  1. I've been reading through this thread, thinking about a little tidbit that could have some effect, and I was happy to see it fit with the WoB. We know that "static" Investiture resists interference by "foreign" Investiture (for example, Wax being able to tell Spikes and Metalminds by the difficulty to push them). Could this not be the reason that the spike interferes with Harmony's searching? I mean, we obviously don't know the details of this, but it seems fairly intuitive to me that this would be the case. To be totally clear, I'm suggesting that the unverified Shard's God Metal would contain Investiture that would make it difficult for Harmony to find. Then again, do we see this with Preservation and Ruin? Is Vin able to see the Atium when she ascends, or are they already burning it? Thoughts?
  2. Oh, that's terrifying. A knowledgeable, dedicated sadist could slowly drive an entire community mad without killing a single person or gaining any powers whatsoever... Assuming this is true, of course.

    Classic Trell

Well, looked it up for you, Paragrin, and it's interesting. Seems pretty much like Autonomy to me. Perhaps that's an intentional red herring, though.
  4. So far as we know, Copperminds can't store personality, only memories. Aluminumminds, however, may just do that. Alternately, you could just make it appear that you have different personalities all the time by storing and drawing from an Electrummind, thus being either manic or depressive on a particular day. Also, welcome to the forums, but please don't multipost. You're able to edit your posts if you need to say something new right then. Enjoy the forums!
  5. I'm gonna need something more specific.
  6. Neither of those.

  8. I'm fairly certain Duralumin effects would only last longer in relation to the world outside of the bubble (arguably objectively longer) but would last the same amount of time subjectively for the Allomancer. Now, this isn't based on hard WoB, but it fits better with what we've seen of time bubbles (and Kurkistan can correct me if I'm wrong).
  9. It is not the Stick. To answer Natc's earlier question, it is underwater.
  10. Not Cultivation or the Nightwatcher.
  11. What do you have in mind?
  12. Nope. I wish it was, but "Where the secret things grow" is not particularly significant.
  13. None of those. I'm hoping I didn't make this too vague, but I think you can still guess it from the clue.
  14. Not Szeth.
  15. Great guesses! None are correct, though.
  16. The plains were all shattered, The banners all tattered, But none of that mattered to me. I lay down below, Where the secret things grow, And I watched the unchangeable sea.
  17. Aanden's name?
  18. Raoden's disguise?
  19. The Heritage Faction's management of the "emperor issue"?
  20. Aidien?
  21. Wayne's habit of "borrowing"?
  22. Hooray! Paragrin has delivered us from a path of Steely sorrow!
  23. Yeah, I suppose it's exceptionally good for "losing" Investiture...
