  1. My post number now equals my upvote number. Come on people, I say interesting things sometimes.... right?

  2. Huh. I didn't notice that. Possibly? It's a very viable theory, to me anyway. It could have been a typo, but I'm disinclined to think so in this case. Good catch!
  3. Granted but you can now only type, write, and speak in that squeaky voice. You cannot get a job and starve, eventually dying from computer screen overdose. I wish for my own room in my house.
  4. I really enjoy ice cream.

  5. Hm... actually, that may not be granted. Sharders can be fickle. Your bane is that your boon might never happen. Then again, it might, so hey. I wish to always know which Dasani water bottle is mine.
  6. There's huge change coming to Roshar, and I doubt that it's going to be feasible to try and restrict these "mythical" Radiants by law. Of course, some will try, but I don't think the Vorin countries will be much part of that. (Except for maybe Jah Keved. Who knows what Taravangian is gonna do?) Thus, I don't think a pardon is needed. We'll find out in Oathbringer just what Dalinar has done, and Kaladin has done some stuff too. It's not going to be realistic to convict all these people who are prophesied to save the world (or something). As to Nan... He seems to be limiting himself to obscure proto-Radiants at this point, like Ym and Lift. Shallan's a little more well-known and would probably be harder to kill, especially now that she's realized her powers and actively uses them, while knowing what she does is Surgebinding (at least mostly). Eventually, things may happen and you're right, Nan may eventually see what Shallan has done as grounds for another murder, but right now she's safe. I think. That probably won't happen for a while, but it's a really intuitive thought. Kudos to you!
  7. Granted, but you can no longer deal with big problems like the world ending, and mosquito bites are even worse than before. I wish for a monkey that is not dead or rabid or desiring to hurt me.
  8. Granted, but 1) the pages are inexplicably made of clear glass and written in a language only you can read and 2) you are transported to a Core Possibility that has never heard of Sanderson. That's not really a curse... (Also, have you heard of black midi? There's no way you can get music more complicated than that.) I wish for an infinite amount of good luck that can influence anything and only what I wish it to.
  9. That's okay. Neither do I. They're very annoying. But if you get the opportunity.... Alcatraz is the best JF series/book I have ever read. I plan on maybe getting the audiobooks for our next drive to Disneyland. (Ten hours.) That will be very fun, I am thinking. Good luck getting them! I am a people attractor. We sit down in a relatively deserted area of a restaurant and suddenly it's full. We are alone on the highway and suddenly there's traffic just around us. It must be my charisma.
  10. You just beat the Nightwatcher! Well done. Also: What have you done to humanity, Car'a'carn? (<that's kinda funny)
  11. Uh... a covert operation of jackhammers along the borders? Haha. But more seriously, this article might help. (You might have trouble with Nevada, though, because there's not really a fault line on the Nevada/Utah border.)
  12. When your phone's hotspot is named "AonAre" for unity, but only because there wasn't an aon that meant "connection". Maybe someday I'll change it to Duralumin Ferring or something else more creative. Edit: Duralumin mistings have nothing to do with connection. It's the ferrings that do that. So changed "misting" to "ferring". Oops
  13. Granted... but your Blade is dead and your Plate is eternally full of sand. (Gotta do my part to make your wish come true... have an upvote!) I wish to have a well-constructed, accurate Mistcloak.
  14. Wow. You got more than I did. I'm not sure the Reckoners is actually a Reckoners... Alcatraz vs Evil Librarians came out 2007, and Steelheart 2013. But the Mistborn one was on purpose, I read somewhere. Seriously, though, good job!

It's... almost cute! (The little Snowquisitor has that award already.)
  16. Your boon is also your curse (plus now you have to watch all his public appearances, including the one where he eats a California reaper/bitter gourd salad to get more media hits). I wish for a portal to Roshar.
  17. I'm now a lighteyes! Woohoo! I always knew that. seriously. My eyes are light green.

  18. That sounds like a wonderful idea. See, I don't think the plot needs any more, but the setting needs to answer a few questions. Obliteration, a few questions at the end of Calamity, namely I saw mentioned somewhere (don't know where, sorry (but now that I think about it, it just might have been the acknowledgements of Calamity)) that if he revisited the world it would be as big a change as the one Scadrial went through. That seems like it would fit in. All in all, I think that having a story set in one of the Core Possibilities is precisely the story we need to answer those annoying questions. That may or may not have answers already (I haven't been lurking around there lately.)
  19. Okay. One million dollars in gift cards that can only be spent on rabid, hairless cats. I would like for the future Presidents of the United States to not be chulls. Please.
  20. Once upon a time, there was a skaa girl who went to a ball. She fell in love with a nobleman but once he found out she was skaa (after a long trek because the only thing he had to go on was a shoe) he had her murdered. The end. Moral of the story, skaa: don't pretend to be noble. Noblemen: kill skaa whenever you feel like it.
  21. Granted, but you are transported to the endless, sandy desert with no resources. I wish for the ability to vibrate glass around me at such a frequency that the music playing in my head is broadcast. Edit: I think I was accidentally a page behind. Oops. Edited to reflect the correct post.
  22. When you misread "write sec d in terms of sin d" as "write sec d in terms of Sanderson", then proceed to do just that: S is for Stormlight E is for Elantris C is for Cosmere A is for Awakeners N is for Nalthis T is for Tineye When a teacher asks you to write a metaphor beginning with "life is like..." and you proceed to make up the worst but almost-making-sense one you can. (Life is like an anglerfish who finds he's been at a disco party this whole time. [Just your own light for the longest time until, wow, it's a disco party, and disco parties have a lot of colorful light and people, so you're not alone.]) Plus said teacher said it was brilliant. I highly doubt she's read Reckoners. When somebody says "Brandon said it's ..." (another Brandon) and you think they're talking about Sanderson.
