Because I thought your plan was bad and I had nothing else to go on. I forgot about your roleclaim, though, so Eternum. Not really sure of a lynch target. We know you attacked Flash, but not who attacked Straw. Straw is a good player who’s been around longer than I have, so I know I’m always keeping him in mind, but I don’t see him as someone I’d plan to kill off quickly in most games. Someone disagrees, or else picked randomly or for some as-yet unknown criteria. I got nothing, though. Sorry. Maybe tonight when I get home I’ll try sifting through the threads. I’ve been getting village reads on most of the players in the Forest thread, though, which isn’t helpful.

Nah, that's no fun. Besides, that gets into Mayoring, which just isn't good for anyone. I'll toss a vote against you, Eternum. Also, I'll put myself forward as a candidate for Medium for the Forest, just because it'll be interesting to see someone else challenging for the role. I'll totally do a good job, I promise. Kintas for Medium!

It means we’re not told the rules or roles in play, and basically are just playing blind.

Umm, what do you mean? The votes on PK were there for a long time (I think he was the first person to have a lynch vote on them), and vote tallies were posted several times. This post is just giving me really weird vibes. Also, totally called that PK was village, or at least that the reasoning to lynch him was nuts. No, squirrels, go away! I don't actually have any nuts! Wait…

Can we keep this up and get a huge game? Would be so much fun to have 30+ players.

@Megasif, that’s really not unusual for me. I’d have left it longer and fought a bit harder if I wanted to start a bandwagon.

Can I just say, btw, that it would have been tougher but really cool if there was a way to have these threads only viewable by each group? I.E., the Forest players couldn't see the Court thread, or vice-versa. I know it's not really feasible and probably not worth it, but it would have been awesome.

Yup. Only 4 players with an active vote on them, but only 1 each. Not good to see.

Oh, and since this is a vote, I saw when I was doing the vote tally that I hadn't actually vote for Koru (Doc) as Medium. I meant to in that early post, but I was on mobile and tried using "lightblue" as the color code, and it just didn't do anything. Updating the vote tally and including counts: Medium: Doc (6): PK, Eternum, Straw, Sif, Stick, Flash, Dalinar, Jon Flash (2): Flash, Araris, Sif Lynch: PK (1): Araris, Doc Joe (0): Straw, HH Straw (1): Araris Doc (1): PK Cloud (0): Jon Araris (1): Stick Eternum (1): Jon

Considering "proving" Ysengrin would just be killing someone they said, it'd be a super easy role to fake, though of course the real Ysengrin would either speak up or just kill the pretender. Yeah, I didn't think through that last part… I will likely change my vote, but I want to give it a bit of thought first. That does make sense. It still makes me very wary, but I'll remove my vote from you for now, Noah (Eternum). I think I realized the mistake in my logic now, and it probably would be suicide for anyone to fake claim Ysengrin. I haven't seen a vote tally in a while, so here's one that I think is accurate: Medium: Doc: PK, Eternum, Straw, Sif, Stick, Flash, Dalinar Flash: Flash, Araris, Sif Lynch: PK: Araris, Doc Joe: Straw, HH Straw: Araris Doc: PK Cloud: Jon Araris: Stick Eternum: Jon

That's not uncommon. I'm actually going to vote for Noah (Eternum) (retracting my vote for Rendren (cloud) if I need to), because he's been way too interested in the Medium role and especially what happens if an Elim gets it (like he is reconsidering whether he wants it, knowing an Elim would keep their win con). I know you're new to the games here (is this your second game, or third?), so I can't exactly compare your play to previous games, but something in your posts is sounding like someone already trying to make people suspect others and cause chaos.

The Good News Thread: I'm So Excited! And I Just Can't Hide It!
Jondesu replied to traceria's topic in General Discussion
It's really not too bad on the parking, actually (though certainly a little harder, but I've been driving a Buick Century, which is only a little smaller). We haven't really tested out the gas mileage yet, but it'll be similar to or better than the Santa Fe we were borrowing, most likely. -
The Good News Thread: I'm So Excited! And I Just Can't Hide It!

