retconning Darwin is impossible at this point I think- too many posts have been made about it. But Perth would be perfectly doable.

yeah, although we nerfed that in some way not sure he exists in that form still though, Mister dropped out. We can always retcon his powers and reform them, without contradicting the one or two posts he is already in.

[Calamity Spoilers] Calamity's Consequences
Blackhoof replied to TwiLyghtSansSparkles's topic in Reckoners RPG
Also good points..... They aren't a part of the person, just a temporary burst of limited power. I'm thinking assumers probably couldn't take motivator powers either- they'd need to take from the original Epic. And they aren't affected by the Epic's 'ownership' of the powers either. Was Larcener unique in that he couldn't take 'owned' powers or do you think no Assumer could take a power that was 'owned'? I guess he is unique since he is just Calamity but still. EDIT: On the subject of using canon characters now, we can use Night's Sorrow now if we wish! Brandon after all confirmed that Night's Sorrow was responsible for Oregon's destruction, so perhaps we could work that in somehow. Obviously we aren't sticking to canon perfectly, but if we can work her in that would be fun. What can she do? How did she destroy oregon? Why is she the Epic everyone names up there in terms of powerful Epics?- 210 replies

I'll be honest, conversion epics are a headache i think we should not introduce any more. Considering how op they considered Obliteration, and he could only do one energy type, full on converters should probably not even exist. So maybe think of a different Epic powerset? Or limit it to one sort of energy?

exactly. Consider each power individually. Glass control: a useful power, already you can slaughter crowds with little shards, and form shields if you thicken it enough. Control lightning: very useful and strong power on its own. Give objects kinetic energy: also powerful, and very versatile. With a touch you can send anything flying at high speeds at an enemy. Make objects conductive: not very powerful on its own of course, but useful in conjunction with other powers. Combine them all together and you can do a LOT more than just create storms of electrified glass. An incredibly diverse and versatile power set- when nearly all of those powers individually would make a strong or interesting Epic.

Nice but it is unnecessary to have so many powers- you only want them to create that storm if glass attack. How about have his ONE power BE the creation of a storm of electrified glass? Cause as it stands, he has four separate, individually powerful abilities. That makes him realllly powerful. But with just one power, hw is much more balanced and interesting.

Cause in the events of the books he is at Babilar and has been since Calamity. At no point was he ever in Oregon.

I think it would be better for the RP (as it is pretty crowded already) for Stormaggedon to mostly be working in an adjacent state, and just have some of her agents in Oregon for various reasons. Such as Ragnarok recruiting and such. Cause it sounds like you are building up to an apocalyptic invasion of some sort and I'm not sure we can fit that in at the moment aha That said, I suppose in limited amounts and with an Epic to charge them, some energy weapons like what Enforcement has would work fine. I guess whoever makes Enforcement's weapons can make enough fro other factions across the FSA too. Also EVERYONE, you know what I realised? Once we decide that we no longer need to be cautious about Calamity spoilers, we can use canon Epics as much as we like! Nothing further can contradict what we do!

Wiper's eagerness to hunt him down implies that she was confident (or certain) that her power could negate his Prime Invincibilities.

If Tavi got her powers at the same time as her father, she would have been a three-year old Epic. That seems very unlikely to me. It is indeed possible that once Invocation/Calamity leaves, the power they are using becomes a more generic force that gifts people their powers. Maybe the aliens are not inherently powerful, they just get given a force for this task, and they are supposed to leave the force behind with them to work its power.
-
I assume it was something along those lines. Daddy probably got his powers that very day, when Deathpoint attacked.
-
Well, given how certain Wiper is that she can defeat Larcener (before dying) it is likely that her power could have nullified some (if not all) Prime Invincibilities. So we have a precedent, so I wouldn't discount the likelihood of some Assumers being able to steal passive abilities like that. Larcener certainly did, and it wasn't considered strange.

Well he isn't strong enough for Astoria. Perhaps Corvallis, if Salem or the wastelands aren't your style?

Winterspell watched the young man rise into the air and fly towards the city. "Well," The Ice King muttered to himself. "I hope Mary doesn't annoy me if he breaks something." He turned back towards his keep, freezing the river as he walked. "Fish, you got that Epic's body?" Fish surfaced, struggling with the heavy, muscled Epic. "Uh, sort of sir. The going is a bit slow though." Labyrinth opened up a small portal next to Winterspell's head, anticipating potential orders. Winterspell nodded towards the portal. "Labyrinth, open a larger portal, I am lifting a body through." The portal Epic obliged, and with a gesture streams of water lifted the strength Epic out of Fish's arms and through the waiting gateway. It wasn't long ago since he had heard that certain groups paid high prices for an Epic's mitochondrial DNA. He hadn't had a chance to harvest any without the other Astorian factions knowing, but this useless brute.... a perfect opportunity. Dragoon would likely be very interested in something like this.

funnily enough, if the drawings he does are designed to mock her (like giving her a mustache) that partially triggers her weakness and the poster loses its power.

I'll have a try, I think Iconoclast ripped his clawed talon out of a screaming guard, listening to an old song with earbuds. I'm a barbie girl, in a barbie world! Slashes someone across the face. Life in plastic, its fantastic! Breaks someone's neck, twisting it with a brutal twinge of his large muscles. You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere! Imagination, life is your creation! Iconoclast grabbed a soldier by the scruff of the neck, pulling him within inches of his face. He smiled. "Come on barbie, lets go party!" Uh uh oh yeah! "Come on barbie, let's go party!" The guard's eyes, and then brain, were impaled with twin claws. Turning to his phone, he raised it to his face. "I just wanted to say thank you for this mobile, sis! It makes my work so much more entertaining!" He laughed, alone in a room of dead bodies. From the other end, came the reply of Doctor Funtimes. "No problem Ricky! I am so happy we found each other! I didn't even know you EXISTED! What do you do for a jobby-wob by the way?" The mad Epic smiled, teeth glinting. "Oh.... Nothing important. I'm just a... gardener." "Oh, so you plant FLOWERS!? I LOOOOVE FLOWERS!" "Well mainly..." He looked down at the eyeless, disembodied head he held in his hand. "I exterminate weeds." Fin
