  1. Expected that I'm surprised cause I've been a little clueless about the Shard over past few months...not one...but TWO new cosmere works...Preservation's wings I think I've just ascended to Shardhood. Kalak's nails, this is too much...I think I need a lie down
  2. Not to quibble, but that is an interesting line as it never mentions anything about how far the blade penetrated or if it his spine at all, just that he was stabbed in the chest. It could be Nale presumed that as Ym hadn't progressed so far, he wouldn't be able to recover...but we shall see as Brandon doesn't like to keep using the back from the dead trope
  3. Could it be possible that the Kandra created an entirely new cell that's specific purpose was to kill themselves? We know they cannot replicate body hair (IIRC?) so there are some things they can't copy (Keratin etc.) but spit balling here. Has era 2 even developed some form of autopsy yet?
  4. Sigh, UK kindle doesn't get it till 28th :/
  5. I don't find myself angry, just bored, as Brandon's ability to encapsulate the reader with his storytelling through the depth and style of his writing, kinda makes it hard for me to read/enjoy a lot of authors
  6. Would a Drab be more susceptible to having their Spiritweb filled with another investiture form? As the lack of Breath would probably resist any others?
  7. I'm planning on asking one of my nerdy friends to go see Deadpool it with me when I see her in NZ, perhaps as a date date but we'll see....
  8. Can anyone recommend a chaos deck, from like innistrad to now? Been interested in playing one but haven't the foggiest how to go about it.
  9. I guess Trell is trying to remind Harmony that he needs to embrace both of his Shards more actively
  10. I'd go with this being the Fabrial system, or a system linked to Cultivation for; I mean this is a basic idea but the way the symbols are, cutting something up or taking a part of something and rearranging the pieces in a different way seems a lot like her M.O
  11. I thought it was officiated via WoB that it took place roughly ~30 years or so after Elantris
  12. it could be possible, that in his quest for last Shard standing that he kept tabs on it in case someone were to find it and use it against him perhaps, if that scenario you mentioned is the case Chaos
  13. That is interesting, but it doesn't explain why he would be scared of Harmony if he had this great and powerful weapon, especially if it was designed to kill/injure Adonalsium, who was a combination of all 16 Shards (the investiture and power of all 16 shards at its disposal ) unless it would require a huge expenditure of Investiture on Odium's part to use. Perhaps alternatively, this weapon was broken up into pieces after Adonalsium's shattering as the threat was no longer present but, with the Shards still active, it would be good to have on hand, in the unlikely scenario that should someone reunite all the Shards....and Odium just so happens to have a piece of it or knows where to find one, which even if broken up, the pieces would still be powerful enough to make another Shard give pause..
  14. IIRC, there is a WoB corroborating number 5 that the magic/Dor doesn't work the same way as it did before but I can't remember the two points it was referencing, whether it was before and after the splinterings or otherwise. I'ma go have a looksee but i think its on Theoryland. The Dor is still the same technically, except i think the way people are Initiated into the system/how the system is actually accessed has changed. I'm having no luck trying to find this WoB, does anyone else know which one i'm thinking of?
  15. it probably does, but it is linked tangentially to the first question although i wasn't the one that brought the sheath question to the surface, that belongs to the Silver in the Cosmere theory starter along with the other theory in the Cosmere novellas section :B Much obliged, although I'm leaning towards the Words atm, given how it could provide evidence/insight on a few things in WaW
  16. Ruin is technically Change/entropy incarnate as Mistborn deals with the whole duality concept about how both ideals/concepts define each other and without one or the other, bad crem happens
  17. if anyone could ask any of these two sets, much appreciated <3 Is there a connection between Nightblood's effects as he kills a person and the Shades on Threnody? What's Nightblood's sheath made of? Or Have the Words of Founding in Era 2 Mistborn ever been transcribed so that they are located in a central or localised space and; Were/are the Words of Founding transcribed into metal or stone at any point between HoA and AoL?
  18. I originally thought this was a possibility (and sort of still do) but there's too many unknowns flying around for me to fully jump aboard. I could jump on the thought that Rust (or perhaps Discord) was a partially melded bit of Ruin and Preservation (this would also suit a well-known/loved cognitive individual) but was more Ruin than Preservation but we still don't quite know what directing a Shard's power, even if temporarily, actually does i.e is Kelsier technically a bit more invested with/marked as more Preservation. It is possible he also gained knowledge of Hemalurgy this way. As i said, there's way too many ifs/buts/possiblies for any of the Trell candidates and any evidence can easily be used to support any of them but I do like your idea ^^
  19. It's tricky because we don't actually know what the actual beliefs of Trellism are, as they're not mentioned specifically. I'm not saying that Saze would change them, only that if someone were to, typically from under any Shard's direction, then it would be easiest to do so whilst they were in paper form, as over time there would no doubt be errors in translation and transcription hence why i'm curious as to whether they were carved in metal at some point, not only as a commemoration for Saze's gift, but to also officiate them. As for who Trell is, I have ideas but am nowhere near certain, although I'm on the it-isn't-Autonomy/Odium train but i understand and can see the logic of other member's theories why it is
  20. I'll pm you
  21. Is there a connection between Nightblood's effects as he kills a person and the Shades on Threnody? What's Nightblood's sheath made of?
  22. Shades' and their multiple states remind me of Warbreaker Spoilers
  23. Seconded.
  24. True. It does raise the question; how would you know if you're a feruchemist? Do we know feruchemists also require snapping?
