I might be able to. I'm not certain, because I've got family coming into town around then, but we'll see.

Wait, your reasoning for me being a baron is because Maill objected to the room assignment? You realize that the only thing he changed in that was what room we'd be going to, right? Which is what you wanted. Everything else was the same. So please, tell me, why he'd do that if we were both barons--because I agree with you that the barons wouldn't want to be in the same room this far into the game, but since he didn't change the bunkmates, that means there was a baron already in the other room. If not you, then who? -

Joe, I need to apologize to you. I seriously didn't think he was going to make the kill. It was more logical for Araris to make it, considering who his roommates were. If I'd known, I would've done something to stop him. Maill. Looks like Theory was right all along. Oh, and good luck with your Reckoner's Jacket. I'm guessing it doesn't protect you from a lynch. -

Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons
little wilson replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, that makes sense now. Oh, I didn't find you suspicious because you disagreed with the theory. I mean, I disagree with the theory too. It was more about how you dismissed it than anything else. It was a plausible idea, and I personally think all plausible ideas should be discussed, if only to see what others think about them and the logic they apply to their thoughts. Dismissing it out of hand without really any reason (because you didn't really mention anything other than it being flimsy at the time) is the part that stuck out to me. But now that you've given more reasons behind that dismissal, it makes sense. Araris. You're not off my suspect list completely, but you're no longer at the top. I, like Joe, am also intrigued that Theory PM'd you with suspicions but hasn't said anything about those (other than Maill) in the thread. Because she sent this at night, it make sense that she might not've wanted to post anything in the thread. However, she's already posted today. And that was a perfect time to express any suspicions--particularly those she expressed during the night. Therefore, my vote is now on Stanley. We might want to fix that room situation. If at all possible. I mean, I'm fine having most or even all of us in the same room, but that just provides more targets for the barons. And less chance of us figuring out who they are (even though I personally think we've got it mostly figured out. Hopefully). -
Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons

Sorry for the double post, but this is completely different than the last one. I've been looking over my notes for the entire game, trying to figure out who to vote for, between the 4 on the block right now. Gamma's has some suspicious activity, but I'm inclined to think he's good. That's not a certainty by any means, but he doesn't seem to be taking the game as seriously as I'd think he would be if he were a baron. The only thing that sticks out to me about him is that he was starting to collect some votes on himself right before the bandwagon on Loipin started, but that's not too terribly surprising, considering his experience. Theory has been unusually quiet, but homework is a valid excuse for that. I'm just curious why it took so long for that to come out, when we've been asking about the reticence almost every day cycle (although not very insistently). Maill hasn't been particularly suspicious in behavior and actions, but due to his sharing a room with Tulir, he's somewhat suspicious. While I think Joe's baron seeker theory is a good one (and I've said this before), I'm not sure how much stock I put in it. I was mostly basing that idea off the fact that I don't see why it's so crucial for the barons to have a seeker--since the seeker role isn't as critical in this particular game as it has been in the past. However, something else occurred to me earlier today as I was looking over my notes. I don't think Trial stalked at night. I think he stalked in the day. He can do that either day or night, and I think he probably picked the most vocal players to check. Which explains Ren. And that means that even if someone in his room and spied on him that night, they wouldn't have seem him spying on anyone. Because he'd already done it. That said, I still think Maill is someone we should watch, because even though he hasn't been particularly suspicious, he also hasn't been particularly helpful either. Whether that's due to his role or something else, I don't know. Araris. The first thing that stuck out to me about Araris is how fast he struck down Joe's seeker theory. He immediately called it a flimsy reason to put a fourth vote on someone--which is true that we don't want a bandwagon that early in the cycle, and yet, Joe's theory was a valid one that we needed to discuss more. Joe had the most solid reason to be voting for Jain up to that point in the cycle. Yet he got blasted for it. The second thing that stuck out to me was Araris calling Ash out on being in the hallway. I get that he didn't know what was going on. But none of us did. We knew Ash had found something out in the hallway, and that he could only use it if he was out in the hallway. But he announced in the thread that he'd searched the hallway. The fact that he didn't say what he found should've been indication that he'd found something useful (since the last time he mentioned he'd searched the room, he stated that he'd found the clean gym clothes). He wasn't trying to be deceptive about his reasons for being the hallway. Sure, he didn't say in the thread that he'd found something, but that makes sense, because he didn't want to make himself an even bigger target for the barons. Calling him out makes it seem like you were trying to get him to state his plan--which, to my knowledge, only one person other than Ash knew--in the thread, all for the barons to read and base their plans around. It's no wonder Ash said Araris was saying two different things: he was asking Ash to explain himself and his plans, but he was also saying that talking in the thread was pointless. It's one or the other. It can't be both. Trying to get both is suspicious. Hence, Araris. Sorry for the long paragraphs. I didn't expect to go that much into detail, but I figured I'd lay my logic out there, especially since most of my conversations thus far in the game have been via PM. -

