Brandon mentions that something similar to Jazz is coming along in the SLCC Transcription. These are the plots of the next few books (spoiler alert)

Scadrial doesn't exist in a bubble. In Alloy of Law, it's abundantly clear that events are being influenced by some ghost or diety. Here are some quotes from the SLC Comic Con: Let's start with this: Bloody Tan is nuts. He's probably not doing anything productive by making a little museum of dead people, but remember back to HoA, where Sazed said that insane people were a lot easier to manipulate than normal people. And from that last quote (WoT Database), we can probably infer from the RAFO that Tan was seeing something. He was influenced by some sort of being. Is it Kelsier? Trying to upend the current social order? Is it Odium? Who's dribbling some power into Scadrial to try and upset Harmony's monopoly on Shardic Influence? Is it... Idunno, Bavadin? Whoever that is? Cause it's someone, and that someone is going to be very important in the rest of the series. So what are we dealing with here? Any ideas?

I did approve of your maths. Very much. The Bendalloy idea is brilliant, though. The vanishers did steal several shipments of the stuff, if I'm not mistaken, and we know that they stole that shipment of aluminum specifically so that they could use it, so... Here's something: if you were to employ several allomancers to burn Bendalloy all day, they would, undoubtedly, become Savants. What effect do you think being a Bendalloy Savant has on the efficiency of your burning? EDIT: New idea: What if they kidnapped those people so that they could breed allomancy into the Southern Scadrians? EDIT #2: Nope, I did a search and I don't think that Bendalloy was ever specifically mentioned as being stolen by the Vanishers.

No. It was a multiquote that went horribly wrong. I'll fix it.

Of course Alvron said that. It was back when he was talking about that one thing, with the... thing.

Fair. The reason why I thought it was OK was that the conversion action only has about a 60% chance of succeeding (About 6-7 players will probably be immune at any given time). In addition, the convert can't bring any information with him/her, because they would have to be a member of Jesker (who don't have any PM's or Docs) for it to go through. If you really think it would make it too easy, though... Well, I did the "Sequence Thing" as I was trying to figure out how the kill actions would all fit together. 3 Eliminator kills/conversions every 2 cycles seemed a little high. I suppose I could simplify it, but... The Cult, I think, is practically on the good team. I didn't want their kill action to be too powerful. That was the main thing, I suppose. Theoretically, no one has to be elected, and it's quite probable that no one will be recalled. And, yeah, with all the vote actions, I figured it would get kind of confusing. But anyway, regular players get two votes every cycle: The Lynch Vote and the Senate Election/Recall vote. Senators get four votes: Lynch Vote, Senate Election/Recall, Vote for who gets the Senate Lynch Votes, and Resolution Pass/Fail. Not sure if that explanation made it less confusing, but... Nah, but they can win this way. If someone came up with a better Resolution, though, I could go with that. -------------------------------------- Everything Else: I'll take your word for it. -------------------------------------- And thanks for the feedback. It was exhilarating.

Giant Transcription of SLCC Audio

Brandon needs to write in a new shard called "Vibrana", or something, so that her metal can be Vibranium. It could be completely vibration resistant. -
Quick Fix Game 5: The Hunger Games!
Mckeedee123 replied to Peng the Just's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hold on... You guys all convened to form a big faction before the game? I kind of thought the factions were supposed to develop naturally during the game. Mato shook his head. It did not matter. Factions were for the weak. He did not need to rely on the strength of others.- 209 replies

