  1. If you put two identical pieces of metal on scales and confirmed they weighed the same amount, and then had a Feruchemist fill one of them (let's say to whatever max he/she could, or else for a set period of time like 8 hours), would the one that had a charge in it weigh more?
  2. I’ll look over Arinian more including those posts you mentioned, but to respond to this: no, I don’t think that you necessarily would have. See, too many times, people say “They knew that player was innocent, since they’re an Elim and know everyone’s alignment, and that’s why they were so sure when they were defending them!” And honestly, as a villager, you’d have no real proof that Stick was a villager, but if you were an Elim, you’d know for sure, but you’re smart enough to not go too heavy handed with a defense in order to not draw attention to yourself too much. However, your logic in the vote on Arinian is sound even if I don’t end up agreeing (and I don’t think I do), and you feel sincere for now, so I’ll remove my vote. Sart. Not going to vote on someone else just yet, I haven’t gotten to read enough today yet.

  4. As Lopen pointed out, @Sart‘s accusation of Arinian seemed to actually be pretty short on logic. It seems like a tactic I’ve used as an Elim, picking someone who you can throw suspicion on and finding whatever you can. Sart, you have my vote for now.
  5. You know, I’d take a dim view of that tactic. Orlok has played long enough and has enough integrity not to edit his posts for any major content, even if he realized it was a big mistake. Let’s make sure we’re not accusing people of breaking rules when we’re hunting for suspicion.
  6. If it helps, my vote was entirely gut, and even that was mostly random.
  7. @Orlok Tsubodai, I did briefly get back on, and I think posted again, but our home internet went down so I didn’t have anything other than mobile access to do more reviewing of posts, plus I had to go to bed. At that point I wasn’t less suspicious of Stink than others, even if it was without a specific cause, and I also knew it wasn’t going tip the lynch (turns out I was rioted anyway, so it might not have mattered if I did change my vote, except to benefit analysis), so I just didn’t worry about going back and making a new vote on anyone.
  8. I didn’t go anywhere, I just died and Returned.
  9. Behold, I have Returned!
  10. Actually, it’s a simple explanation: I was on mobile and didn’t want to read through the pages of posts on a small screen to find it. You’ll notice I did go back later, which was once I was on a computer.
  11. I’m going to follow up on my suspicion last cycle of Paranoid King for not eventually changing his clearly spurious poke vote. I don’t have a specific issue with the vote itself, but leaving it the entire cycle is nonsense.
  12. Yeah, that’s why I called him out on it. My home internet is down and I get only this last post via mobile this cycle before I won’t be able to connect again, so I’ll leave my vote as it is. Best of luck to the rest of you and hope you survive the next few hours until I check the thread again.
  13. @Orlok Tsubodai, it’s honestly a random vote. I don’t ever get enough to go on from Stink and he’s usually Elim when I ignore him, so I don’t want to ignore him. I had no legitimate suspicions to put forward, though, despite the plethora of posts this cycle, because so much of it is just as random or is only going to be helpful after we find out an alignment or two. Ecth and Flash were the only bandwagons, and had I been inclined to join one anyway, I’ve already explained why I didn’t like either of those. I may still switch my vote before the end (sorry El!).
  14. Okay, I'm also just gonna say it: @Paranoid King, why haven't you retracted your vote on Flash? I get it, it was a funny poke vote, but since it was for absolutely meaningless reasons, why stick to it? Why not change to someone you actually suspect, or join a bandwagon, or something? Are you hoping Flash will get lynched and then you can laugh off your vote and act like it was just a joke?
  15. @Orlok Tsubodai, @Megasif, I read back through those first posts in question, and I do kinda feel Sif's question was innocuous, so I'm removing my vote on Megasif. I'm not really feeling strongly on the Ecth Lynch, and the accusation on Flash was just absurd to begin with. Also, I'll say that I suspect Ecth's PM could have said Squire, but most likely he was just keeping the flavor of the game. I don't think that post was anything like what people are saying. He might have even copy-pasted from the rules: I'm gonna go with my gut and vote on STINK, mostly because I'm always suspicious of STINK. He smells funny.
  16. Yeah…I almost don't feel a need to even respond to this. Stopping Rae's post from spiraling out of control was the point. I've seen games where people yelled for role claim after role claim and it's just not helpful. I'm pretty much always going to have a dim view of asking people for role claims publicly.
  17. At least no one else will claim honestly. I’ve claimed to be vanilla in games where I had a role before, but was still village, and of course in games where I was an Elim. Role claims are just bad ideas except in particular circumstances for particular players that need to reveal themselves. Also, according to @little wilson‘s spreadsheet, I’ve died to the Elims 57% of the time, though I’m only lynched 15% of the time. I guess that’s a good thing?
  18. All too true. I see your gambit and admire it, though. I'll keep a close eye on you.
  19. Mostly because it causes confusion and chaos, which Elims can thrive on. They can hide more easily when everyone's asserting their alignment and role. Plus, as noted, they usually really want to find out people's roles. I agree that it sounds like Rae probably meant it as harmless fun, but Sif strikes me as suspicious by adding to it.
  20. As usual, the QF shows it’s tendency to gather tons of posts before I even see the thread. Who first asked someone to post their alignment, or posted it without being asked? I couldn’t quite tell the timeline, but that’s pointless for the village and can be helpful to the Elims, so it makes me suspicious. I’ve asked people in PMs before, but only jokingly and never telling them to post it in the thread. My vote will depend on what I can find out about that. Also, I haven’t even opened my role PM so I couldn’t asked the question even if I wanted.
  21. Tizlim sat back and watched the others with a flat expression. They sure are feisty and quite rude.
  22. Tizlim is Thaylen, with his eyebrows swept back and tucked around his ears, then drooping back down almost to his neck. He's otherwise bald, and has a few wrinkles. Well-tanned and calloused from working outside. His eyes are a dark purple.
  23. Just got The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and Shadow Warrior Complete from Steam. Only played a few minutes on The Witcher so far, and haven't even opened Shadow Warrior yet.
  24. So I have this little Serenity keychain (pewter, pretty accurate, I love it), and the other day the rear stabilizer part fell off, the struts under the main engine. I was annoyed and sad, though it's several years old and I knew it wasn't a matter of bad production quality probably. I also still had the part, so I can glue it back on. Then today it hit me just how fitting it was to have pieces falling off of Serenity.
  25. Wow, that's perfect, and it even has designs carved in it like a stamp (though less complex). Yeah, that's what I had wanted to imagine, but it didn't fit with the way it was described to me.
