  1. Changed my Minecraft name to Hoid. I'm surprised it wasn't taken!

    1. Slowswift

      Slowswift

I was just changing mine and was amused that names like "Kaladin" had been taken. I did manage to get a Stormlight-related name, though.

  2. Application Accepted.
  3. Personally, I believe that it would Compound the Spike's power. Meanwhile, I believe that Spiking someone with a Metalmind would deliver whatever is stored in the Metalmind to the Spike recipient, but with serious Decay (equivlant to the power gained by Compounding). EDIT - Say, I should move that to a separate post!
  4. The thing, though, is that obviously the amount of power that you compound can't exceed Preservation's power..
  5. "I recommend that we strike first. Why not attack the Parshendi on our own terms (In a separate thread)?" suggested Maleril. "We could attack them at the Shattered Plains; the Dark Alley would be glad to help."
  6. It can be solved if Preservation lets you burn the mists…
  7. "No, thank you, Milady," Maleril replied, getting to his feet.
  8. "Yes, I'm all right," Maleril answered. "Why can't Queen Elsa know about Compounding?" Maleril whispered so that only Winter could hear.
  9. Maleril snuck down to the kitchen to eat a large slice of the delicious, albeit poisoned, cake. He barely managed to stay conscious; he obviously hadn't used a large enough spike before burning the pewter. EDIT - Accidentally said "spike" instead of "slice"
  10. "Queen Elsa, you should check for poison first; who knows what the Parshendi have planned next?"
  11. I, on behalf of the Dark Alley, would proudly like to present the latest development in Hemalurgic science: the QuadruSpike! The Quadruspike is an easy way to transfer Feruchemical charges to Spikees. The Quadruspike utilizes both Feruchemy and Hemalurgy. It consists of four parts: the main Metalmind containing the Feruchemical charge to be transferred, the Hemalurgic component containing the appropriate Feruchemical ability for the Metalmind, the Aluminum Metalmind containing the identity necessary for the recipient to access the main Metalmind, and the Duralumin Hemalurgic component containing the Feruchemical Aluminum.
  12. Thank you so much! It sounds much better!
  13. Thanks! And yes, your guess about the name change was right. I started with Alethkar Alight and changed it to Kholin Alight.
  14. I agree with your comment on needing better sounds. Sibelius really needs some work on that… So if you'd like to generate a better sound file, please do! Here's a link to the Sibelius file.
  15. Hi! Can someone please explain to me how this whole "Question _" thing works? (I couldn't find it in the Rules and Etiquette or Free-form Role Playing post)
  16. Sorry, that might have sounded like a stupid question since its not my first game, but looking at the goals I noticed that it says Twinborn: This village is a wonderful place. You must save it from the forces of evil. Win condition: kill all of the Spiked. Spiked: Those twinborn elitists think that all the power belongs to them by divine right. Kill them so you can return to the Final Empire, where hemalurgists are probably accepted for the forward-thinking individuals they are. Win condition: kill all of the Twinborn. Isn't the Eliminator win condition usually to outnumber the Village?
  17. Just out of curiosity, does anyone else on this forum read books by Frances Hardinge?
  18. "You're welcome," replied Lady Eris, waking Maleril. They took charge of the nearest 5 assassins, leading them down to the dungeon.
  19. Lady Eris EsNaan rushed into the room. She surveyed the scene, before looking down to see Maleril on the floor. However, she had heard Redbird's announcement, so she ignored him and joined the search. Compounding Chromium, she looked in several seemingly random places; hopefully, her luck would help her to find any hidden enemies. While she didn't find any assassins, Eris did find a single bead of Lerasium. She quickly fed it to the grumpy walrus in the corner.
  20. Maleril suddenly understood. The assassins' Aluminum weapons were not just for protection against Allomancers; they were Hemalurgic spikes, just like the ones that he had used on the walrus! "Winter!" he yelled, "the Parshendi are trying to steel Queen Elsa's Identity! She will needed to be guarded at all ti-- The Aluminum blowdart took him in the arm, the powerful sedatives knocking him out in a matter of seconds. He last conscious sight was that of the once-hidden Parshendi assassin making his escape.
