  1. While he may have learned something of Hemalurgy it should be noted that Hoid does not use Hemalurgy. Relevant WoB: *Emphasis mine.
  2. My guess would it is just in their nature. The Skaze are splinters of Dominion. It stands to reason that they would fall into an almost hierarchical order.
  3. ... Or a Dropbear.
  4. Dalinar encounters Szeth: Two minutes later...
  5. An impostor!
  6. I blew a tire on 93N yesterday on the way to the Brookline signing and ended up not making it... failure. On a positive note, I finally picked up and started reading Steelheart.
  7. Alas, I did not. I ended up just going home as Cape Cod is about an hour and a half away. Kind of a disappointing night... Oh well, next time.
  8. I blew a tire on 93N on the way there. By the time I got it sorted out it was already 7...
  9. I just finished my reread of Shadows of Self...
  10. The Wheel of Time does take place on Earth. The entire planet has been Terra-formed by the breaking though, so the continental arrangement is completely different. The implication of the cycles of the wheel is that the first age is our current world. Our age ends with the discovery of channeling and the one power. I'm moderately sure there is an interview from around 2002 where Robert Jordan confirmed that Randland is Earth in a different age.
  11. You look pretty badass with an eye patch.
  12. I tend to think she had 2 spikes, One was the Trellium Spike and the other being whatever Power she was currently holding. Otherwise when she removed a spike to switch powers she would cease to be a Kandra and would revert to being a mistwraith...
  13. By the nature of Ruin I doubt Ruin (or the Ruin part of Harmony) could recharge the spike, it simply goes against the net loss principle. Your 2nd point however I would say is quite plausible.
  14. It is special because it is imprinted with Marsh's brain matter... obviously.
  15. There is a WoB from a one of the SoS releases where Brandon confirmed the Hemalurgic decay has an initial large drop off but then decays much much much slower, he basically said that there is a floor to the charge that the spike will just sit at.
  16. Typically I hate this type of "theory" [emphasis on this not even being worthy of being a theory as it is speculation based on nothing but a feeling...] but I couldn't and still can't shake the feeling that Lessie's bones are Mare's bones. Any thoughts on my wild speculation?
  17. Argent, I'll make sure I ask Brandon about this for you. I really like this question.
  18. I am having trouble finding the relevent WoB, but I vaguely remember reading one that said they had no significance other than they were important to Tien and by extension important to Kaladin since they came from Tien.
  19. #WelllookatthatI'mglowing
  20. Brutal, the things we do to see BS eh? I'm driving there from work and then Driving back to Cape Cod, not a terrible trip but still about 2 hours...
  21. And to add to that, It was originally just a function of facebook. It would leave a notification that said so and so poked so and so and showed a poking finger emoji.
  22. So who is going to make it to this?
  23. This thread is incredible, all of the upvotes! After Kaladin challenged Amaram: "Uggghhhh Jail." #Nevertrustlighteyes #theyputmeinabox #whoamIRand?
  24. Yeah, He was quite perceptive regarding Hoid. After seeing the Zahel/Nightblood cameos he ask if Hoid/Wit was the same Hoid as the Storyteller who spoke with Lightsong and Siri. I think he is currently reading Elantris so we will see if he spots him again.