We finally got a new car, which allowed us to return the one we’ve been borrowing from my sister-in-law for about 2 years (yeah, she’s awesome). It’s an old person car, though. A Mercury Grand Marquis, with the cloth covered roof and the big bench seats. Perfect for 3 kids in car seats across the back, which is what we needed. -
I mostly voted for Doc because I respect him as a player and as someone who works well with other players, which seems a valuable skill for the Medium. I don’t doubt that others could do it fine as well, but since Doc already had some support and I like the way he plays, it was an easy choice. For the lynch today, since we obviously don’t have much information yet (though this discussion should all be quite helpful I think), I’m going to prod @cloudjumper to post. Are you one of the nasty humans, Rendren, trying to destabilize the Lord Coyote’s rule? What do you say to the election of the Medium, and should we lynch those who take the Test and come to the woods?

That has definitely been used in previous games, though, and I wouldn't be shocked if El had decided to include that, at least as an option in case game balancing was needed. Turning a recruit into a role that had been lost could have been a nice option to have.

I have no objections to Koru taking the role of Medium. His chances of making a difference may be Small, but he has a Large heart.

Orlok, Orlok, Orlok. And Stink, Stink, Stink. How did I not guess? Oh yeah, wasn't expecting the Skybreakers to be just two people but with crazy skills. Well done, ya'll, well done. That'll teach us to make assumptions about the size of the Elim team and their capabilities.

Eh, why not. The QF can’t last too much longer anyway, and I’m not in another game now. Kintas will sign up, but fair warning, I know next to nothing about Gunnerkrigg Court, and didn’t find myself able to keep reading very long. Just not my style I guess. I’m sure I’ll manage here though.

There’s over an hour left. I was lynched in the last minutes of a round not long ago, so I’m not just giving up and saying I’ll see ya’ll next cycle. I might if I didn’t think a mislynch here would be really bad, but we don’t have many chances left. And I find it suspicious that your reasoning for thinking Stink is Elim is how sure he sounded about you being village. It doesn’t add up.

Since the Sart lynch apparently isn’t happening, how about one on Lopen? I wasn’t going to do this, but that first post this cycle is really bugging me. He’s attacking Stink for correctly (he claims) knowing Lopen was village? I think maybe Stink was just wrong about you, Lopen, and so was I.

Yeah, Terry Goodkind's books bothered me a bit with how much detail he went into at times too, though it made some of the scenes far more tragic and powerful. And then GoT just ignored all bounds of morality and decency and threw in anything GRRM felt would shock people.

I don't like this bandwagon, and @TheMightyLopen, there's no particular danger of a hammer right at the moment. 5 votes on him, one on Sart still (me), and nothing else. Granted, I can understanding recommending those who haven't voted pick a candidate, but asking me to switch my vote right now just really sets off warning bells, when there's already a long bandwagon. Obviously not all of you voting on Stink are Elims, but it's entirely possible that the whole Elim team just plopped their votes down on the convenient target, or several of them. I've suddenly become a lot more wary of you, Lopen, as well as DA, Winter, Orlok, and Eternum. I would be open to lynching someone other than Sart, but I will not be adding my vote to the Stink bandwagon. If he's fooled me, so be it, but I feel fairly confident that Stink is village.

Sure, unless there's something in the role we don't know about, there's no reason the Truthless couldn't be attempting to get the Elims to vote on them so they can help the village that way. That's somewhat less likely in many cases, since I know when I've been an Elim I tried to avoid voting in a block with even a few of my teammates, but late in the game like this it could be a killer move (heh). I kinda don't think that's what Stink is doing, though. Stink is just being Stink, erratic and random as usual, and I suspect he's village. This is how he always acts.
