Do we know how Szeth was able to summon the honorblade? Like what the process is? Also do we know if you can do this with multiple honorblades? I guessing maybe because Amaram was able to do it with two dead blades and we’ve seen the honorblade/live shardblade but not sure if multiple honorblades are a possibility and part of me thinks there may have been a safe guard in place to prevent this otherwise why not just give the hearlads all the surges from one honorblade. That puts the upward limit of 3 honorblades one each hand and one summonable but not summoned if this is the case.

Part 3 was the slowest to me although the end is good. Some people thought part 4 was slowest I didn’t think that. Part 5 is full throttle all the way through.

How far are you into it?

The audio and visual of this WoB is hilarious. Brandon just kinda throws it out there. I know it was not universally loved but man I really liked Sixth of Dusk and this has me craving another story from there. Brandon said “big asterisk” so I think it only makes sense this was a splinter left behind.

That’s kinda the one thing audiobooks have over reading when you have a good narrator. First time around I usually half read half listen. I’ve noticed that on big or emotional moments that I previously read and then listen to later they seem more impact hearing them.

Maybe a Thaylen can hold one with their eyebrows.

The first question answered below. On the second it seems like he was the only one to join his own order so he would be our only source but I am guessing this took place after the last desolation but that is pure speculation.

The new Arcanum is absolutely awesome thanks for all those that have spent so much time working on it! One request if I may. Is there anyway to add a sort feature when searching a tag? For instance sort by date? It would be helpful to be able to list WoB by most recent when searching a particular topic.

Depends on how thick the sheath is. If it is like 1/4" plate thickness it would still be impossible to cut through it with a steel sword. Sure it could mar and scratch it but cutting all the way through would be impossible by swinging a steel sword I'd think.

Oh man all this talk about something bad happening at the wedding gives me flashbacks of the Red Wedding.

I believe around 55ish the first flashback was 34 years ago and assuming he was around 20 that’s mid fifties. Edit: From the first flashback looks like he was maybe 19-20 Edit again ok 54 I was close though without the use of the fancy timeline excel sheet.

Yeah I was sad when we didn’t see Wit and Jasnah traveling together. Hoping we get to see this at some point.

Yeah but it didn’t seem like he knew his father. Had they even meet before this? I can’t remember. He will remember the event for sure but not sure how damaging that will be to him without someone else providing more context.

I'm just glad we got real dead people of significance in this book. I know that sounds horrible but I did not want to see another important character get killed but not really. Heck I didn't even believe Sadeas was really dead until we saw his cold dead body in OB. I liked Elhokar's arc a lot and this book was the only time I cared at all for him as a character at all. It was tragic yet fitting and represented to me what happens when you wait to long for to follow the path of redemption. Wait until Adolin gets to tell lil Gav his dad spent his last breath protecting him.

I only barely got through the first book and would have to agree. It is rare that I give up on a series after one book but this one I did. Oh man cant wait for Iron Gold also! I feel like I need to re-read that series or at least Morning Star. Great series.
