Yeah it just sort if clicked with me too how powerful he could be. I mean, my own character Iconoclast can build an army too, but he needs to capture people first, and none of them can be armed. Amd maybe make it one minute to make a new minion. That way it isn't too hard for him to retreat and make more if his minions die, but he can't just sit back and endlessly zerg rush his enemies to death.

I think 100 minions is way too high. Considering how easy it is to make more from a mere look at another person, he has an inexhaustible, invincible army that can overwhelm anyone eventually. Even some high epics could be overrun and trapped under a pile of bodies. I think he should be weakened- maybe a combination of making it harder for him to make minions, and lowering his limit to something like 20-40. That way, he can have his cannon fodder army, but he cannot too easily keep replacing them as they die. What does everyone else think? This is just my 2c

Well it is nothing like Mitosis, so I would be more ok with that. How many copies can he make? are the copies identical to their originals personality wise or are they slaves to him? are they still as intelligent as their originals as well?

Yeah that sounds super interesting From what I have heard and what we've discussed, vanillas get to do pretty much whatever they like in Astoria. The Financier provides supplies for everyone, but gangs tend to control and vie for power in the city itself. Lucentia is a hands-off ruler.

It isn't necessarily the amount of weapons he has access to, just the simple idea that he is a master at all/most of them. As Voidus said, being a capital M Master is not necessary. simply being proficient with a wide variety of weapons, and perhaps a master at his one chosen one, would be more than enough to guarantee his survival in fights with other Epics. We do want you to play this character, there is no need to put him aside You have obviously devoted a lot of time to him

In Queensland? No nothing was really done with Queensland the worldbuilding started right after Epics began appearing, mostly. I don't think there are any posts referring to pre-Epic events.

Increase the age he manifested at, to make it more realistic that he is proficient at weapons. So, instead of 17 maybe hr manifested at 27. Remember Epics age more slowly, so even though he is 35 or so now, he has the physique of an even younger man. and to be fair, considering he can make a portal and shank someone in the neck or the heart instantly, with little warning, and with almost no way to dodge or block it, it is almost irrelevant HOW skilled he is with his weapons. He can beat any Epic without some sort of PI or defensive power easily. So he doesn't need to be a master to defend himself if he gets into fights, even with Epics.

I'm worried that introducing more characters like this will just compound our problems. We have a whole lot of characters, a gigantic mess of plotlines, and not much happening with any of them. So many characters have received one or two posts and then... nothing. On the other hand, perhaps I am wrong.... perhaps many new characters will allow us to replace the old ones in plot relevance while they fade into the background, and keep action happening. What are your thoughts?

Winterspell approached the churning water, seeing a young teenager, wreathed in red energy, holding someone under the surface. He watched, bemused, as the Epic slowly drowned his struggling adversary. A small portal opened up next to his head, and the Tag spoke through it. "Hmm.... this kid's a strong one! Telekinesis.. very, very strong telekinesis. Emotional manipulation, and some form of limited hydrokinesis. Be careful boss." "Don't worry men, I will be. Fish, you there?" "Yes, sir!" "Excellent. Dive down here and give me a good view from underwater. Stay submerged." "Sir, yes, sir!" Winterspell waited as the Epic continued effortlessly drowning his foe, completely absorbed in the fight, eyes distant. The King of Icesteel Keep coughed into his hand. "Ahem, mind if I interrupt? I do not appreciate disturbances to my morning." With a gesture, he froze the water around pair, and lifted up the struggling one. The muscular man gasped for air, throwing up water. "Now," Winterspell continued "I would request that you both take your disagreement elsewhere. The north side of the river should do nicely. But you must leave my territory, immediately."

I'm not sure about this cloning Epic. His powers sound basically the same as Mitosis', who was, after all, stated as having a unique power.

Winterspell was finishing off the last of his breakfast when suddenly he heard a loud splash. A gigantic one, as if a bridge had fallen into the river further downstream. "What on earth..." A quick glance out the window confirmed that yes, indeed, a gigantic geyser of water was rising out of the river. Winterspell and Lightwrought looked at each other, raised their eyebrows and walked out onto the balcony. The massive column of water finally fell back down, crashing thunderously back onto whatever caused it. "Well..." Lightwrought said finally. "That certainly makes for an interesting morning." Winterspell chuckled. "Indeed! Well, I might as well go myself to investigate. Send for Fish, Tag and Labyrinth to follow. I want to know exactly what sort of Epics have disturbed our breakfast." Without another word, Winterspell lifted himself into the air on twin tentacles of water, and gently lowered himself to the river below. But as his feet touched the gently flowing water, patches of ice formed beneath them. He dismissed the tentacles, and stood firm and safe on the surface of the river. He took another step towards the disturbance, ice supporting him with a thought. He continued at a sedate pace, leaving a trail of ice behind him, and it wasn't long before he reached the place where... something had crashed into the water. And it had better be friendly.

Well id suggest just porting it to the other side of him, but that could hurt people and is thus not what you want

bold: his weakness is swords/knives, but he is a swordsman? I don't quite think that works. He is literally holding the thing that trigger his fear. He is carrying his weakness around with him at all times. That is not a thing that an Epic would really do, ever. My suggestion, since his sword-wielding is awesome and all, just change his weakness. Its funny how similar this Epic is to one of my Wastelands Epics- Warplock. Great minds think alike, eh? As to the location, I'm not sure. He sounds tough enough to survive in Astoria, and thus any other city.

Exactly! and you can always do a single scene for the Epic- a massacre, a fight with another Epic, etc, and then leave it there.
