  1. It might be right before this even; chapter feels a bit like being at the start of the 2nd book, so the interludes might be before it.
  2. I more think of microscopic lashings to close internal bleeding etc.
  3. I think the problem we face is, that we just don't know how a Radiant Windrunner can make use of his Radiant Powers as a Surgeon :-) The lashings might come in handy, though, I'ld say :-D
  4. Ha hahahaha hahahahahahahahah ;-)
  5. *mindblownbytheauthorsefforttocreate*
  6. Judged by the quality of the contributions postponement ist inevitably. So lets stop dilly/dallying and finally take action! Less than two weeks left!
  7. From the "safehand" entry in the coppermind: Nowhere is stated that these pictures are of Vorin or Alethi origin.
  8. Well well, this aged well, didn’t it?
  9. Well, Rock suggests in Chapter 12: Depends of course on the interpretation of the "here", but I read the here as "in Urithiru".
  10. Water on the cognitive plane is firm. ”Under water” in physical imho means, you have to dig to get at it in cognitive, and depending on where you sunk it, to dig massively. Nash might have been able to access Jasnah’s stuff, because it still was “in the ship”, so there might have been a “bubble of beads” around it.
  11. You might be overthinking this; I’m from half around the world and might be twice as old as you (58) and do not see this
  12. It seemed utterly in character to me Being too proud to accept help with something you think you earned anyway does really not ring this bell for me. *HUGS*
  13. Nice idea, but the role of the secretive deeply philosophical jokester is already taken by Hoid ...
  14. Obviously to be able to build computers.
  15. Yeah, NOW it is Roshar, but what next if Odium “wins” here? Perhaps it is the Ghostbloods Boss-Shard who plays the long game and wants to prepare in advance for when Odium comes for her/him next.
  16. Bear with me, I will repeat myself: Why not use the transport mechanism to channel the energy to somewhere, where a tip at the scale would be decisive? Somewhere perhaps where Shards are confronted in a stalemate. At any point in space and time where this might be the case, a burst of investiture on shardic level would be very welcome by either side.
  17. And one should take into consideration, that Shallan has so many problems with herself, that I doubt, that she has any kind of measure, when she should REALLY be surprised. Anything happens / is told what COULD worry an average person => character switch time for Shallan!
  18. Thanks for all your contributions! Obviously I was on the right track. We have a strong minority, which might not be neglected and which must be listened to. I expect according measures to be taken. ... #walksofthestagewithstraightbackthenquicklyducksandcovers
  19. I guess that was Gavilar visiting Braize bringing back the voidlight filled spheres:
  20. Publication of RoW should be postponed to November 2021 so we can have chapters once a week and actually HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT AND DISCUSS IT (just like now). Remember: Binge Reading is Hazardous to Your Health!
  21. I think that is EXACTLY the whole point! The GB want to tip the balance int the shardic struggle in favor of ... their Boss-Shard?
  22. Nuances in meaning are too often lost with me when trying to express myself in english How is “steadfast”? I just think it would be too weak.
  23. Adolin being (one of) the kindest person we have met so far on Roshar does not mean, he is not hardheaded. He stood WITH Dalinar when he was in a weak position (WoK), he stood AGAINST Dalinar when he was in his most powerful position (in refusing to become King). Bets are taken, that he would have done so even if it hadn't been his father. He believes in fashion, when hardly anybody around him does so. Now him refusing to do the strategically sound and give away his sword and become Radiant is another (perhaps the best) example. I never meant that he used his sword as tool, but that he treated it as something with a personality even before he could have know that each shardblades actually IS a person, and that this behavior stems from his interpretation of his Alethian heritage. Anyway, both of you of course might just be right :-) It is hard to discuss something containing so unsorted views as my initial posting :-D
  24. I beg to differ and even add an: On the contrary! Adolin stems from a culture, where shardblades are coveted and venerated objects. Up to a very short time in the past they where mysterious, too. People only knew that they where immensely powerful. Quite some of them where named by their owners. My point is: an Alethi like Adolin, educated for warfare, had of course a very personal relationship to his shardblade, even before he learned (less than two years earlier!!!) that they originally had been spren. Hardheaded as he is, he just refuses to change his ways of handling his sword of caring for it, just because, you know, Modern Times. It might well be, that this is the core reason, that radiancy for him is further away than for many others.
