  1. "So.... how about that sun." Kenna ignored the man who was trying to be overly friendly to everyone. Didn't he realize he was surrounded by criminals? He wouldn't last long if he kept that up. Smart people avoided criminals, but on the off-chance a smart person found themselves stuck in a courtyard full of criminals, they at least avoided annoying said criminals. Which is why she stood against the courtyard wall, simply watching the two dancing around the courtyard, knives flashing as they tried to kill each other. It almost amused her. But only almost. After a few minutes with no progression in the fight, she grew bored. She wanted something actually amusing, but she didn't want to annoy anyone. Guess that means harassing the one person who clearly isn't a criminal. She stepped up to Friend. "Why do you want to be friends with people like this?" She motioned to the two--now three (when did that third jump in? she wondered)--dancing across the courtyard. "They'll just try to kill you. If it's death you want, I know a guy. He's much more effective. I guarantee he'll end this friendless misery you've brought upon yourself. What do you say?"
  2. I admit I am confused. The Lords of Chaos have sworn to be chaotic. That is our sole mission in life. Checking in here constantly just to prove our existence to worthless peons in less-cool clubs isn't chaotic. We don't need to prove our existence or pay rent. We simply are and will always be. Nothing--not even a laughable claim from the so-called Ice Queen--can change that. However, you may try. You won't succeed, but you can try. You'll find your court will become far more chaotic. You see, we need no help in knowing our duty--and that is to chaos. Good luck though, and good day.
  3. It's a good thing my life is settling down after the craze of the last two months, because this game looks awesome. I'm rather a fan of Steelheart. Kenna doesn't make friends easily. Mostly because she's aggressively apathetic. (And now we get to see how well I can channel April Ludgate....minus the deadpan)
  4. Really? Huh. For some reason, I was thinking Sart proved he was still a Bloodmaker after Joe had jumped. Must've been the night after that. That's what I get for not keeping up with my notes as well as I should've been. How did I have 7 votes? I was an Iron Compounder. I kept that Feruchemical iron spike. And then Maill gave me the Allomantic iron the night Gleeman stole my body (which really sucked, because I really wanted to use that compounding myself). So it was double-filling every night since he wasn't using the lurching ability.
  5. Yeah, I realized when I saw the votes that Alvron had taken sart, and I'm like, "Well. There's the Set. All kandra-fied." It wasn't until I saw that last vote that I knew that you'd jumped to Maill, though, Joe. I thought he seemed pretty normal before then, so congrats on that (not that he'd really been active much, but still).
  6. I haven't tried to spike anyone since Araris; I've been using my power every night since Maill gave that spike to me.
  7. Once again, I'm going to vote for Bunnt. I'm actually surprised that we haven't lynched him yet, considering how much suspicion has arisen about him. The only kandra who's been consistently switching bodies has been TrelVin--which tells me the other two kandra have found hosts they like. We know Bunnt was wide open the night Alron switched bodies, and his comments in the thread made him a prime target for body-snatching, since his koloss-blooded claim made him a risky target to get. However, if they called him on his bluff, and it was indeed a bluff (as I think it was), he's now sliding by. Also--what does it hurt? If he's not a kandra and he was telling the truth about being koloss-blooded, he'll survive. That's far better than lynching another innocent, especially with the numbers as low as they are now.
  8. No, according to my time, it ended 5 minutes ago. 6:00 PM Pacific.
  9. Okay, I've been thinking this over, and I'm going to have to vote for Bunnt. I think Alron may have jumped from Maill to Bunnt once he saw Maill's confession post. I seriously doubt he'd stay on the same target after something like that, and with Bunnt saying so definitively that he is not kandra, it would make sense for him to switch to Bunnt.
  10. Yes, I received that spike. I didn't announce it in the thread because I didn't want to make myself a higher priority target than I already considered myself. And why did I consider myself a high priority target? I never said who I gave Araris' spike to, so the kandra probably assumed I kept it for myself, just like you guys have assumed. Whether or not that assumption is correct... Who knows. The point is, I lurched myself last night.
