  1. Whilst I do agree, Hero, that there is a fair chance this could all be coincidence, you also feature on my list of suspects - your 'contribution crusade', whilst a fantastic idea, does seen like something an eliminator would do to seem like a member of the village... This, combined with the lack of another valid lynch suspect leads me to vote Hero And Happy Birthday! Clanky, to colour a post, you use square brackets
  2. Whilst I would like to share such certainty of Hero's guilt, and he does feature on my list of suspicions, I am reluctant to both end discussion this early, and condemn someone without knowing the reasons behind it - would anyone care to tell me? I would assume it is to do with scanning, and the unluckiness the risk of corruption?
  3. Today seems as good a day as any to explain the previous actions of House Tekiel. I am incredibly sorry about the pyramid scheme. It was not meant to cause a wealth loss from each House. Indeed, when I set it up with Wyrm, we had discussed that cashing it would cost me reputation. I had not even considered that other Houses would also suffer for it. I acknowledge that this apology might mean little, but thought I ought to make it anyway. It has come to my attention that many of you might be angry about it. Indeed, I have just escaped an attack on a vast scale, which appears to have been triggered by it. Once more, I offer my most sincere apologies. It was never intentional, and I was as surprised as anyone else. I hope you can all forgive this. Yours, Lord Tekiel
  4. Apologies for lack of RP this generation. What: Establishing a marriage contract with House Queade to bring a son into Tekiel, in exchange for wealth Where: Probably a ministry building? When: G3T4A2 Who: Lord Tekiel, on behalf of Nienna Tekiel
  5. Ok, so it turns out that I will certainly struggle with internet over the next couple of days. Whilst I am still able, I'd like to have my view known on the lynch swing last night. I am of the opinion that such a swing renders far less useful the discussion we had earlier in the day - the information from which only becomes usable to discern who is an eliminator if one is actually lynched. As such, I am slightly suspicious of Hero - I would have though that he'd have known better. Ripple's behaviour is also somewhat erratic - and whilst he can have some slack from it being his first day, his earlier actions as well as joining the bandwagon second are... Interesting. I suppose that an element can be excused for just trying to save himself, but he has certainly found his way onto my watch list.
  6. G3T3A2: What: Construct Bank & Investment Bank in Fadrex Where: Fadrex When: G3T3A2 Who: Lord Tekiel
  7. STINK hasn't been helping dissuade me of his guilt, with his frequent posts diverting attention from active players to inactives. I am therefore resolute. My vote stays on him. I might suffer from a dearth of activity over the next few days - I may well not have internet, but will do my best to get on when I can. Lopen, whilst I understand you might be busy, any preliminary suspicions are more useful the earlier in the cycle you make them - both in terms of giving the one you accuse time to respond, and therefore drawing out potentially more information. Wilson, since you are online, and check this page relatively regularly, any further thoughts on today's posts? Whilst you clearly want to keep your head down, today's events have involved you enough that posting is hardly going to raise your profile, and frankly, the more we can get those with experience to weigh in now, the better. On that note, Alv, and response from Ren?
  8. Did we? The argument for lynching inactives, so far as I am aware, is that it draws people into activity. In this game, that doesn't seem to be a problem - I would support voting for an active, but suspicious individual at this point, rather than an inactive.
  9. Well, STINK, my logic with regard to the point you raise is as follows. In all the games I've played thus far, when I have been an eliminator, the advice to new players has not always covered the argument of day 1 lynches. It is perfectly plausible that as a new player, you entered an argument with an agenda, without the opportunity to first discuss it with your compatriots, and then things spiralled out of hand - you were accused - and without anyone to discuss it with, you jumped onto the only other player with votes. Alvron, I cannot find your question to Ren - unless you are referring to one in a PM. Would it help us to know it?
  10. Apologies for the rushed post - very busy, but ought to throw in my two cents. I'm going to vote for STINK. His earlier attempt at stopping the day one lynch, the likelihood of it being he who asked for a role swap and just general intuition lead me to believe him to be an inexperienced eliminator, making small mistakes without the benefit of a doc during the day time. I may remove this vote later, if I get on and an adequate defence has been mounted, or a better case made for another individual, but for now, I am content with it.
