  1. Except that we saw TenSoon take the place of the constable at the end of Alloy of Law, which means that they can, apparently, take human bodies at Harmony's orders.
  2. Fair. Maybe 7 movie titles that contain the word "back"
  3. Ask about Felt or WalDo. "So, the Venture spy, Felt. Does he know any magic systems? If so, which ones?" "Is the kandra worldhopper on Roshar in the form of a scribe?"
  4. "The Venture spy from Mistborn is named Felt. The scout who finds the Oathgate is named Felt. Same guy?" "Did Shallan have help from a Worldhopper in finding the Oathgate at the end of WoR?" "So, Felt, the Venture spy. Did he survive the Scadrian apocalypse?" (If he even remembers Felt, it's probably proof) "So, the guy who finds the Oathgate in WoR is named Felt. How old is he?" "So the Venture spy, Felt. Does he know any magic systems? If so, which ones?"
  5. Shash is related to the color red, since it's likely that the color red is Shash in the Hallendren alphabet.
  6. Well, from this info, I would "Venture" to guess that there were two rioters and a soother involved in last night's hoopla (That or two rioters, one of which is Wyrm). If I'm not mistaken, there was a soother involved in the Day 3 result as well, however. If Meta chose his eliminator roles, then 3 vote manipulators is way overpowered. As such, it's logical that the voting result was affected by the actions of one or two villagers. However: -Wyrm's vote soothed: This is just weird. It affected basically nothing. There is no rational reason why this single vote on Maill would be randomly changed. We shouldn't throw away the possibility that Wyrm is a Mistborn (spiked), because of this. It would just be so obtuse for Wyrm to riot after voting that it would be immediately discounted. I will assume however, (though I recognize I've been flip-flopping on this) that Wyrm just got soothed for some reason. -Sarcomere's vote changed from Ostrich to Hero: This was very important to the vote as a whole. The ratio from most-voted to second-most went from 5-2 to 4-3. Only one vote away from a tie or one rioter manipulation away from Hero's death. -Hero's vote changed from Ostrich to Maill: And here is that rioter manipulation. Rioting it from Ostrich to Hero himself would have been preferable if Hero was a villager, I would assume. This tie saved both Hero and Ostrich, in a way. Conclusion: This vote was deliberately tied between Hero and Ostrich. This denotes 3 situations: -Wyrm is Mistborn and drew rioter, another eliminator is a rioter. Moderately likely. We have one Eliminator rioter in the No Vote section but one of them is Wyrm. -Wyrm was soothed by an eliminator and there were two Eliminator rioters: This is unlikely so long as we assume that Meta didn't provide the eliminators with 3 vote manipulation roles. Or at least two and a Mistborn. We have two unkown Eliminator rioters in the No Vote section. -Wyrm was soothed for some ineffable reason by a villager, and there are two Eliminator rioters/Mistborn. We have two unknown Eliminator rioters in the No Vote section. (And yes, I know that I, myself, am in the No Vote section. I honestly didn't care who got lynched last round.) I'd just like to say that our suspicion has been burning out a little too quickly this game. As soon as a lynch fails, (Yesterday) we just sort of move on. I'd say that this round casts extreme suspicion on both Hero and Ostrich, since they were both saved. Sure, this could just be an Eliminator double-bluff, but there's an easy way to find out if one of them is guilty. I'll be voting Hero this next round, and I hope that the voting is lopsided enough this time that rioter shenanigans can't save him again.
  7. 1) Nightblood 2) Syl 3) Pattern 4) Vindication 5) Zar'Roc 6) Brsingr 7) Oathbringer 8) Firestorm 9) Sunraiser 10) Narsil Name 7 movie titles that contain the word "attack"
  8. They did push and pull it, if I recall correctly. I specifically remember one of them trying to hit it against the wall to break it early on in the fight.
  9. The climax was absolutely sweet. This book rocked my socks off. Seeing Regalia at the end was like... seeing Darth Vader with his mask off. The terrible, powerful villain you thought existed is actually a pitiful wretch. I loved it. Though I think the true climax was when David was racing through the city using the Spyrill, dodging tentacles of water. Just trying to imagine that image made my mind want to explode with awesomeness. Though. admittedly, my reaction to the book might just be the fact that I've been on Brandon Sanderson Withdrawal. I haven't read anything new by him for... months.
  10. Well, I'm definitely not busy. I've kept this thread open for the last few days while I've played Dwarf Fortress, and refreshed it every few minutes. I would post more, but I don't have anything to add to the conversation. A lot of you guys seem to base your suspicions on discrepancies in playstyle, and I just don't have that kind of knowledge. Rest assured that I'm posting any decent thing that comes to mind, however.
