You can only push away from your center of gravity, so without some cushioning I'd think you need to hold your arms out to avoid the blade being forced against the mechanism in the wrong direction with obvious clanking sounds. Which makes the setup useless on Roshar because everyone assumes a shardblade summon and runs.

[DISPROVED] Random Speculation: The Plague in the Purelake

Also kind of explains why has been no mention of medically trained professionals that do things other than surgery. -
Well I recall Lift saying that earlier on in their relationship Wyndle basically never spoke (she seems to miss those days lol), so it seems he wasn't entirely functional either.

Won't Mars internet have, like, massive lag? I think it's just some reference to Prometheus or whatever his name is. Could've sworn it was a thing. -
They kind of have been coming across a ton of reasons to postpone reading that storming report they wrote on their discovery. They ought to bring it up sometime.

Damnation language doesn't have vowel stress that makes sense I guess.

I do believe we are set for scenes in Braize/Damnation somewhere down the line, yes? Now I wonder what the Tranquiline Halls were.

Even if someone else has this hypothetical aluminiummind I don't think it can be tapped.

Ah right. Heavier things resist change in velocity more. I think it's clicking in my mind now. Thanks to Moogle and a pack of cola.

I like how the spren treat Odium like Voldemort to be honest.

It seems implied that even Returned can run on stormlight, so really just how interchangeable is this stuff? Allomancers can burn Atium too, which is also the incorrect power source.

He does accidentally drain his clothing during fights on occasion.

What if he has the power to hurt invincible Epics? Slayer and all. But honestly it would suck unless he stays the underdog that relies on quick thinking and prodigious amounts of improvising to win. It's what the series is about, he's the guy that kills people with superpowers.

I've always thought Damnation didn't work right when not used as a single word phrase. Zahel was right, this Damnation language needs good idioms. Makes me eat the wrong flower it does. David's father was right all along! Sure, it's overcoming fear that did the trick, but the power of love is why she succeeded, so it can't be dismissed. The hero did come, she just needed someone to help her along.
-
Considering what forum we're on, I'd like to see an Epic that can take a stick and make it become fire. If we're going by Steelslayer though, the power would definitely be of the destruction variety that can top Steelheart and Prof.

Well it happens to savants. Probably happens to Compounders. Feruchemy cannot otherwise be continuously fueled so it's probably not an often observed phenomenon prior to the birth of Twinborn. Wonder what happens if you get your body used to continuous storing. Wax doesn't seem to show any irregularities, but then again he almost never moves at full weight. I wonder. With that said, I'll just go with steel. Mobility is fun, and I have little reason to sustain it continuously unlike gold. Also cheaper. I'll just compound myself a buffer then remain normal until I need it. Keep myself stable. Moving too fast all the time causes all kinds of trouble, so I'll just tap once in a while and compound whenever I feel like I'm running low.

I was thinking in terms of final displacement, since we were all thinking of ways to abuse the weight shifts lately. If you fall slower but also move less sideways would there even be a difference? . . . wait, you weren't accelerating horizontally anyway, were you? Why does the weight matter in that direction when air resistance is the only force? You wouldn't think mass has a direct effect on air resistance... I should go back and fish out the textbook now.

Granted. You now live on the moon. I wish... my friend would have less trouble holding onto his money? -
Well has anyone actually tried infusing Stormfather into a sphere before? Yeah Nergaoul might not fit. Perhaps the sphere is just something he is drawn to, yes. Wonder where Moelach is going though...

Well if we fight under highstorm conditions it might work . . . though the lashing would be slightly inaccurate. I'm not from one of those countries where Star Wars had nearly as much cultural impact as it appears to have in America and wherever else, so I don't really feel the need to ignore a particular episode, prequel or not. It's just been a while since I've watched them really. I still have a general idea what jedi can do, but the details surrounding their limits have since gotten fuzzy.

Yeah, when you think about it, lacking pain would mean Miles would not know when he is overexerting himself, and may have gotten used to moving in such a manner. Stopping pewter drag all at once would kill you instantly because it doesn't actually heal you, but gold compounder "dragging" long enough might make his body and mind start to think it is tougher than it actually is. If he stops and is a lot weaker than he thought he was he might accidentally kill himself, and if you can actually attain savanthood by compounding it would be even worse. His immortality would be his only lifeline without spending significant effort recovering.
-
How many lashings to a given projectile would it take to make it too fast to react to? Lash up a storm of objects to overwhelm them, fall in as fast as you can, then morph the Blade when they least expect it to take out their arms maybe?

Well, your falling speed is still the same because gravity just works that way. Your horizontal velocity wouldn't really change either because you are not exerting force horizontally in midair. Air resistance shouldn't really change much. Is it supposed to do anything? Physics is not my forte.

Well he can talk to living humans too. But as a half-Ruin entity I'm sure he realizes that some things just have to end to have any meaning.
-
Well when you have bottomless luck statistically you'd get what you need eventually Though I guess as Hoid says, what matters is timeliness. Speaking of, since bloodmakers can regenerate from deoxygenation damage and torn muscles, a gold compounder can essentially replicate pewter drag by brute-forcing your hesling while being invincible right? Being able to heal muscle damage would also let you go past the normal human limit for exertion to an extent. You'll still feel exhausted/near dead, sure, but Miles doesn't feel pain so maybe you eventually desensitize to it.