  11. So I’m assuming that your statement of the code I mentioned, you’re referring to the code I mentioned in that same PM right? Not one I mentioned in a previous game? If so, that particular code is two short. And there are things in it that don’t exactly apply once lined up… If we drop the players who’ve been killed thus far and run with it then (logically matching up what applies to us versus what applied to them), it’ll work just fine. As for the code code. I think I have this right. 155189491420. 920 2718 914518 155201295131829214 1857. Before I do more, I should probably find out if this is correct and that you understand. Then we can talk the finer points. (By the way, assuming I have this right, it's going to be killer hard for me to decode, but whatever. )
  12. ...oh. Heh. I'm not sure how I missed that. This is going to take a bit of time to figure out, if I know what you're referring to. I don't have time right now, but I should in a few hours. Confirmation pending.
  13. It looks like it was probably 7 Pacific, since my vote came just after 6 and Alvron's vote change came just after 7. However, in that case, the result should've been a tie anyway, since Alvron's vote before then was on Bunnt. I'm guessing it didn't get counted because he greened out the prior one (as was correct), so it looked like his only vote came after the cut-off. Regardless, I think we learned more in this case by lynching someone than we would've with a tie...
  14. Okay, I've had a little bit of time to do some analysis for the time since Joe switched bodies. I find the most suspicious person to be Bunnt. This is for a few different reasons. One, I think the kandra will still want to spread out between the factions. That may seem pointless now that PM's are down, but we're most likely to trust the members of our own faction. They're also going to want to spread the deaths and stuff between the factions so no faction pulls too far ahead. The Riots are in a very good position, and I think the kandra would want to infiltrate that. Two, his first post today was fishy. Mostly the beginning of it. He made sure to mention the fact that he voted for Morgan, as if that should alleviate suspicion of him. However, the one thing we should always remember in this game is that just because you vote for someone evil doesn't mean you're innocent. Even if you're the initiating vote or the one that pushes it past a deadlock. Depending on the circumstances on Team Evil, they can turn on each other if they think it'll get them a firm amount of trust (I did that really early on against Joe in Game 4, just to get myself in a little more with Aonar. And it kind of worked). Third, he says he has no other suspicions beyond Morgan now that Morgan is gone. It seems like a way to slide under the radar a little more, so people don't ask for his opinion because he's lost, even though he's actually been somewhat paying attention to the game (at least, far more than I've been able to). If someone's paying attention, they'll have some sort suspicion, even if it's slight. And even a slight suspicion is helpful, when the reasons are supplied as well.
  15. Huh? We talked about setting up a code, but I don't remember this code actually being set up. I guarantee I'd be using it if it were. My inactivity is a result of real life being crazy, as I'm know I've said on here multiple times. I've been to two conventions, I work full time, and I've had a ton of other things come up this month that I wasn't expecting. Hence=inactivity. Not that I'm saying don't lynch me. I'm fine with inactives being lynched--it's not like they're contributing anything. I hardly even know what's going on in the game anymore (although, let's be serious: I'm not entirely certain I ever knew exactly what was going on... ).
  16. Where have I been? I've been at a convention. I somehow misthought the date and thought the convention was next week when in fact it was this week. Hence the lack of warning of my absence. It was relatively unexpected... I don't know how many vanillas would be in the game, but I started as a vanilla as well. If someone's trying to calculate percentages and stuff, that might help (I'd do it, but I really, really don't have the time. I'm still at this convention until tonight, and tomorrow's going to be busy as well). I'll go Quitania as well, since having four vanillas is unlikely for so many power possibilities. Plus, she's a relative inactive, so it won't matter. (That same logic applies to me, as I'm relatively inactive and therefore not much of a help...sorry about that. :/ ) EDIT: Clearly, I need to read the thread thoroughly before posting fast during lunch. I'd assumed someone used a time manipulation metal to extend the day. Obviously that's wrong. I agree with the sentiments on fast healing, Bartbug. That really sucks. And take as much time as you need. Healing is far more important than a game.
