  1. Sorry Chaos! I'm sorry I distracted you. I still have to get all the MB ones collected. That's a job for another weekend though.
  2. I got some answers (though I think that some of them still should be asked that I answer, just because most of his answers are.. vague.
  3. Gah! I've been searching for the reference for a while and I can't find it. My memory is telling me that Brandon Sanderson once said that Returning Infants involved giving them Breath while still in the womb. A-ha! I found it! It ends up he answered some questions on Twitter that I didn't have in the Brandonothology. Twitter Q&A
  4. spit on delicious
  5. Surprised. They did
  6. Marsh is a seeker too. Remember? He trains Vin?
  7. I've got an old(er) batch of questions that I meant to ask for the Tor Q&A. Where do Kelsier and Marsh get their nobility from? I know that Marsh snapped after obligators got their Mom, so I assume it's from their father? Or are they second generation? Is there some reason that both Vin and Kelsier are half-skaa, half-nobleman, both are quite skilled at allomancy, both end up overthrowing the Lord Ruler, and have siblings that are seekers? Was Kelsier Ruin's 'back-up' plan? Or was he Preservation's? Why (from a writer's perspective) are the gods in your novels are gods instead of Gods? Are the Arch-people (the assumed Heralds in the epigraph arches) representing people? or magics? (probably RAFO'd) How come you never had Elend burn Gold? How would that affect him since he's a Lerasium-Mistborn?
  8. be involved in If it did, it would be too small for a ice cream truck. But since there isn't an escalator, then there is enough room for an ice cream truck. Even a screaming one.
  9. Leinton proves he is worthy of his name... again.
  10. I'm pretty sure the animal hemalurgy has an answer. I'll try to dig it up. Also, Chaos, yeah, all the edits are fine. I think Endowment is a girl just from the two word description we have of the Voice. "Caring and Gentle". Generally more feminine traits. Plus, I think that Cultivation needs a friend Found Hemalurgy answer! HoA Q&A-
  11. I;m playing nitrome. They're simple flash games, but some of the concepts are really intriguing.
  12. I've got some. Cosmere Questions- 1. Is the Dor the same as the Power of Creation that powers allomancy? 2. Confirm Genders for us for the sake of clarity. Aona is a girl, Skai is a boy, and the cognitive mind of Endowment is a girl, Right? 3. Is the interaction between shards and magic similar on Sel and Scadrial? (Is there a "Power Gain" (Aons/Allomancy), a "Power from self" (ClayShan/Feurchemy), and a "Power from others" (Dahkor/Hemalurgy) 4. Can you give us a clear definition of Splinter? Right now my definition is a "object" that holds a bit of a shard's power in it. You have said before that Returned's divine breath are Splinters. Are Seons splinters? Are Lerasium and Atium splinters? (I tend to say yes to the first and no to the second) 5. Did Sel's early magic users have Aona's help building Elantris? 6. Is Endowment's name Edgli? WoK- 7. Is the black sphere that Szeth is given by Gavilar similar in ways to Lerasium/Atium? (Condensed power of a god) 8. Is Blunt (first interlude with the Dula) from Nalthis (Warbreaker world)? 9. Are there "special appearances" (aka World Hoppers) from anyone in the prologue? 10. Finally, a question you will be able to answer. I finally realized what (really) makes the mistborn books different from Warbreaker. Mistborn almost always has a enemy. First it's Lord Ruler, then its the armies, and then it is Ruin. Warbreaker, on the other hand, never has a super strong enemy that the heroes are working together to defeat. Was this intentional?
  13. I didn't write it. I compiled it from the Tor Q&A, the Goodreads Q&A, the HoA Q&A, and the Barnes and Noble Q&A. It's most of the public knowledge that we have about the cosmere.

  14. Perhaps. It doesn't make too much sense, though, with Chaos's Principle of Intent. Dahkor makes sense (Ruin himself says that a man's passion is not true until he proves how much he's willing to sacrifice for it.) Clayshan as an intermediate does (it's passion, but contained, controlled, directed, peaceful). But AonDor doesn't seem to. Maybe we need to look for something a little bit off. Look at Scadrial. It's not Preservation and Change, and it's not Ruin and Creation. It's something slightly different. I believe we need to look for that.
  15. Perhaps Passion, if he is a shard, is on Sel (Elantris world). What if Passion is Skai? Over and over again, it mentions Dilaf's passion (although I don't recall it being capitalized). And Dilaf is the only one to mention the Skaze (pg 479 paperback). Perhaps it is the one behind the Dahkor monks. EDIT- I found the capitalized word you're looking for. It's not Kiin (Uncle to Sarene in Elantris). It's Yalb (the servant who shows Shallan around when she gets rejected by Jasnah). Hardback 133 WoK- Edit Edit- Darn it. That kind blows away any support for my theory. I was hoping Kiin said something about Passion. Edit Edit Edit- Did you know that "passion" doesn't show up a single time in Warbreaker? It shows up many times in the other books, but not once in Warbreaker.
  16. Except that since each shard has a cognitive effect on the person who's holding it (how Ati eventually became Ruin), wouldn't the interactions of the shards be important to identify so we know how Sazed's mind will be shaped? Or do you believe that the two shards will balance each other out, and that the Sazed in AoL will be the same as the Sazed in HoA (although much more experienced)?
  17. Balance seems... odd for a shard name. It seems like the others are more traits (Endowment, Odium, Honor, Ruin, Preservation) Perhaps Balance could be Justice, but that doesn't make sense that Ruin + Preservation = Justice. It seems like the text seems to imply that when Preservation and Ruin work together, they get Creation. That's how Scadrial was made.
  18. because Rayse was Also, isn't it a youtube video? WeezyWaiter?
  19. spontaneously combust into
  20. I have a theory! (though it has little to back it up) I think that at some point, Sazed will restart the Pits of Hathsid. He may bury it deep underground, but I think that he will divert some of his power from Ruin and divert it there. Why? Because I believe that if all that atium comes back to him, that he will become slanted. He will then become slightly more Ruin than Preservation. We know that when Ruin=Preservation, that creation rules. Well if Ruin>Preservation, that could be troublesome.
  21. This looks great! Quick thing (though this may be a thing to ask Chaos). Could you either change your font color or the background color so it is slightly more readible?
