Mid-range Game 11: Paradise Lost
TheMightyLopen replied to twelfthrootoftwo's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I was thinking the opposite actually. Making it so that there's 2 Sori's who have the same Mentor doesn't make a trusted hub at all. It could in theory I suppose, but players don't tend to be that trusting. The only players who know they can trust someone is the Sori, who knows they can trust their Mentor. So, in this case, if Stink and Kynedath are telling the truth and are both Sori's, they don't have any way to confirm that. PK also can't just blindly trust either of them either. Just because they claim to "know" he's a trapper doesn't clear them in his eyes. So that means that out of the 3 players in this situation, only Stink and Kynedath can trust 1 player: PK. But other than that, there's no proof for anyone of them to trust any of the others. So, you're saying you think it's more likely that a Trader picked PK as the one to talk to and try and manipulate by claiming Sori? And he just happened to actually have a Sori friend? That's a pretty big coincidence, imo(and I know you mention coincidences, but you seem to imply you don't think it was a coincidence, meaning what exactly? That both Stink and Kynedath are Traders?). I think it would make more sense for it to have been a GM thing(meaning I think it's more likely the GM's decided to make both Sori's(I don't think there would be that many, so 2 sounds like the right number) have the same Mentor, rather than eliminator stuff).- 493 replies

Mid-range Game 11: Paradise Lost

Well it was only a joke anyways, you don't have to give more hints. Although I haven't figured out the reason, but I haven't really tried. Too tired. I guess I'll remove the vote if you're gonna get all defensive. Ada- 493 replies

Mid-range Game 11: Paradise Lost
TheMightyLopen replied to twelfthrootoftwo's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hey white text people. I haven't ventured into this place for awhile. How's the secrecy been? Whoops, sorry. I should pay better attention. So, seeing as it was by Hidden/Mind Force(or the off-chance that the Traders didn't send in a kill), I'd still say it's probably not the best idea to reveal if you used Mind Force on anyone. Because then, if the Traders didn't attack that person, they'll know that you have that role, as well as the fact that whoever they attacked was also protected by Mind Force/Hidden, and if they hit someone who has the Hidden role, we don't want them to know that, because the Hidden role probably works best when it's hidden. (And no, I'm not just saying that for the joke. Who would ever do such a thing? )- 493 replies

Mid-range Game 11: Paradise Lost
TheMightyLopen replied to twelfthrootoftwo's topic in Sanderson Elimination
PK is practically confirmed anyways, so it's not like we have to kill Stink in order to confirm PK. Also, I think it would probably be best to lynch based on suspicion, rather than lynching to "confirm" someone else. What if the Traders just attacked PK? Sure, we could protect him, but are we just gonna protect him every Cycle? Not a bad idea I suppose(because when the numbers start to get really low, it's helpful to have even one confirmed player), but then it's possible that multiple protection roles will target him, and the Traders would have a much easier time getting their kills to go through on other targets. But there's a lot of other ways for a kill to be blocked other than Mind Force. All of these roles/Aviar can block a kill: Skilled Trapper, Hidden, Death Sight and Mind Force. Though I'm wondering how the kills show up if they're blocked by Skilled Trapper or Death Sight. GM's! Can you tell us how blocked attacks will show up in the write-up, if any do at all? Hidden and Mind Force make players untargetable, while Skilled Trapper and Death Sight let the kill Action go through, but block it(while Skilled Trapper gets their extra life taken away). So as it stands, I think the kill was blocked by either a Hidden trapper or someone who had Mind Force used on them, but I'd rather get confirmation from the GM's(if possible), before suggesting that anyone reveals a role like Mind Force, which could be a big pain to the Traders, and so should stay hidden as best as possible.- 493 replies