So just to clarify room assignments tonight, we're going with Joe's, correct? Armoury: Mailliw, The Only Joe, Wilson. Barracks: Gamma, Theorymaker, Araris. And then Aonar chooses based on who looks like they're getting lynched. Don't forget to send in your room orders. This is getting tight, and we don't want to give the barons any easy pickings in the hallway. -

You voted for Jasnah. It was the 8th vote that day. It was after Joe voted for Jain and before Jasnah voted for Jain. Right here. It just never got retracted. Apparently because you forgot you even placed it. :/ -

Jain's lynch happened because I went to a friend's house that night to watch Divergent. In her basement. That happened shortly after I voted for Jain. I knew there was a chance we were going to switch targets to Kelsey (Jain had told Aonar and Joe he was the doctor, but we weren't sure we believed him), so I spent 15-20 minutes checking my phone to see if I had an email notification. My phone showed I was connected to the internet, so I'd thought I'd still be getting notifications (I didn't get online because the room was dark and I was surrounded by people. I've never been a fan of people who mess around on phones during movies and I wasn't going to become one of those myself unless I knew I needed to). It wasn't until 4 minutes after the rollover, when I realized I still hadn't gotten the new thread email that I knew what had happened. I got online, saw all the PMs I'd missed and the action in the thread, and I facepalmed. Many times. Of course, that's only a part of why Jain got lynched. There were also those who forgot to retract their first votes so their votes on Kelsey didn't count. Like you, Araris. -
Oh, look at this. I saw the mention of Sanderson Elimination Live in the Elimination forum, but I didn't think to check here. I don't attend BYU (I'm a proud alumnus of BYU-I ), but I am most certainly in the area (only about 5 minutes away from campus. Maybe 10). Depending on the day and the frequency, I'd be interested in coming.

Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons
little wilson replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay. I literally have no time at all to post, but the vote is between Kelsey and Jain. Lynching Kelsey won't give us any information. It's the easy lynch, and doing that just to clear away a pointless target for the barons isn't a good reason. The barons don't really have a reason to hit him since we're all bigger threats to them. Hence I'm voting Jain. We need a lynch for the information, and this is the only way we'll get it. -
Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons
little wilson replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Wow. I was not expecting the Serial Killer to be taken out this early. I also wasn't overly suspicious of Tulir either, so big thanks to the barons for that. It likely would've taken us a while to find him. I disagree a bit with you, Aonar. There's a good chance the barons viewed him as a threat just as much as we did. After all, he couldn't see alignment, so there wouldn't even be any sort of a chance for him to try playing with the two sides. And if they did aim to take him out, I'm a little worried my analysis may have helped them figure out who to target. Which isn't cool. (well. Okay. It got rid of the SK, so I can't complain too much, but still.) I do, however, agree that it won't do us any good to kill Kelsey. He's inactive, and lynching him just wastes an opportunity to find one of the barons. And even if we don't lynch a baron today, we'll gain information that could lead us to them. Lynching Kelsey won't give us any information at all. I'm going to vote Ash for now simply because he's been pretty reticent with his suspicions and such, and I'd like to know who he suspects. -
Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons
little wilson replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay. I've been doing analysis for the last hour and it feels like my eyes are bleeding, but I figured I'd put my conclusions down here (although, admittedly, there's not much). First, while the SK made a kill, the vote results are exactly as I had expected. This means the SK didn't vote. It also means that those who did vote--Gamma, Jain, me, Araris, and Maill--cannot be the SK. Nor are any of us the Rich Civilian, since that didn't pop up either. (In Aonar's ninja of me, I realize that this might not be entirely correct. If the Rich Civilian did vote....the SK is either Gamma, Jain, me, or Araris. However, as that takes a large bit of luck, I'm inclined to think that's not what happened. And not just because my head is on the line if that is what happened) Second, we don't have to worry about a SK kill tonight, as they just made that. However, it's nearly certain we have to worry about the barons. There are a lot of people out in the hallway, and it's guaranteed the barons are going to take a shot at one of them. And, bonus, the SK might be out in the hallway with you lot. Although I'm not sure why he would be.... Fingers crossed the barons hit him if he is. Last part (I did say I didn't have much). Suspects (for SK, since the barons haven't done jack so I don't have anything definitive yet for them). Theory - she checked everyone's profile within about 30 minutes of the roles being distributed (yes, I checked). She and Joe both did, but Joe has a habit of doing that, so it's not out-of-the-norm for him. What is out of the norm for Theory is that while she normally doesn't post very often, she does typically say more when she posts than she has been in this game. And the little she says isn't of much use. Ash - He was in Ren's room last night. He said he found clean gym clothes, but he could've just as well been saying that, and he actually stalked his roommates that night. The Arms Dealer is one that the SK would want to remove early (along with any other killing role). Couple that with the fact that Ren had created a practically foolproof plan, and you've got an excellent target. These suspects aren't terribly definitive by any means, but it's what I've noticed thus far in the game, and what my analysis for the results came up with. I'm leaning more toward Ash than Theory, currently, but that's subject to change. -
Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons
little wilson replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
....That's actually a valid point. I hadn't considered that possibility. I guess I just sort of default my thinking process to "how would I play Team Evil" and base my assumptions off that. And I don't typically try to break the metagame. I probably should. I still think she's more likely to be the SK than a baron, but I will admit the possibility that she could be a baron. It could work, especially in a game like this. We'll want to get a good discussion going about it before we decide (and it might be a little late in the day for that, but we can try). If we do decide to do that, we'll have to tweak the plan a bit. Maybe ease off of the kill abilities a bit, since if we're not lynching (to avoid mislynches), we'll have to figure out other ways of getting the eliminators. I do like the plan as it stands though. It's a tight plan and I don't see much way around it, even if we keep losing rooms. We can still narrow things down to a select few players who were in the room, and then use the seeking roles plus our analysis on the players to narrow it down further. -
Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons
little wilson replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
First off, sorry if I haven't been explaining myself well. I don't think she's a baron. If she's an eliminator, I think she's the SK. And if she is, her erratic behavior works for that. The SK wants everybody dead, so they wouldn't care who we lynched. They'd just want a lynch. Now is it the best strategy to be jumping around and showing that lack of care? No. But I could see a new player making that mistake. Heck, I could see a semi-experienced player making that mistake too, since this kind of role hasn't been in the games before. The point is, it's less about who is lynched to the serial killer and more about that someone is lynched. Hence my use of her being erratic as arousing suspicion. That said, if she'd been this erratic last game, my suspicion of her would be low. So it's not even the erratic behavior per se. It's the change of play style. The fact that it's changed into being erratic simply makes me lean towards a particular role for her, since the barons wouldn't condone that kind of behavior--especially since we were calling her out on it as it was happening. Does that make sense? -

Theory/Stanley did check in. Link. The one who hasn't responded to accusations is Aya. She was last online at about 5pm MST, and my questions were posted 3 hours previously. She's been ignoring them, and that adds another level of suspicion on top of her erratic behavior from yesterday. I said earlier that my vote would likely become official, and now it is. -
Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons
little wilson replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
...I think your erratic behavior and lack of answering questions directed to you are doing a pretty good job of that without anyone else's help. While Jasnah definitely looks suspicious, I haven't really seen anything from her that directs back to you (aside from a very key vote). And anyway, this is her first game. Not that that means she couldn't be on Team Evil (I'm looking at you, Khas), but there's a little leeway there for new players. You're new as well. But this is your second game, and your play style is very different and far more erratic than it was in the Rithmatist game. If you'd been erratic in both games (a la Jain or Ash), you wouldn't have nearly as much suspicion on you right now. The fact is, your play style changed, and that is very suspicious. Rather than trying to cast suspicions elsewhere, how about you answer the question I asked you earlier. Why did you spend so much time yesterday switching your vote around willy-nilly and saying Steel was innocent, seemingly basing your opinion off RP reasons, only to then give very valid reasons as to why you believed he was innocent after he was dead? That's something you should've said way earlier. You might've actually been able to save him then. But you didn't. And I (and I'm sure others) would like an explanation for that. -
I'm in Provo. I'd be down for this, depending on when. My schedule's fairly busy most days of the week.