  17. Since it didn't look like my other Set members answered this question from a bit ago, yes, I Spiked Araris. And I kept the spike since we didn't know what would happen if we spiked someone outside the Set. As for who to spike tonight... I think if we want to test giving the spike to someone outside the Set, we should sound Jain. We're not sure what's going to happen (although we have some ideas), and just in case spiking a non-Set member turns them evil, we don't want them with a useful power. And Jain's isn't. If we're not testing that, I don't mind, since we'd be verifying two players regardless. I think Peng's genuinely inactive, but that doesn't mean he isn't a kandra, and he's the only one I'm doubtful of in the group right now. There's a chance we somehow slid by with no infiltration at the start. Anyway, just because there's no outcry against Peng doesn't mean he's not. It could just be that the other kandra aren't going to risk revealing themselves for an inactive team member. In their shoes, that's what I'd do, if he is. In fact, in their shoes, I would've already dropped a vote on him.... But regardless, Peng.
  18. Araris, I want to apologize. We in The Set were under the impression that spiking simply role-blocked rather than killed and we didn't want that power with someone set on the faction war since finding the kandra is more important. If we'd known spikes killed, we wouldn't have done it, since live players on Team Good are even more important to finding Team Evil. I'm sorry.
  19. I really shouldn't be posting right now, but I need to make some things clear. I said one thing about the gang war in the PM, and that wasn't really focusing on it. I've more been talking about other types of strategizing (or at least the need to discuss that since I haven't actually had time to really analyze and come up with my own ideas for said strategies yet). And the only thing that could possibly be construed as focusing on the gang wars here in the thread was when I said Meta beat me to voting for someone of the other gang. And the only reason I was going to (and did) vote for the other faction was because people seemed afraid to. And that's not how we find the kandra. My focus is not on the gang war. I couldn't care less about the gang war right now. Sure, I'd like to win on that secondary win condition, but the primary is still far more important. And that's finding the kandra. So despite what the RP for Willa in the writeups indicate, if I'd actually had time to RP beforehand, she wouldn't be acting like that at all. But that's okay. She's more established now, and that'll give me something to play with when I do have time to really jump into the game. For now, I'm keeping up with the game as much as I can--which, admittedly, is only barely above being inactive at this stage. I've sort of got a lot going on in real life, and I probably shouldn't have jumped into a game this complicated, but whatever. What's done is done, and now I just have to keep myself from going inactive. Or you guys can kill me first. My vote is going to Peng. Despite checking in on the game and PM and seeing that we wanted a comment from him, he still hasn't said anything. Not even a simple "sorry I'm inactive." Until I have more time to analyze other people here in the thread, that's the most suspicious thing to me.
  20. Wow. I am feeling the love here. It's great. I don't really have much time to say anything. I'm attending Salt Lake Comic Con, so I won't really have time to really start analyzing and posting in depth until Sunday (but I'll be able to keep up with the game until then. No worries. Just don't expect many posts from me). Of course, this is assuming I survive. Sort of looks like I might not this game. And Meta. I wanted to be the one to start the wars by voting for someone of the other gang. And then you had to steal my thunder. Aonar. Just because he doesn't have any votes and he's a dangerous player. And he's not in my gang. And now I'm off to the Con.
  21. The game should start in about 2 1/2 hours, since he's probably saying 6 pm Pacific Time.
  22. Bartbug, can we extend sign-ups to Monday (Labor Day)? I'm sure a lot of the Stateside players (at least) have plans this weekend, especially for those that it's a three-day weekend. I'm going camping tomorrow, and while I should have access to wi-fi, I'm not likely to use it to keep up with a game. Extending the sign ups will also give others more time to sign up, if they want to.
  23. Why be afraid? I can just as easily navigate around the 100k+ words you guys are sure to create by simply searching for my name. That'll be much easier. And now that I've said that, you guys are probably going to troll me by not ever referring to me as "Wilson"....
  24. Normally I'd sit out for a game this complicated, but I feel the start of Elimination withdrawals coming on so I should probably jump back in. I can't guarantee I'll be as active as I have been in past games, but I can guarantee that I won't be inactive, so that's something. Wilson almost wants to make an appearance again, but she's having too much fun world-hopping to return to Scadrial quite yet, even for wars between city gangs and kandra (she also might fear a little GM retribution for the brutal way she killed his last game's counterpart....). Therefore, Willa is stepping up. She's perfectly innocent (except for the fact that she's either corrupt or part of a gang. Details. Those are irrelevant, right?).