Mid-range Game 11: Paradise Lost
TheMightyLopen replied to twelfthrootoftwo's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It would seem that PK is actually the player most likely to be a Trapper. We have STINK claiming to be a Sori and that PK is the guy who he knows is a Trapper, and then there's Kynedath, who claimed to PK in a PM that he was a Sori who knew PK was a Trapper. So in order for PK to be a Trader, STINK and Kynedath would have to be Traders as well(unless one of them is not a Sori, but is a Trapper and just thought PK was good, so they decided to fake claim Sori, but I highly doubt any Trapper in their right mind would try that). It doesn't mean that STINK and Kynedath are both telling the truth though. I was actually thinking that if the eliminators had a PM Aviar, they might try to claim Sori to someone. It's basically like false claiming a Seeker role, because you know who is a trapper already. @Ripple, Okay, I see how you misunderstood my post I think. Kinda a late response, but whatever. Edit: Darn it Clanky. Ninja'd- 493 replies

Mid-range Game 11: Paradise Lost

Current Vote Tally*: Ada (1): Stink {1} Stink (0): Maill {1}, Lopen {1} Water (0): PK {1} Arraenae (0): HS {1} Elkanah (0): Arraenae {1}, Maill {2} SilverDragon (2): Shallan {1}, Water {1} Phatt (3): PK {2}, Arraenae {2}, Maill{3} PK (0): Clanky {1} Maill (2): Luckat {1}, Lopen{2} Kynedath (1): Elby {1} Shallan (2): Clanky {2}, Elkanah{1} Lopen(1): Ripple{1} *stolen from luckat. I'm not sure what your first sentence is referring to. Were you talking to me? What makes you say I was "jumping onto luckat's vote?" Often times multiple players are suspicious of the same player. That's how people get lynched. As for the last part, that doesn't really make much sense. Because someone isn't responding to votes, we shouldn't lynch them? He's been active, he's seen the votes. Heck, he even voted on phatt to save himself, so we know he's paying attention. So why does him not responding allow him to get out of being lynched? Just because it isn't "bringing any discussion?" The truth is, my vote warranted you speaking up about him, so it has caused some small bit of discussion(really pretty small, but I believe all discussion is useful in some way). Actually, the person who is up for the lynch is usually what the discussion is about, not where it comes from. Though there usually is some sort of defense, but in this case, there isn't much of a defense Maill can list, since both of the votes against him are based on gut, rather than any specific post or evidence. Who exactly is the "new player" up for the lynch? I've played with SilverDragon a few times before, so I wouldn't list him as a new player if that's who Maill and Elkanah are talking about. I might just be missing something. I'm just gonna stick with my vote on Maill. I should probably get to sleep now. Just so you guys know, rollover is at 5am for me, so I'm not likely gonna be available much. (Though occasionally I might, I don't know.)- 493 replies

Mid-range Game 11: Paradise Lost
TheMightyLopen replied to twelfthrootoftwo's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I almost want to try it, just to see if you're actually telling the truth. 'Cause that would be really funny. But alas, I'd rather keep ALL of my Aviar. Well, to be honest, I'm not sure how much skill and discussion came into play for that lynch. But still, it wouldn't have happened if all the players were like "I'm just not gonna vote." Absolutely nothing gets done if there's no voting going on. So far, Mailliw, STINK, phattemer, Ripple, Elbereth and Water are the ones I have my eye on. Mailliw- gut. STINK- gut. phattemer- doesn't want to participate in D1 lynching(and by extension, voting). Ripple- gut. Elbereth- gut Water- because I don't really agree with his reasons for voting on SilverDragon. Wouldn't a villager be just as likely to want to protect their Aviar as eliminators? Thank you luckat for the vote tally. I was just gonna do that! I think I'll actually switch my vote over to Mailliw. STINK- 493 replies