  11. STINK, with regard to trusting Wilson, I think we are all sufficiently wary of her that we are all regarding the night vote as giving no indication of her alignment. With regard to voting for Wilson, I would posit that she is probably one of the worst players to throw under the bus to save oneself, unless you are assured of her guilt. Frankly, the same goes for many of the wildly experienced players. It is often not worth saving yourself if it means that the village might lose an extremely valuable player. What you should be doing, which would be of far more help to the village, is finding someone else who you believe to be suspicious, and highlighting them. This is what drives lynch discussions, and in doing so yields information. Edit: 2-2 Hael! Edit 2: responding to STINK's edit. I have a slight suspicion if you for advocating a strategy that handicaps the village and prevents information gathering, but like Hael, am willing to chalk it up to inexperience unless there appears no one else worthy of suspicion by the end of the day.
  12. STINK, whilst we cannot discount the idea that Wilson is an eliminator, as it is certainly not beyond her talents to intentionally cause suspicion, it is also at least equally likely that the eliminators just wished to sow confusion, or even that villager Brightlord/Ladies decided that she was sufficiently dangerous when evil that she is worth voting for. As such, voting for her on the basis of so little evidence, seems premature to me. Yes, she could be an eliminator. Yes, she is insanely dangerous when she is an eliminator. However, we have no evidence as of yet that she is one, and if she isn't, we are killing one of the players most likely to help us find the eliminators - the most experienced players have seen most of the strategies used before, so will he more likely to pick them up, and are also the ones who typically drive discussion. STINK, whilst you are the most suspicious to me currently, I shall hold of on voting for you for now, as it is perfectly plausible that you are innocent, and yet hold a vastly differing point of view. I will say, though, that if no one else catches my attention before the end of the day, I will be placing my vote on you. Edit: You did indeed Hael! Is that 2-1 in my favour? Edit 2: spelling
  13. STINK, I'm afraid I disagree entirely. We have a single role in the game that can scan players alignment, and they can well become corrupt - rendering the wait for someone else to bring us information useless. The information we glean is from who didn't vote for them, tried to divert the vote, or put the nail in the coffin for individuals. Whilst we don't gain vast amounts of knowledge from the first lynch, those interactions become far more valuable when we do in fact succeed at lynching an eliminator. But if we wait to lynch until we are certain of an alignment, we do not get this wealth of information - which frequently leads to finding other eliminators. For a pertinent example, see LG13 - where I was found as an eliminator due to my interactions with Hero and Ren.
  14. My view on this issue is that whilst I can see why some are worried about lynching an important role, we must take that risk. Without a day one lynch, we are in exactly the same situation on day 2 - no information from who voted for whom, and again only 25% chance to hit an eliminator, yet there will be one less of us. Lynches are what drive discussion, and without discussion, we have little chance of finding the eliminators. Yes, we almost certainly will kill a string of innocents before we can find an eliminator. Once we have succeeded though - we can make serious progress in finding the rest.
  15. Initium The messenger finished speaking. Silence. Thick silence. Painful silence. The silence of anticipation. The Silence of Dread. A muted horror permeated the chamber. The messenger shook. Surely the Wrath of Tekiel must fall upon him? Those eyes, the icy, deep, blue eyes turned their gaze upon him. 'Guards' The clear, authoritative voice cut the silence like a scalpel. The messenger's heart stopped in his chest, his brain calculating the moments left in his life. 'Guards' Gods above, he wished he hadn't left without making up to his wife. 'Guards, get this man a drink. Messenger, I am grateful for your service.' Lord Tekiel turned away, ignoring the protestations of thanks. He exuded an aura of calm, collected grace. At times like this, it threatened to crack. Inside, he shook with rage. How dare they? How dare they attack HIS Skaa. They may not be important, but they still belonged to Tekiel, and an attack on them was a direct affront on his House. And then - the worse news. The attackers had posed as his Mistborn. His blood boiled at the temerity of those who were responsible. The perpetrators might have succeeded once, but they would not do so a second time. They would be revealed, and would suffer greatly for the wrongs committed. He would send men to each village, to reassure the Skaa, and to raise the alarm in the event of a repetition of the attacks. The logistics thought through, Lord Tekiel began to focus on revenge. It may not be swift, but he was adamant that retribution would come to any who tried to make House Tekiel look like fools. What: Establish a rapid response system to cover Fadrex and the surrounding Skaa villages Where: Fadrex and it's surrounding villages When: G3T2A1 Who: The Tekiel Military
  16. No Wyrm, I did not say that. I meant that you appear to be the most guilty to me, having read your posts. Further, the manner in which you have directed this game, yet successfully avoided actually lynching any eliminators strikes me as extremely odd. I'm addition to this, we must include your early attempt to prevent meta's plan, conveniently going for an early lynch on one of the only players with enough experience to call you out on your plan to control this thread. Not only this, but we must consider GM balancing; with Meta, and I believe Alvron, dead, and both villagers, according to convention, at least one of the very experienced players should be an eliminator - in this case pointing once again, to you. The asking to lynch you regardless of people suspicions was partly because your control over this thread is monumental, and people will have some reluctance to lynch you as a result. I was attempting to reassure the waverers by pointing out that in the very worst case scenario, we at least discover that what you've been saying has been well intentioned, and thus can look at your plentiful suspicions without having to balance them against the (in my mind likely) event of you being an eliminator yourself Further, tying the vote only helps the eliminators - by giving them a kill and us no information - allow yourself to die, if innocent, and gain a vast deal of information both about those who have tried to lynch you, and safety in assessing your suspicions.
