  1. I’m almost not even that worried about the Truthless at this point. Lynching the Truthless or lynching another villager is probably not so different in the end result, just the timing. Certainly next cycle or two that will be the case.
  2. One little bit of good(ish). I just resigned. That means I can apply to be rehired at some point, instead of burning the bridge behind me. I won’t get to collect unemployment, but I’m uncertain I would have really gotten anything anyways.
  3. I’ve been denied short and long term disability, but we’re appealing that. No clue if it’ll work out though.
  4. I just got a call from my manager. I have been on medical leave for over a year and a half now, and apparently my company is cited that it is ultimatum time. If I can’t return within a week I think, I no longer have a job. I don’t think I’m ready to return, but I’m debating whether it’s worth possibly having a nervous break down to try.
  5. As an Elim in previous games, I’ve not only initiated suspicion of my teammates at times, I’ve actually lynched them. It’s sound strategy, and at the least it’s best to avoid having any obvious associations in the thread with your fellow Elims. There’s no specific link in the thread between ya’ll, no, but I do feel as though you’re being a little too intentional about the balance between you, Sart, and Mage in terms of suspicion, while Jebus I think has gone somewhat inactive, which is also somewhat common (for 1-2 Elims to be or go inactive), though I’m not sure why. And yeah, I know you’ll be suspicious of me, or claim to be. No surprise there.
  6. Ok, so I want to admit right now that I lied earlier when I said I wasn’t very suspicious of Eternum and thought Yitzi was wrong about them. I wanted to see how Eternum would respond, and who would defend or attack them. I’m thinking now that the Elim team probably includes Sart, Eternum, Mage, and Jebus. I know some of that contradicts some of my list from last cycle, but that’s areas where I’ve changed my mind rather than lying before. I would be perfectly happy lynching any of those four, though I’m more confident of Sart and Eternum.
  7. We’d have already been attacked if Len was Truthless, and the writeup lists him as a New Recruit. Like I suspected, he was trying to keep himself alive, and apparently trying to find some Elims, though I can’t fathom how he thought that would work.
  8. Dang it. This is a dangerous time, as Sart pointed out. I also have to decide who to trust, and I’ve made mistakes at key moments in previous games, so I’m nervous (not that this game depends on me personally, but I could easily be part of a mislynch that ends the game). I think I’m going to decide to trust Yitzi at this point, because of the roleclaim and just his general demeanor. That doesn’t mean I’m trusting his read on Eternum, just that I’m putting him on my trust list more fully for now. That means I think my vote goes to Sart this time. I don’t have much extra to add and I’m still worried this is more groupthink than valid suspicion, but I can’t shake my suspicions.
  9. I didn't say I believed him. I laid out a scenario that would let him fake it with a teammate, in fact, though doing so probably wouldn't be worth it to him.
  10. You could be a Skybreaker Elsecaller, or another Skybreaker could be a Lightweaver. That makes this a good delaying tactic, though it's bad for us whether you're village or not (but necessary if you are a Skybreaker). Ugh.
  11. @Elenion, like I said last cycle, something about the way you were presenting the items in your analysis came across like someone trying to find the most legitimate sounding reason to lynch someone, while perhaps avoiding fingering a fellow Elim who hadn’t drawn suspicion yet. It’s not much, I’m aware, but it’s my best for now. Mind stating again why you’re suspicious of me? I know not voting last cycle (until I took flak for it) was one thing, but I’m not sure what else. As for Orlok, I would caution us against lynching experienced players simply for not having been attacked. This is partly because I hope to be considered part of that group soon, but it also just feels like a very bad precedent if we want good and active players to play. Lynch them for posts or associatations or analysis, sure, even process of elimination, but not for not dying.
