  1. EDIT: I may have gotten myself carried away, so please forgive me if what is written is the spoiled section is too agressive /EDIT I would recomend lurking in the forums for a while before posting again, so you could think more before starting a topic, Eternal_Radiance. This may sound harsh, but it is for your own personal growth as a member of this community.
  2. It is said that groups of sufficiently strong rioters/soothers can do it, and nowhere was it said it wasn't still possible, it is just that they couldn't field big enough groups of mistings at the battlefield at the time to test it.
  3. Why not kill them, awaken them and tthen spike them?
  4. I think Brandon said is that Roshar is slowly "moving" westward, due to the chaotic process of erosion and sedimentation of highstorms, so this points toward crem coming from the unclaimed hills, and they still exist because they were formed from sedimentation of crem coming from the previous hills further east that have been fully eroded.
  5. Elend is obviusly a bondsmith, and Spook a dustbringer, Yomen is a Skybreaker. Kelsier is a voidbringer
  6. Yeah, in the first Stormfather scene I read him calling Kaladin "child of Taravangian", wich was seriously weird(althought there is a theory out there that his mother is a bastard daughter of a Kharbaranthian nobleman, so...)
  7. Where did Kaladin show any windrunner abilities in his hometown? If you are talking about that first fight with the other boys, it could have been just some latent combat talent plus a lucky hit, since it is clear that not all of Kaladin's talent comes from Syl. Even if you take his inability to perform simple forms after he killed her, you must remenber he was hurt, depressed and simply not focused, and he was able to kill a chasmfiend back when he was healthier and had more imediate concerns. Shallan, on the other side... I believe we were meant to believe that her childhood was much, much darker than what we saw and Shallan buried it all away, after all most mothers wouldn't kill their children for having strange powers, and most educated people know the Radiants were good once. EDIT: storming typos
  8. I was under the impression that his mind existed somewhere between the cognitive and physical, bound to the center of the highstorm, wich I suspect is also where lost ambient stormlight in condensed, and forms some sort of conection or common point between realms, wich is what allows Listeners to change forms (cognitive/spiritual change causing physical change). This realmatic joint may also allow things like Renarin's visions, since a recent WoB said that someone with strong enough allomantic atium(of levels only possible with hemalurgy) would be able to look into the cognitive realm, suggesting future sight is attained by borrowing the perceptions and minds of nearby cognitive aspects and using them to calculate the most likely outcome.
  9. Actualy, all stones are too holy to tread upon(altought with the shin that doens't make much difference) except those in Urithiru, wich are considered unhallowed(also, unhallowed stones is an awesome book title, I imagine what kind of in universe book it is) for some cultural reason.
  10. I am of the opinion that Adolin will actualy build a new life for himself while in exile, helping people wherever they need and learning how to be happy on his own, far away from his family. This will also help disperse the biased opinion that he is just a spoiled prince and allow more growth from Renarin and Dalinar. Plus, it will help introduce some characters far from Urithiru into the main plot and show us the rest of the world. Also, on a more personal note, I dislike both current Shallan ships(and Shallarin, wich died before being born), so it would be nice to introduce some concorrence. Oh, and I hope Redin(Valam's bastard) finds his way back into the plotline, since I think he would make a nice Skybreaker. Yes, it was a totaly random statement, but I wanted to say so.
  11. Of course, if the teory that all bondsmiths bond the Stormfather( hey, nowhere it says the nahel bond us always one-on-one, and the Stormfather is on his own category when it comes to powers and limitations), then you could still have Galladon complaining(also, am I the only one who noticed that his name is a perfect exemple of vorin naming conventions, even if he came from a different planet?)
  12. The way I see it, at first the oaths were not part if the magic system, and Nohadon just created a group of surgebinders that wanted to use their power responsably, and the oaths were something internal to that organization. The knights radiant as we kniow them started when Ishar magicaly forced all other surgebinders to be bound by the oaths of the organization Nohadon founded.
  13. You... Can't use compounding to strenghten allomancy. By nature what it does is to add the power you would get from preservation for allomancy into the feruchemical charge of the metal you are burning while releasing it.
  14. Also, there are ten major shardworlds. Scadrial will build spaceships. Coincidence? I think not. Now I wished I wasn't on mobile so I could post a meme of the alien guy saying "Sazed".
  15. While it might be possible to ignore the "the", the third segment is assimetrical
  16. Nohadon said he went to Urithiru, but he surely predates the KR(or at least their herald aproved incarnation, since I suspect the organization itself was funded by Nohadon and Ishar later magicaly binded all surgebinders to its principles, perhaps using the dawnshards) by at least one desolation, so I suspect the city actualy comes from the heralds or the dawnsingers.
  17. While Brandon RAFOed all questions about listeners becoming KR, he confirmed it was possible for them to become squires, even if historicaly it didn't happen.
  18. A chasmfiend could kill dozens of soldiers and toss shardbearers like ragdolls. Yeah, a Blade and some illusions are not much.
  19. I wouldn't say Marsh is more powerful than TLR, since in terms of raw allomantic strenght he gained his power directly from the Well, or at least from Lerasium, so he is probably much stronger than the avarage Inquisitor.
  20. Middle earth was supposed to be a continent in Arda, wich was supposed to be an ancient earth
  21. Remember that if there is something Roshar does not lack, it is investiture that predates the shards. As far as we know, there may be a giant godspren in each moon that keeps it from falling, wich would also explain why Odium can't just push them slightly into a fast downward spiral of certain doom.
  22. True, and the worst was that there wasn't any evidence against him: lying to a friend about a shardblade and killing your own men for one are totaly different things, he could just have denied and walked away.
  23. If their orbit is that unstable, maybe Odium plans to drop them on the planet after killing Cultivation. EDIT: Actualy, after weakening her just a little, since if he was the only shard left he could easily drop Roshar into the Sun or launch it towards Scadrial at a significant fraction of the speed of light while he goes hunt other shards.