  17. I'm going to vote for Wyrm this cycle, having read the whole game through. He has been directing the village successfully cycle after cycle to lynch innocents, and dominating and controlling discussion - indeed, I suspect that the tactic being used by the entire eliminator team is that of controlling the discussion entirely. Regardless of whether or not you agree with me on Wyrm's guilt, the level of onformation we would gain from his death is worth the loss, in my argument, allowing us to go through and analyse his posts, and trust him if innocent, and if not, at the very least his activity has given us plenty of material to disseminate.
  18. Wyrm, I've just finished a week of work experience, and have been trying to show a good work ethic by not using my phone or the forums whilst at work. I promise, I will get back to you! Id taken the extended day to give me a bit if peace and a respite to look through properly before voting, but will put a preliminary vote on Vauhsoj for his most recent post, which strikes me as off... And his saying he'll be out of town seems a pretty good attempt to try to gain a period of non suspicion. That just from this post - I'll probably (possibly) change it when I've caught up properly
  19. I'm going to have to be horrendously boring this turn, but: What: Trying for an heir Where: Keep Tekiel When: G3T1A3 Who: Lord Tekiel Why: To ensure the longevity of House Tekiel
  20. I'm sorry for my inactivity - I was somewhat occupied trying (unsuccesfully) to not be lynched in LG13. I need to read through the whole thread before voting for someone though, as I'm a bit out of touch
  21. Ok, for the reason that simply I do not want to be lynched, as I am far more convinced of my own innocence, and usefulness to the village, than I am of Clanky, I am going to retract my vote from Joe and put it on Clanky. However, I maintain Joe is more suspicious than clanky, and would rather not be forced into doing this.
  22. Thanks for responding. On the issue of voting for Leif, I did not feel personally a larger suspicion of one of the other players to act upon my advice - I was concerned though that others with valid suspicions might not air them. It was, if you will, an attempt to get 'the best of both worlds' - to create discussion and consider possibilities, but also to vote for the one I deemed to be the most suspicious. I presume you are referring to the trying to encourage discussion not just on the four when you talk of doing the same as our eliminators? I would put to you that it is entirely possible for the same action to occur from differing motivations: both hero and Ren tried to move discussion because they were eliminators, and Ren was under threat of lynching - my motivation, which led to the same action was due to a differing motivation - that of concern that we not tunnel in and ignore other possibilities. On the commending Ren, I would argue the two circumstances to be rather different. Leift' post came after an unfortunate occurrence - and did not contain anything to add to the discussion. I would suggest there is a difference between commiserating following the death, and congratulating someone for finding not one, but two eliminators. My point following that was intended to provoke discussion of the Meta - how teams at normally balanced - if we did indeed decide that the eliminators would not contain a large number of experienced players, at a stroke we could narrow down our suspect list - I am unfamiliar with Aonar's criteria, but was curious as to whether anyone else knew. On that last point, I indeed voted after another player - partly because my time zone means the cycle has been going on for a while before I can respond, and partly because I had no greater suspicions - do you not agree that it would be unusual for me to vote for someone I think is more likely a villager simply because the individual I suspect has a vote? We're we to follow that further, we would never get a lynch..