  12. We could always vote on you, Mage. I haven't been able to get much of a read on you yet. I'm going to go look through your posts, Winter's (though I remember most of those), and I think Sart, plus look for some of those from the others flying under my radar a bit. For the record, I've got tentatively village reads on both Lopen and Orlok right now, even though I'm as paranoid of them as I am of you and Len. That's an always thing, though, just like I'm always wary of Aman, and nothing specific to this game. Ok, just going down the list of players still alive: 1. Elithanathile: Hard to read, plus I haven't played with them before (I don't think, and if I did, I'm not remember anything specific about their playstyle). Wary, mild Elim vibes. 3. Mage: Wary, has been acting fairly typical, though not as aggressive as my first game with him (when we were both Elims). Leaning mildly village.4. Eternum: Again, a little hard for me to read, but definitely suspicious of them. Would considering lynching. 5. Jebus: First game, has said a few things that would be suspicious of an established player (like claiming "Recruit" specifically, in that color), but seems reasonable for a new player. Neutral read so far. 7. Elenion: Very wary, voted on him last round, albeit without too firm of a suspicion. Would be willing to lynch.8. Orlok: Always cautious, but tentative village read as mentioned.10. Winter Devotion: Haven't played with them before, but I've got a little bit of an Elim vibe from their posts. Admired the Truthless gambit on D1, and most Elims wouldn't do that, but it also could be a good tactic because of that (that gets into IKYK territory, though, which doesn't help). Would consider lynching, but more for information than because I'm sure they're evil.11. Roadwalker: Mild suspicion, but nothing concrete. Probably wouldn't consider lynching this cycle without more evidence.12. Jondesu: Guaranteed village.15. Sami: Has been reading village to me most of the time.16. Stink: Stink 18. Lopen: Reading village for now.19. Darkness: Darkness. Never an easy read, and hasn't done anything alignment indicative at all I don't think.20. Bard: Maybe a slight Elim read, but some posts read more village to me, so I'm saying neutral read for now. 21. Ecthelion: Pretty good village read now, after the whole PM and crypticness debacle. If Ecth was an Elim, no way that discussion would have gone that way, I think. 22. Yitzi: Tentatively cleared simply because I haven't been attacked, but they could just have been content to wait and see if the lynch would take away my extra protection. If I die to the Elims soon, Yitzi may be a good lynch target. 23. Sart: Suspicious, but that may be groupthink. The talk about defending Stick and seeming so certain is sticking (heh) in my mind, especially after rereading the earlier posts a bit more. Would consider lynching.24. Arinian: Leaning village, not seeing anything suspicious so far. Wouldn't consider lynching at this point. My strongest suspicion for now is Len, even though as I pointed out, it's not as firm as I'd like. It's the best I have to go on for now, though.
  13. Eh, can’t say I’m too surprised. @Yitzi2 can confirm that I told him I was an Elsecaller, which is why I’m still alive. I have no more protection from it of course, so I would appreciate not being lynched again. I’ve been awake less than 15 min, so I’m going to wait before I analyze and vote.
  14. I will note that Yitzi and I traded roleclaims via PM and I’m still alive, which speaks for him just a little, but it doesn’t mean a lot I know. He initiated it and I deferred a cycle before agreeing (we exchanged roles C2).
  15. Is it supposed to refer to the people who gave Taravangian his tests every morning to see if he was able to pass laws or not, maybe?
  16. Yeah… kinda knew that might happen. I had good reasons, though. Mostly that I'd just woken up from a too-long nap on a day where I'd already been tired as Braize, and didn't have anything clear enough in my head to want to commit to a vote on anyone (and like I said, no real firm suspicions). I even took a look down the player list to see if anyone has been just inactive or flying under the radar, and while there's some folks not as active as others, everyone's been posting relatively consistently. Honestly, at this point, I'm dropping a vote back on you, Len. Nothing personal, but that last post of yours came across as a target-seeking opportunity for an Elim, similar to things I've done. I know you do that as a villager usually too, but the way it's all organized feels a little off to me. I promise it's not a retaliation vote.
  17. My impression was that Orlion dislikes when worldbuilding is oversold and overemphasized. Sometimes it's about all that's talked about in relation to some books. If not, then yeah, it seems like a weird thing to dislike, but with that clarification, it makes sense to me. Orlion can confirm or deny of course.
  18. Ok… I need to reread Warbreaker with that in mind. I can very much see him in that role, that's awesome!
  19. Sorry to have been absent today. I've read the thread here and there, but today was busy so I didn't sit down and type up a response until now. I wasn't exactly 100% sure PK was Elim, of course, but man, I'm a little surprised he wasn't. Lopen, I'm not clearing you completely, but I think I agree that not many Elim teams would have chosen to do a WGG at this time and with you. I'm going to keep it in mind as a potentially valid approach in the future, simply because it does seem less likely. As for voting today…I can't honestly say I have any valid suspicions left right now, nothing based on anything I can see. I'm neutral on Sart at this point, and no one else is giving me Elim vibes for the moment. There's several players I don't have any hope of getting much of a read on, so maybe I'll have to put a vote on one of them at some point (Orlok, Arin, STINK, at least, never give me any reliable reads in the thread, so I have to rely on scanning roles or other roles/events to reveal them, or else take a change as the number of players begins to shrink). I'm going to take the rare tactic today of abstaining from the vote, at least for the moment. I'll check back on the thread before I go to bed (probably multiple times because I'm a bit neurotic), and if I see something that sways me to one player or another I'll vote, but unless I have a decently strong suspicion come up, I might just stay out altogether today.
  20. LG37 is about to start, and Joe's is slated for at least LG40 unless other GMs pass on their games. Probably before the end of the year.
  21. Wha? I don’t think I like your math. However, I’m falling back on my suspicion of Paranoid King. It’s all about that vote day one sticking with me, and his attitude about it is just setting off little warning bells constantly for me.
  22. Perhaps, but we don’t know for sure, and they’re still interconnected in many ways. This came from a topic about why Nightblood is considered heavy by everyone we see pick him up (though in that case I don’t think the Investiture is doing much, if anything, to affect it’s weight).
  23. Ah, cool, I didn't remember it so it was new information for me.
  24. You learn ever so slightly more if you then click that link to Sela Tales. It was one of the Silver Kingdoms on Roshar along with Alethela, and I think there should be an Oathgate there, wherever it actually is.