little wilson replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Aya was with me in the barracks. JoeJain, Aya didn't participate in the lynch for Steel. She was opposed to it. What I would like to know from her is why she waited until after he was dead to actually give us valid reasons about why she didn't think he was evil. Her comments about his newness and activity level were good reasons, but considering her erratic behavior, it was too little too late. I'm not going to throw a vote on her right now, simply because Joe'sJain's already got one on her, and I don't want to see a bandwagon happen. However, I would like answers for yesterday, so take this as a vote, because it's highly likely it will become one. Also, I'm on my phone and I really don't want to bother with the bbcode right now. I'll edit this later for blue. -

According to my notes, Aya still has 2 votes on her. Jain and Maill. Because of this, I'll vote Loipin to solidify that lynch. We don't want any vote manipulators making it a tie. Especially after the crazy of vote switches that happened earlier. -

Personally, I only RP when I can actually think of an RP. I don't like forcing them out. Sounds unnatural. Plus, I can get my thoughts out in a far more relevant way when I'm not in-character. And I find relevancy is rather important when one wants to win. Anyway. I thought I said I was pro-plan.....Or maybe I didn't on here. Anyway, yes. I advocate this plan. Let's the see the barons wriggle out of it. (I'm actually really curious if they're going to be able to, and how. It's a tight plan. Kudos to Ren for coming up with it). -
Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons
little wilson replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Kenna sat off to the side of the room, listening to Raid explain how many possible ways they could die in here. She’d joked about death before with Friend, but now that it was potentially staring her in the face, she regretted that. She didn’t want to die, and she definitely didn’t want to die to any barrow barons. Or at the hands or a serial killer. That prospect nearly terrified her more than the barons. The idea of being stalked and preyed upon. She shuddered. There was only one thing to do. Weed both of them out--the barons and the serial killer. While we definitely want to make finding the barons our main priority, we also need to make sure we’re looking for the serial killer too. We can’t win until we kill him as well. Obviously, the best chance of catching either of those is with the roles that can discover actions. We've got a few of those, and then the serial killer who can find the roles--which would be the best, but I don't think we can count on him to help us out. As for Ash's idea, I think it's got some merit. If we can get a good plan set up, I'm totally down. Personally, I’ll need to analyze the roles a little more now that the game's started and I'm in that mindset, but I don’t have much more time tonight. And tomorrow, I’ve got a family thing tomorrow going on and I'll be driving for about 5-6 hours. So basically, don't expect much out of me tomorrow, although I'll likely check in on my phone every now and then when I can (because, let’s face it, I can’t keep myself away for long ). To promote discussion, though, I’m going to vote for Stanley. For now. Until a better candidate comes along, or she responds. EDIT: retracted vote -

"Er, no thanks," Friend said before backing slowly but steadily away from her. Kenna watched him retreat and had to suppress a small grin at the expressions flitting across his face. He actually seemed afraid of her. She stepped back up to him. "Oh, c'mon. He's really good at what he does. I once watched him decapitate this guy, and sparks, it was one of the coolest--and bloodiest--things I've seen in my life!" Friend’s expression turned horrified, his eyes going wide. He spluttered, no words coming out. He started backing away again, but Kenna grabbed his arm. “I’m joking! I never saw that, and I don’t know any assassins for hire. Although I do have connections--if they’re still alive. I could probably find one if you wanted.” She chuckled. “But I don’t think you do.” She looked back into the main courtyard. It looked like the fight had died down. She sighed. “Now I’m bored again. But I think we’ll get inside soon. Feels like it. I’ve always wanted to see inside an Enforcers HQ. Raiding it will be even better.” My notes and lists are so prepped and ready for this. This is going to be a blast.
