  1. You would have your assassin kill an innocent child? I'm ashamed of you Eerongal. (psst. Andrew. I need some backup here.)
  2. Hmm... I know! Lovely Girl Scout! Look at that mean old Emeralis! We only wanted to have a cookie of our own, but he wouldn't let us. "He didn't? That's not very nice. He's supposed to share." Nope. And when we had him share, he got mean and stole it. Stole it I tell you! "He STOLE a COOKIE?!?! That makes me so... so...." *poof* Attack my Girl Scout Bear! Attack! (And now it's a bear, so it can't understand you. Haha.)
  3. No!! I knew I shouldn't have gotten distracted by that explosion! (starts building ACME rocket skates without looking at instructions)
  4. Hey, I'm just a mercenary. I just do whatever my boss says.
  5. (attempts to growl ferociously, hoping to dishearten any who dare to try and take Trendkill's desserts.) Grr.
  6. Huh? (Quickly stuffs dessert-like substance into pocket) Hey Trendkill, I didn't know you had statues of people in Shard people. Especially not in such menacing positions. Wait.... Look out! (Quickly Leaps above Trendkill)
  7. The alloy of law question though, means big things for us. Isn't alloy of law set with guns and such? Centuries after Mistborn? And if that's the case, that probably means that the other Elantris books and Nightblood are probably before it too. (Elantris 2 is like 10 years after, Elantris 3 is questionable, but is supposed to be 10 years after that, and Nightblood is supposed to be fairly close to Warbreaker). That means that the Dula chasing Hoid in WoK may not be Galladon. It may be his kid. or maybe even like a great-grandkid (but then again it could be him. Elantrians do have pretty long lives).
  8. *_*- My cookie senses are tingling....
  9. I would like to announce.. I now have a part-time-virtual-no-pay-job! Thank you heart!
  10. Hey look! I found a question that got answered. On twitter, someone asked where Alloy was chronologically. Brandon replied: "So far, the books have been chronological. Alloy of Law is a little out of order, happening before KINGS." about 3 hours ago via TweetDeck in reply to mistlepro EDIT- Another one! Q-Cosmere question. Does Frost make any incognito appearences in any other books other than Dragonsteel? If so Book/chapter? A-He does not appear on screen in any published books, though he is referenced. He has a non-Interference policy. Perhaps this is who Hoid writes the letter to (I haven't read Dragonsteel)?
  11. They are all very delicious. I have a special part in my heart for each one of them.
  12. If I remember right, he gave that list to why Ruin chose her. I think he may have tried to choose Kelsier too. He fits the profile really well too. He's a pretty powerful mistborn, has a seeker sibling, is half-skaa, and he was likely to believe that "only he could save the world." But for some reason, Ruin picked Vin. Doesn't Sazed also say that Ruin picked her for reasons Ruin didn't know? But Preservation chose her too; that's why she picked up the shard.
  13. Helaren? Who's that? Is that one of Shallan's brothers?
  14. I would like to announce that I am applying for the position of bodyguard to help protect cookies. Previous experience includes: Eating cookies Making cookies Being Hoid over at TWG Really liking cookies.
  15. Or maybe it is Teft. Except he got beaten down, hopeless, waiting for the Stormblessed to appear. But now he's writing (or staying in contact with) some organization.
  16. Or maybe her father. Is it just me, or does it seem likely that Shallan killed her father using a shardblade? She mentions holding out her hands, and mentions that she doesn't want to go down that path again, after her father's death.
  17. I am pretty sure the death is Gavilar. He dies for apparently no reason, and he's an extremely important person. There are many questions about his death that need to be answered. Why on Earth is he dead? What happened because of it? Qui Bono? (Who benefits?) Why do it after the treaty's been signed? What is the Darksphere that Gavilar has that Szeth takes?
  18. Except that he refers to the Heralds in the third person. It's "the heralds abandoned us" not "I abandoned them." This person seems to be an observer, and less of a leader. I also don't think that he has to be immortal. I think that he has an accurate representation of the past, and seems to wish for that "golden age" to come again. Maybe it's someone from some secret society like the Keepers.
  19. Oh! an even better idea. His last book- the Way of kings BACKWARDS! He'll call it the Kings of Way, and it will have every sentence exactly opposite, so it ends with "ago years 4000". Seriously, I don't think he will. I think he wants to be able to go into more characters than five.
  20. Didn't I become Hoid? I still might be in fact.... I don't think I ever got impeached. Edit- For those confused, all these titles are from TWG, look here for the discussions. http://www.timewastersguide.com/forum/index.php?topic=7193.0
  21. Do you mean the True Desolation? That's the name the Almighty uses about what's coming, while the Last Desolation seems to be when the Heralds abandoned man.
  22. If you read the back cover, it seems to have been written by a historian. Oh! Random idea. What if it is Shen? What if he remembers everything that goes on, than someday, when he comes alive, writes it all down? Here is the back flap- "I long for the days before the Last Desolation. The age before the Heralds abandoned us and the Knights Radiant turned against us. A time when there was still magic in the world and honor in the hearts of men. The world became ours, and we lost it. Nothing, it appears, is more challenging to the souls of men than victory itself. Or was that victory an illusion all along? Did our enemies realize that the harder they fought, the stronger we resisted? Perhaps they saw that the heat and the hammer only make for a better grade of sword. But ignore the steel long enough, and it will eventually rust away. There are four whom we watch. The first is the surgeon, forced to put aside healing to become a soldier in the most brutal war of our time. The second is the assassin, a murderer who weeps as he kills. The third is the liar, a young woman who wears a scholar's mantle over the heart of a thief. The last is the highprince, a warlord whose eyes have opened to the past as his thirst for battle wanes. The world can change. Surgebinding and Shardwielding can return; the magics of ancient days can become ours again. These four people are key. One of them may redeem us. And one of them will destroy us." It's interesting. This is someone who knows about the times before the Last Desolation, but it is someone who considers himself part of Roshar. He's informed and a native (which seems to eliminate Hoid).
  23. The Consume bit might be a clue. What if Consume is a shard of Roshar? Maybe when it speaks of the three that ruled, but now the broken one rules- maybe that means that we have three shards, Almighty, Cultivation and Consumation, and the "broken one reigns" refers to Odium, who moved in and broke the three of them.
  24. Yeah I agree. A Sliver holds the majority of the Shard, and seems to be able to communicate with others in much the same ways as Shards can.
  25. Question- Who makes the Spheres? Are there mines/forgeries? Are they just found by people? Is there a limited amount? Just something interesting that popped into my head.
