  1. Duraluminun could do it, with the proper anchors, but I believe it'd be much trickier than Voidus implies.
  2. Hey there Lark! I was wondering when you would post again. Ps: to the ones remembering that incident some pages ago, still no signs of wings on my back. I am disappoint.
  3. Because Voidus thinks mistborn can easily destroy tanks, I think.
  4. I think you did. After all, was there anything Khriss said that didn't confuse him?
  5. Actually, while Hoid is a Lightweaver in a sense, he has Yolish Lightweaving, which means he has something very similar to the surge of illumination, but probably not a spren or any of the other things KR of the order of the Lightweavers, or any other order, have as part of the set.
  6. Not exactly true. Shallan remarks Amaram used glyphs phonetically, making it a true script, even if one more chaotic than women's script.
  7. Uhg, don't remind me of all the horrible puns! I love Brandon's books, but IMO he is very far from being as witty as people give gim the credit for.
  8. Yes, I know how you feel. I used to like astronomy as a child, but one day I realized how depressing it is.
  9. KidWayne, awesome Non-war application. I should have thought about Windrunners using air pressure to influence weather patterns! With that and my theory that Bondsmiths can use Adhesion and Tension to liquify stormlight, no-one will call Adhesion an useless surge anymore!
  10. Mistborn: SH spoilers .
  11. It doens't help that said mistborn would be out of metals after said push, so if it didn't work perfectly, or if the tank's crew had allies, the mistborn would have a bad time.EDIT: and using steelpushes to dodge machine guns will probably not work without atium, since the mobility they provide is limited enough for the possibility of the shooter actualy managing to put some of his hundreds of bullets in the right place to be considerable.
  12. I don't think that would work without duraluminum and a lot of skill. Tanks are made to resist powerful explosives, and regular steelpushing doens't seem to be able to generate that much energy in a single burst without duraluminum.
  13. Mistborn: Secret History spoilers:
  14. I think it is public domain now(well, in portuguese it is, so it should be in english, right?), so you could just download a pdf and read the first few chapters to see if you like it. You are welcome.
  15. Please, your computer has 2 dimensions. You'd need an imaginary number of them to simulate me.EDIT: Kobold: My hallucinations told me to tell you they are more real than most people.
  16. Funny thing, this reminds me of the fact I generally can fly in my dreams, but never had a dream in which I had wings. However, I did have a weird nocturnal paralysis episode/ half-conscious hallucination in which several slender beings made of shadow watched me. Maybe they are the ones who started the merging? EDIT: Morzathoth, have you ever read Sleepwalking Land? It is set in Mozambique in the end of the civil war, and uses the merging of dreams, tales and reality to create a very strong air of lostness and surreality.
  17. @Morzathoth: feel free to do so. It is a surprisingly good hook indeed. @Delightful: well, I do have a fitting name IRL... ps: what is DoSaB? EDIT: @Morzathoth: it wasn't simply about personal space. Feeling like I need more personal space is normal to me. It was more surreal. Like... if I only noticed I had a limb after I lost it, perhaps. I... I actualy tried to poke with my pen the place one if my wings should be, while imagining as vividly as possible how it should feel like. I had a similar experience before, but it wasn't about something as... great and non-human as wings.
  18. But they do have rain! And normal thumderstorms! And I think snow is mentioned once.
  19. Today at college I felt somewhat unconfortable, because there wasn't enough space in the classroom for me to properly open my wings. This is the second time it happened. And I don't think I even have wings. What in Braize is happening?
  20. For me Chaos sounds like a deep baritone, with a hint of kindness buried deep beneath a strong sense of authoritarism. Kinda like how I imagine Dalinar's voice, in fact. Rubix sounds like Sheogorath.
  21. Honor said that to speak of what is to come is forbidden, and that was part of why he wasn't telling much. Which fits very well with the epigraph describing Truthwatchers as a very esoteric order made of oeople who never told others of their actions or thoughts.
  22. I think you are underestimating machine guns. And Mistborn are powerful, but I think duraluminun would be needed to deflect a tank's shell(is that the right word for the thing the main cannon fires?), since it is pretty fast and not very light. Yes, a mistborn could dodge using atium, and perhaps destroy the tank with proper use of duraluminum+steel, but said mistborn has a very limited supply of atium, and a badly done use of duraluminum would make him powerless.
  23. I feel a link between Skybreakers and the so-called starspren is more likely, due to their names and looks.