Quick Fix Game 5: The Hunger Games!
Mckeedee123 replied to Peng the Just's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Breathe. You are ready. You will kill. You will win. Mato surveyed the other tributes one last time. They were weak and useless. Not like Mato. He was a victor at heart. 6 feet, 5 inches and weighing in at 220 pounds. Honor. Strength. Superiority. Why did they even bother send in tributes from the weaker districts? They were not ready. Not like Mato. He had trained for the games since his eleventh birthday, when his father had drugged a vagrant and brought him into the house for Mato to kill. Take away Society's laws, and everyone is a murderer. You must learn to be comfortable with killing, son, if you want to win. Training in the sword and spear. Lessons in speaking and posture. Hours upon hours of weight training. Above it all were the murders. Mato had started small, with his father and mother working together to gather the victims. Mato would slit their throats as they lay on the floor, mumbling incoherently. Eventually, he learned to do it on his own time. Finding beggars and vagrants, gagging them, then going to remote locations to torture them. Cutting fingers off, gouging out eyes, laying their viscera out on the ground as they died. Just enough to keep his bloodlust fresh. Come home in a coffin, and you will be forgotten, even by me. Come home with victory, and you will be remembered and loved for all eternity. Win. Mato eyed the spears poking out of the Cornucopia. No way he'd pass up a chance to win one of those. With the scrawny kids that he was up against, he could afford to risk getting caught in the bloodbath. ----------------------------------------------- I'm going for the cornucopia. I was going to avoid RP-ing, out of principle of this not being Sanderson, but it seems I'm doing it anyway.- 209 replies

I always kind of thought that the kidnapping thing was a set-up for the plot of the Modern Mistborn Trilogy. In fact, the entire series seems like it's leading into it, to me. Are we going to witness the collapse of the House System and the fracturing of our little utopia into nation-states? how would these things fit in with modern-era Scadrian society.

Nice. Throw in a few chasmfiends and you've got a fantastic game going.

Warbreaker movie casting (dream list) *spoilers*
Mckeedee123 replied to BreathTaker's topic in Warbreaker
Everyone knows that we Americans are the only English-speakers not to have funny accents. It would just sound normal to them. ------------------------------------ And for the record, the Hallandren/Idrian peoples are descended from seafarers who migrated there from across the Inner Sea about 300 years earlier (Having said that, I feel a certain affinity for them now). Their Earth-equivalent race is anybody's guess, but since the Pan Khal are described as having darker skin than the Hallandren, I'd have to guess that the Hallandren people actually are whatever you said: "white people from superlordofthewhoflylocketc!!". ------------------------------------ I was never really able to picture Vasher until the scene where he was killing those Lifeless with Nightblood. It reminded me of Aragorn fighting with his sword, Narsil. Vasher is now Viggo Mortenson in my head.- 99 replies

Where's WalDo: The Kandra Worldhopper
Mckeedee123 replied to Kobold King's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Hey! Wait! Hold the phone spanreed! When Rysn is passing by Axies on that island in the Reshi Sea, she expected Axies to have a "voidbringer shadow". Doesn't that kind of prove that the "curse of kind" wasn't just limited to a single individual? -
I hear yah, I hear yah... Maybe you should ask Brandon about this. Then you can get him to make up a canon answer for it.
-
Someone needs to start a thread for that.

Okay, first off, even as I'm writing this I know it's stupid. However, as is stated in the second oath of the 17th sharders "We will fill our forum with stupid theories, so long as some of them may be right". As I was re-reading Words of Radiance, I noticed Adolins' mother's chain. Adolin keeps it in his pocket whenever he duels. Then he conveniently "forgets" it just before he duels those four shardbearers? I don't buy it. "So Mister Chain... where were you on the day of the duel?" * Note: Subject is sweating profusely * We've got him on the ropes. Now all we need to do is figure out which Unmade took him. ---------------------------- But seriously, the chain going missing is such an innocent little thing that I almost have to assume it's important just because of that. Why does Adolin thinks he needs to keep it in his pocket? It could just be a memento, but the fact that he talks to his Shardblade has roots in something real, just like how religions on Shardworlds are based off of real events in worldbuilding. The fact that the chain was taken drew Renarin away for the early part of the duel. Which was why he was pressed for time, and couldn't get his armor on before he entered the arena --------------------------- But that's all I can think of. You may mock me now. In ten years, however, we may find out that the chain actually has a huge significance (It's Hoid's secret weakness or something), and I will lord over it for days.

While the Listeners are in Stormform they really aren't themselves, are they? The spren who control them probably don't care if their hosts get killed. And the Alethi probably had scouts on all sides of the army to make sure they knew if the Parshendi would try to escape/get around them. It was some Alethi scouts who found Rlain, if I'm not mistaken.