Long Game 16: The Empty Throne Part 2: The Catacombs
TheMightyLopen replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Emphasis and numbering, I did. < Yoda impression! 1. Alvron did mention that there may be hidden roles in the game. Also, if Elbereth IS a Compulsive Liar, she won't know it because it's hidden(I don't think she would know anyways. I'll check the rules again to make sure). 2. Well I wouldn't say you come across as trusting very much. With as many times as you've said "if you're an eliminator and did this and this, etc. etc." I didn't exactly get the feeling you trusted me. As for being quieter than "normal," I don't know. I posted a lot in the last few Cycles of LG15 and MR10, and kinda was leading the village in the end of those games, but I had a pretty good amount of information then. I probably should try to do more analyzing than I have, I guess. Not sure what the deal is with whatever Kipper said about me. I did have a PM with him, and it was one of my more active ones, since he was one of the most active players. If I were Kas, I'd tell you that paranoia is a good thing(but I won't tell you that, because in this case, it's me your paranoid of! ). 3. Anytime a post is that long, it's of use. Why would it be meaningless? 4. Thanks! (He's basically a character from the Mistborn series though. I've been reading BoM. )- 529 replies

Fixed), Mailliw{2} SilverDragon(1): Shallan phattemer(2): PK, Arraenae{2}(not sure if this counts-it does now) PK(1): Clanky Edit: GM's! What's the policy for lynches? Mid-range Game 11: Paradise Lost
TheMightyLopen replied to twelfthrootoftwo's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, us Day 1 "lynched by eliminators" need to stick together. I feel your pain! (Even though I was an eliminator....when an eliminator helped lynch me. ) Well, Ada did the same thing in MR10. That seems like a small thing to cross someone off of your suspicions list. Actually, in most of my games, an eliminator has been really close to being lynched, or HAS been lynched on C1. You just gotta believe! I'll drop a vote down on STINK. I have a gut feeling that you're evil.- 493 replies

I got a Note with the result "Elbereth is a Demolitionist(colored red)." (Hidden roles for the win!!!...except it's on the wrong team.) However, the Note was from Mark, so I'm not sure if it's accurate or not. So, yeah. Elbereth. Anything to say? Even if she's not a traitor, and Mark scanned someone else with that result, we know that the traitors have a Demolitionist(unless whoever got scanned is a Compulsive Liar I guess). @phatt, what do you mean I tried to distract from the Kipper situation?- 529 replies

Long Game 16: The Empty Throne Part 2: The Catacombs
TheMightyLopen replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, you're right. Forget what I said earlier. Orlok, I'd still like to hear from you, but I'll be changing my vote to Kipper now. I'll try to lay out my reasons, although they've pretty much been stated before. 1. He claims to have received a Note that said Meta was a traitor Beggar. The Note is supposedly from Mark, a claimed blind Snitch. So, either Kipper was lying about Meta's alignment, and is therefore a traitor, or the Note really did say traitor Beggar on it, which would mean that there IS a traitor Beggar. Meta was a loyal Beggar, Hellscythe was a loyal Beggar, and Kipper is a Beggar. 2. Kipper was scanned by Shallan, a claimed non-blind Snitch(didn't Shallan scan Adavantos correctly? So that's some evidence to back up her claim). The result was "traitor Beggar." So in order for Kipper not to be a traitor, the traitors would have had to either redirect Shallans scan(is it possible to only redirect a part of a Snitches order? Because I'm assuming she meant to send the Note to Phatt, so that part of her scan was unaffected if I'm assuming correctly), or Phatt was lying about the result. Either way, we get a good amount of information from Kippers death. 3. Kippers involvement regarding Meta's gambit(or shenanigan, whatever you want to call it ). Kipper, if you're not a traitor, I'm sorry, but the evidence is stacked against you.- 529 replies

Long Game 16: The Empty Throne Part 2: The Catacombs
TheMightyLopen replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah, are there any Notes that could be shared? I'm not sure why that information would be withheld. Either the result is traitor, and you should reveal it. Or the result is Loyal, and you can just not reveal the role side of it. We do need to decide what to do about Kipper. I feel like either he's a really unlucky villager, he's being framed, or he's just an eliminator. I need to go through his defense and the details of the situation to sort out which of those things I think is most likely. From what evidence there is, I believe Kipper is most likely an eliminator. It would probably be best if we could have more opinions though. Orlok, what do you think of the situation?- 529 replies