  11. Metal hurts your teeth. And it's bad for your heart, as in: Ouch. Someone just pounded a metal stake into my chest.
  12. I would have done what you suggested, but sadly, we don't know enough about the perpendicularities to really make a map right now. EDIT: Here are some ideas for additional rules, as well: -Siege: If a territory is not adjacent to another territory possessed by the player in question, they cannot reinforce it by more than 1 troop during that turn (ie. in order to put two or more reinforcements on a space, it's got to have a territory you possess connected to it). This should prevent players from abusing territories like North Aimia, Shattered Plains, and New Natanatan. -Shards: Every player starts with a set of Shards. These shards don't count as soldiers, but the Shard tokens give the soldiers in that space extra abilities. Shards are captured if a battle that they participate in is lost. Retreating counts as a loss, and Shards will be left behind with the defending army. Shard Movement: Shards can move two times each turn. Each move allows them to go through one territory. Using a Shard in an attack counts as a move. Shard Effects: -Shardblade Offensive: One Shardblade will make ties go in the attacker's favor. Two or more Shardblades will, in addition, cause the defender to lose 3 soldiers instead of 2 if the defender is beaten with both dice. -Shardblade Defensive: One Shardblade will add 1 to each die. Two or more Shardblades will, in addition, cause the attacker to lose 3 soldiers instead of 2 if the attacker is beaten with both dice. -Shardplate Offensive and Defensive: One set of Shardplate will prevent the attacker from losing more than one soldier each round of combat (ie. if the Enemy Player beats the Shardplater with both dice, the Shardplater will lose one soldier rather than two.) Each set of Shardplate negates the influence of one enemy Shardblade on the battle.
  13. Hello! I hope your time lurking the forums has given you the wisdom to avoid cookies at all costs.
  14. Well, actually, I trust Wilson a lot. I stated that quite definitively at the end of my post. I didn't mean to cast suspicion on her, I just wanted to point out that most of her suspects are people who have attacked her in-thread. Those PM networks give her and Claincy a lot of clout, so it seemed important to me to point that out (Hey, that rhymed!) But I suppose it's about time to cast a vote anyway. Here's what I think, in case anybody cares: Wilson's vote on Wyrm is a little... unfounded. Imean, I suppose anybody here could be an eliminator, but I don't think Wyrm has done anything in particular to stand out as a suspect. Same for Ash. Eoldren is a special case, but I don't think it's a good idea to lynch people who are probably innocent just to "see what's up with them". And, and... Well, I guess I'm not really all that suspicious of anybody. Maybe I should just delete this paragraph. Or I could just post it. Lynching's tough for me. While I agree that it needs to be done, I don't want to be the one to actually point the finger at an innocent player and have them be killed by accident. And then, of course, there's the fact that everybody seems to read too much into it. Who you vote for, and when, and how, and why, is overanalyzed by people into these behemoth walls of blue texted suspicion. In fact, right now I'm pretty sure that people are going to start pointing fingers at me if I don't vote for two cycles in a row. What a mess. Well, I suppose Dowanx is a little suspicious now that you mention it, but please please please don't overanalyze this vote. Please
  15. Shame on me. Yolenish, though, is an ethnicity which I assume Hoid and Felt share (they're described very similarly). I just looked at Mraize's photo on Coppermind, and he definitely does not look anything like them.
  16. Not sure I'm qualified to answer this after the above confusion, but I don't think there's anything special about AonDor in that regard. From my reckoning, AonDor is practically the same thing as Allomancy, just broader. You're using the rhythm of the Aon's (cymatic?) pattern to draw out energy in the desired form, just like allomancy draws out power using the timbre of the metal being burned.
  17. WHAT? Have I been wrong all this time in assuming that Taravangian's network and the Ghostbloods are the same thing?
  18. So someone else actually saw this? Sweet! It was all worth it. Of course, there's one person who I think really needs to be aware of it (I know you're there, Peter)
  19. Well, I think most of the community is pretty sure that the Cosmere novels were fictionally "collected" by the 17th Shard, maybe Khriss. This is reinforced by Nazh's name on a lot of the maps and diagrams in some of the latest novels. That's not to say that the Ghostbloods are not connected somehow with the Shard, though. (Mraize seems like a worldhopper to me, specifically a Yolener)
  20. I'm not sure if this thread is doomed to obscurity already, but I made this: For the record, I would not be suing Brandon Sanderson if this became a thing. Note: I think I just definitively proved the Four Color Map Theorum
  21. A risk board I made for Stormlight Archives, and uploaded to this thread. Just putting it out there in case somebody's interested.
  22. Hi! Follow proper internet safety protocols: Don't take cookies from strangers.
  23. Aww... Braize. I thought that that fact was strongly implied by several lines in the main body of the song. Was the symbolic reference to the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil too vague? (Hint: It's a tree. What falls off of trees? Other than spiritual knowledge and Mankind's symbolic struggle against anarchy, of course. You should know this one.)
  24. It's been stated that they are, in fact, practically the same thing, a type of Cosmere phenomena that we don't have a name for yet.
