworlds) because they are actually worldhoppers and Harmony's agents. Returning to the main topic, the mistwraiths and Midnight Essences have no relations other than be' able to change their look, by the way this Change works under different mechanics. It will be like to say that: Mistwraiths, Midnight Essences, Returned, Siah Aimians and Sleepless are all the same. As Vortaan said the Midnight Essences predate Mistwraiths of thousands of years...so no Odium remaking Mistwraiths (also if regardless of that is quite obvious they are absolutelly different kinds of beings) -
@The One Who Connects yeah, that one. Thanks I remembered the wording a bit different and I believed there was a referece to spoiler stuff in it. But instead it is spoiler-free so I was wrong in not post it

Hemalurgy as @MacThorstenson stated works everywhere but as it requires Intent to be performed and it's actual complex to put in place. Nobody will discover it for case. Returning to your question. All the Magic Systems are potentially usable everywhere (The Selish's one are weird because of Sel's state). But some requirements of the magic itself could not be so avaliable everything. Some requires Investiture with a specific features, but if you have it...you could carry around and use it (Awakening for example), other requires specific objects/beings not avaliable off world but again you could carry them from their homeland (Sand Mastery and Aviar) still others comes to a symbiosis and one of the two parts has an hard time to leave the homeplanet (KR and Shardwielding) The Metallic Arts are mostly the more portable because once you are a Metalborn, your other requirement is spread all across the Cosmos, while other portable magics will have problem to replace the requirement if lost (Awakening for example)

Assuming it is possible how this would stop TLR other than giving him a possible tool or avoid them ? By the way, Nightblood isn't really replicable (via WoB) his creation took some weird factors to be possible. A rightful Awakened-Shardblade will be really different from NB First of all, Invested object are harder to affect and mostly, Awakening doesn't allow rigid objects to move, so it will simply awake the metal but the metal is unable to move away. Lastly Rashek could keep compound by his inner metals or simply dispose of the awakening with Chromium (and this is true whatever an Awakened object make contact with him) Susebron lacks of knowledge and experience but regardless....Vasher with Susebron's Breath will still be unable to fight on pair of someone like Rashek who is an overpowered character

Could you (hypothetically) push/pull on lerasium?
Yata replied to Lord Bookwyrm's question in Cosmere Q&A
Yes an Allomancer could easily push/pull on Lerasium or godmetals in general (for example we saw this with the Atium). And yes, an Invested object is more hard to affect with other Investiture. (as @manukos already pointed out) How both this are true ? Simply a godmetal isn't high Invested. It's simply Investiture into solid form but he isn't made of MORE investiture than regular matter...How this is possible is still unknown and there are speculation about but no an official explaination