Quick Fix Game 12: The Time of Reckoning
TheMightyLopen replied to phattemer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Tyler stood to one side of Perseus, trying to make sure to keep him surrounded with his two Reckoner friends, and keep them all guarded with a Forcefield all at once. It should be 4 of us here. It doesn't feel right somehow, being here like this, at the end of our mission, without Renee. She was the one with the vision. The one with the dream of freeing California from this monster, and how did it repay her? A swift end, without even her friends to defend her or stand by her side. I should have done something then. Anything. But no. I had my orders. We have to take down Perseus "no matter the cost." So be it. If I have to give my own life to kill him, I'll do it. Tyler straightened his back. It's now or never. I can't let Renee's sacrifice be in vain. "Perseus" Tyler said coldly as he slowly approached the throne where Perseus awaited them. "For your vile- nay your monstrous crimes against humanity and the people of California, we've come for a Reckoning. You killed my friend. You've forced even your subjects to fight and kill each other. You Epics disgust me. You cannot be allowed to continue your reign of bloodshed and terror. I will stop you." Tyler thought of his own betrayal. "I was even forced to kill my own sister to save her from herself. The only mercy I could grant her was a swift end. You don't even deserve that. However, since there's still so many more Epics to bring down, we will end you. Right here. Right now." Tyler smiled. "We've been observing you Perseus. You think you kept your weakness safe. You think you protected your thoughts good enough. Well, it's time to find out." Tyler reached into his coat and pulled out a small music player. "What do you think of THIS!!!" He exclaimed as he began to play the record of 1940's jazz he had recorded on the device.- 366 replies

Long Game 16: The Empty Throne Part 2: The Catacombs
TheMightyLopen replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Emphasis mine for all 3 posts Okay, so going back on Kippers posts, we see he firstly says that the note he received says "Meta is an evil Beggar." Then, in his last post, he states that the note told him "Meta is a Blind Beggar." So unless Kipper thinks Blind people are evil , he forgot to mention that part of the information for some reason. Emphasis mine(on both accounts) Here Meta responds to Kippers claim of Meta being an "evil Beggar" rather than a "Blind Beggar" and claims to have a side role, but that he wants to keep it secret. The wording which Meta used makes me believe that Meta didn't see Kippers post. At first I thought that Meta may have been ninja'd by Kipper as they posted fairly close to each other and Meta's post was pretty long, but an hour and a half is kinda stretching it for that to have been the case, and he even made an edit to respond to those who could have potentially ninja'd him. So I think Meta may not have seen Kippers post because of the mod-queue thing for Kipper. So, Meta, could you tell us whether you have the "Blind" side role, or not? (Please don't troll me for asking you a question. I'm sure there's a troll answer in there somewhere just screaming to come out. ) Then there's the fact that Phatt claims to have gotten a note about Ada stating that Ada is a Snitch. Not a Blind Snitch. So if Ada is telling the truth about being a Blind Snitch, and Phatt is telling the truth about his note, then Kipper can't be telling the truth about his note on Meta I don't think(at least not the part about Meta having the "Blind" side role.). Meta: Claiming Beggar with a side role(unknown). Targeted Clanky, who supposedly didn't target anyone. Hellscythe claimed Beggar and claimed to have targeted Meta and saw that Meta targeted Clanky. Kipper: Claiming to have received two Snitch notes. ???- ??? and Meta- "evil Blind Beggar?" Adavantos: Claims Blind Snitch. Phattemer: Claims to have received a Snitch note about Ada. Ada- "loyal Snitch" So, yeah. I'm not sure what all of this means, but it's certainly odd. It would be nice if we got some answers before the Day Turn ends. I don't know how wise lynching Meta, of all people, would be when there's this much doubt in the situation. I was planning on searching, but if I feel like I need to vote, I'll do so instead of searching. (Just because I said that doesn't mean you guys have to force me to vote so that you can search instead of you voting. ) (Also, if you plan on searching, and you put a vote down in thread, you really need to reveal that.)- 529 replies

Quick Fix Game 12: The Time of Reckoning
TheMightyLopen replied to phattemer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Great game Epics! I like how the Reckoners were the "bad guys" in this game(You were all the evil ones though. ). Thanks for running the game Phatt! I had a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to our final battle(well, hopefully it's Perseus' final battle! ) I'll try to get some RP up before the battle happens(just in case we die ).- 366 replies

