[New WoB] Allomantic Bronze & the Listener Rhythms
Yata replied to Aethenoth's topic in Cosmere Discussion
This WoB means that on Scadrial there are no Rhythms or some Bronze Misting will have to hear them. But we know that the Rhythms are something not dependant from the Listener and they aren't a phenomeno limitated to Roshar. (We have a old WoB) If we puts together this two informations we may think that the Rhythms have a source (or more) and they "travels" in specific path in the space... and Roshar is in one of this path. The possibility of Shard induced signal became more likely. -
The only problem with Bondsmith's Spren is about the Stormfather himself. He is our only knowed Bondsmith's Spren. But he is a special case in another Special case XD I mean whaterver the Rider of the Storm (I still think the Rider of the Stom was an Adonalsium Spren) was, it was a pretty unique Spren... He merged with Tanavast's Shadow only after... Therefore we see a mutation of Bondsmith's Spren... It's hard to find a good pattern for others Bondsmith's Spren
-
Someone speculated that three bondsmith may be bonded with the Stormfather at the same time. Other like me think something like Stormfather, Nightwatcher and Cushiecs (probably I called it bad,the Spren from Axis PoV) or another Odium like Spren
-
We have no sure proofs or WoB. I still think that the Honorblade are bonded with the Heralds and the Heralds themself can't break this bonds. This mean (if I have right) that every Herald may summon his Honorblade if he want breaking any other bond with the Blade itself

But in the end it's possible that the coat didn't become lighter from "Awakening Color Drain" but just because VenDell recovered more and more Breath from everywhere he stores/uses it, and the characters saw just the effect of VenDell's Biocromatic Aura on VenDell himself PS: I forgot it, but I really like this Theory

I meant that everytime you want to use Stormlight or Surges with an Honorblade you have to touch it in the meanwhile. But if you say Szeth used Surgebinding without Honorblade, I am wrong ;-) May I ask where/when happen ? I really can't remember something like that

What happened to Atium Mistings after the Catacendra
Yata replied to Charlie.x.3000's topic in Mistborn
I don't think the Hacking Preservation made it is still working (Sazed probably stopped it) but the old ones will retain thier abilities. Of course quite all have died in battle or by old age in the years after and anyway they have no more Atium, therefore they can't use their power. But still they have Allomancy's gene to pass to their offspring. -
I may write only the one I rememeber: - Honorblade consumes more Stormlight (a dangerous amount as Syl said) - Sprenblade may change form (as we saw with Syl and Pattern) - Spren's bond probably grants Shardplate (we saw quite all the ancient KR with Shardplate but none a single Herald with Shardplate) - Honorblade abilities aren't bound to moral or external control - (Possible) You have to touch an Honorblade to obtain Surgebinding abilities, while a KR may uses it also without touch the Spren (but the spren have to be quite near)

I think the best analogy is about 70 Kg of Cells and an Human being.. they are both 70 Kg of matter made by the same raw materials. But one is a general purpose and indipendent set of Cells, the second is an overall functional entity. In the end the main difference is about a Splinter be a structured amount of Investiture

Why there are four types of Allomantic metals
Yata replied to Stormgate's topic in Cosmere Discussion
In his previous post I suggested Preservation-Gold and Ruin- Electrum from your same reason and because through Gold Feruchemy you may preserve yourself. -
I don't think he may lash the wind or any other gassous thing, in the end if also he may do it, it would affect only the atoms who touchs and in the end some atoms can't hurt much. Anyway he may create a great bullet out of any object with a strong lash but with very less precision

Why there are four types of Allomantic metals
Yata replied to Stormgate's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yeah it's the reason I find unlikely to try a relationship Shard-Metal.... Anyway I think you must start from Ruin. After all it's the only Shard knowed that we know every Metallic Art interaction of his own GodMetal. Probably if you want to create this relationship you have to take the "purest" form of a Shard's power and try to find likehood with the metals. It's the reason in your previous topic that I create the Ruin-Electrum pair. -

I rememeber that Kenton have to touch the Sand to Mastered it. Others Sand Masters (more powerful than him) may Mastered Sand without touch ( I rememeber some Mastrell did it)... but in the end they may "fake" it... For example probably I don't think you have to touch Sand with your hands alone. If you are outside and the sand touch your skin on the leg or feet you may probably still Master (maybe it's a bit harder to perform mastery with different part of the body). It isn't too strange for a Sand Master to have some hole in their shoes to have quite always skin contact with the Sand I presume. Instead I will find a Sand Master pretty dumb to don't take this kind of precautions.

I think we "saw" it only in the end of White Sand, when in the arena Drille tries to performe slatrification but Kenton stops him.

As far as we know after sometime the Well and the Pits "spawned" (without a better term) on Scadrial (quite near if I don't remember wrong). Then after some time, Preservation betrayed Ruin, stealing some amount of his power and locked it in the Well. The amount of Ruin's stolen power was putted in the cycle of Atium's generation and this happened near of the Ruin's Perpendicularity (maybe because it was the easier place where the Ruin's investiture may be converted in to physical metal) But in the end, the pits contained both the perpendicularity and the "Atium-generator".

knowing the main characters of Elantris Sequel... it have to be placed not more of lifespan after Elantris or 2/3 of the Main characters woul be dead XD
-
Of course it has not the name of Pit of Hatsin yet, but also after Rashek his function didn't change... Also during Alendi's time the Pits produced Atium (well it were probably sature of Atium pre-Ascension without nobody that mined it)
-
Yeah there is a shardpool in the pit... If I remember right Alendi wrote it on is Journal... Mistborn spoiler (from the final empire)

Some people think she used both her surges together to Soulcast at distance (sending her Trasformation surge with Trasportation). Or maybe it is not exactly the two surges but the secondary effect of her surges.

Yeah in the end is more probably that a Massacre would give a boost to Harmony (a quite meaningless amount).