Quick Fix Game 12: The Time of Reckoning
TheMightyLopen replied to phattemer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, yes, I do have Forcefields. I will think about protecting PK(hey eliminators! IKYKIKYK...... ) @Kipper, The only reason I've "hung back" is because my access to a laptop has been really random(which I use to play SE, because it is SO much easier to look over things on a laptop than on mobile). I tried to analyze things last Cycle, but specifically left Clanky as Neutral, because I was hoping he wouldn't attack me(because with my belief that Clanky was a Reckoner, they had the power to double tap me and kill me even if I was protecting myself). I believed Clanky was a Reckoner because of his Matter Disruption(and my role as Epic Forcefield user, and seeing as Kynedath was an Epic Forcefield user, I believed the Reckoners had a MD, because Elbereth was an Epic MD and Ada was a SK, which isn't a Reckoner, but is certainly dangerous for us Epics. I also had thought that Arraenae's MD had been Gifted to her, which is why I thought that Clanky was the one who started as a Reckoner MD. I'm not sure why Arraenae didn't use her MD much, but I'm starting to think the Reckoners were going for a long con, and they decided to use her invisibility to find out important roles, at which point Arraenae could then begin to use her kill role alongside the Reckoner kill.) I voted based off of roles, and for that I'm very sorry. I'll do some more in depth analysis tomorrow for myself, to try and figure out who the remaining Reckoners are. I'm thinking there may be only 2 more, since Arraenae had so many abilities. I'm really hoping there's only 2, but I suppose it is a possibility that there is 3. I'm still suspicious of BB, but his defense last Cycle seemed to ring true to me. At least enough that I felt I should move my vote to Clanky. I certainly do not like that Steph seems to be focusing on me like this. I'm sorry I haven't been able to block an attack yet, but I don't think that's a reason to kill me(especially now that I have a much higher chance of blocking an attack. Right now, Kamyle(for voting alongside me last Cycle, which I'm now viewing as her trying to get on my good side by agreeing with me. But now, she's voting on me and, while I understand my vote on Clanky was suspicious, seems to be overstating how suspicious it was, and so seems to be trying to instigate a bandwagon on me.), QueenSteph(for constantly going after me, for pretty much no reason.) and any of these BB/PK/Ripple are my suspicions for who the Reckoners are. I don't think Orlok and Kipper are Reckoners, because they were involved in Arraenae's lynch, and her lynch only had a 1 vote gap, which could have easily been changed over to Mail to save her without attracting much suspicion to themselves(since Mail had previously been lynched twice).- 366 replies

Quick Fix Game 12: The Time of Reckoning
TheMightyLopen replied to phattemer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, I'm gonna finish up my player analysis now. I think I'll just do analysis on living players, and reference posts that the dead have done if I feel they're noteworthy/relevant to the living players. About this Cycles results though. So Mail was Calamity and Ada was a Serial Killer........ I really should have noticed that about Ada. It's so clear. I don't see any signatures in the other kills, so obviously something is different with Ada's. I kinda thought something was off about him. I just thought it was due to this being a QF or something, because I thought certain events(namely him being attacked by the Reckoners C1, and the Illusionist trying to get him lynched) pointed to him being an Epic, although rather than him being an Epic, he was not a Reckoner. I thought that those two things went hand in hand this game, but apparently not(I have to agree with the tags here, troll GM ). I never would have guessed that Calamity was in the game though. That totally took me by surprise. Player analysis coming soon! Don't forget to preorder. Edit: Living players analysis: So, yeah, obviously BB is my top suspect right now, with PK(for possible collaberation with BB), Kamyle(possible collaberation with BB and not much reason to trust her) and Elkanah(inactivity/lurking) as my follow up suspicions. I will check the thread before rollover, so if I need to, I can move my vote if I feel like a better suspicion appears or BB's defense dissuades me(assuming he is able to get on to respond).- 366 replies
