My understanding is I vote Spirit here? In a Striker-is-last-Elim world, I think we're fine here since Striker cannot actually make this train particularly big enough to endanger Spirit. In V!Spirit worlds where the last Elim is in <TUN, TOW>, this should bring Spirit roughly on par with TUN and hopefully three of us are able to bring down the last Elim next cycle.

My read of this team's strategy from Penguin's behaviour is they probably didn't want to waste too much time on distancing votes in light of letting everyone else accumulate votes. I'll now proceed to be super wrong about everything Wrt TOW, I'm feeling more confident of TOW being Village beyond respecting Aet's read and the sense that TOW voted on TJ C1 resulting in the Soothe being required - especially with the Soothe going on to cause us to want TJ dead in the first place. When I look at the implications of that Soothe again, it reads to me like a forced error, and I don't see the Elims having wanted that. This means that both TOW (whose vote contributed to the need for a scramble/Soothe) and TUN (who did the off-the-bat C2 vote and early TJ push) do look good under this lens. However, I also missed this from TOW: And I question if the Elims necessarily want to add yet another vote that needs to be removed via the Soothe to the pile - it negatively affects their ability to use the Soothe to actually create havoc or to save a teammate if necessarily. This is right after the TOW vote on TJ C1 already started the whole problem to begin with. So I think I've persuaded myself into V!TUN, V!TOW. I'll probably relook Spirit tomorrow later as I've medical again but won't be averse to putting a vote or two on Spirit to make sure he's easier to remove if we have to go into another cycle. Not sure it makes a difference, but @The Unknown Order yo you're my mech guy, does it help or not?

As expected, here we go again. @The Unknown Order @ThatOneWorldhopper @Lord Spirit What d'you all reckon, is it worth trying to get a side-train on our second Elim candidate, or just work with the solo world? I think Striker is screwed regardless but I don't want a situation where we're stacking too many votes onto the secondary train. My read atm is the most Striker can Soothe is 2 votes via one off TUN, or one off TOW, meaning he has an effective 6 votes. The only side-train here that could in theory block something is on TUN (Striker Soothes to 6, and TUN accumulates 5 votes, so we shouldn't concentrate regardless.) Striker for the moment. I guess one alternative is we could distribute votes a bit more but leave Striker in the lead. Thinking aloud. Edited to add: Wait a minute. @A Jo in the Bush what the heck is Alv doing in there >>

Based off my current credences, probably, but I don't really feel that's a likely world and don't want to put too much energy into it until/unless the game doesn't end when both Striker and Spirit flip. Go back to Village!Striker - if he is, what are TJ's teammates doing? If it wasn't for Striker bailing TJ out C2, does this mean they kind of just accept a TJ flip is gonna happen? (You could argue it was me but I was already on RBM so my vote was effectively 'locked' - TJ needed one more to be saved.) There's probably an argument that if Spirit flips V, and the game still hasn't ended, I should just redo my entire set of reads, in which case the only one I'm likely to strongly preserve is Polly, followed by maybe TUN. I could be talked into seeing TOW as Elim but if we're taking the direct approach, that D1 vote on TJ put TJ into trouble and needed a Soothe. You could say it was distancing, and to some extent, if Striker flipped V (specifically in this world), we are probably looking for something unexpected that happened so that might be one revision point. Edited to add: Either way, prioritisation and all that. I'm not minded to open avenues at the moment when we still have to follow the basic order of operations so as to speak.

Yeah. We basically have to converge by this point - too many bad sidetrain shenanigan problems for which I partially accept responsibility. I didn't want to admit it because it was embarrassing but I missed Striker's switch on D2 because I paranoided about a Polly/RBM E/E world and then...got distracted by a WWE clip hyping yesterday's match and by the time I came back, stuff was over. I don't wanna reping TOW to vote, so we'll see the situation later. There are probably three main cases here: A. Striker flips Elim, the game ends. B. Striker flips Villager. We then need to worry about 1-2 mafs. C. Striker flips Elim, the game doesn't end. Worlds B and C are similar somewhat in treatment in that I'm not sure Polly and TUN should be revised off the bat. So that's a fancy way of saying "yeah Spirit but I'll probably look at all the votes regardless to do my best." This ignores the Mercy shot but anyway the Mercy shot just prolongs it so we just rinse and repeat. Eat, sleep, vote Striker Anyway from Striker's behaviour, it's possible it's a three-player team. That's prima facie fine because a typical all-regular 15 game has 3 Elims, and this one has the Mercy and 16 isn't that far off. I just don't believe we should assume a 3-world because a 4-world is possible and it's better to be overprepared (and then we laugh at ourselves) than underprepared/underestimate this team. I'm leaving some guesses for someone else. I'll try again if there's more left when I'm back.

I think you PMed the wrong person. I just replied to a PM from Striker and I don't have any from you But it's also no big deal, we've never used a mod for impromptu thread hangman games. As a brief serious aside: I will concede I still read you as Village but my reads have been off all game. I could maybe see Triple B but it's risky/weird for Triple B to be calling for an extra Penguin vote in the opposite valence from Striker last cycle - the Elims needed a Penguin Night Massacre and blocking it isn't really great for them. That being said, if I really went with my sincere reads: Light Village: Polly, TUN Village Probably: TOW, Triple B Would Like To Think Village: Spirit I felt a bit eh about your run and dump TUN vote but it's honestly kinda at the point where it's PoE for me. Polly and TUN, and to a lesser extent, TOW did really Villagery things. I trust Aet on Triple B more than I trust me on Triple B but if forced to revise (assuming the game doesn't end after Striker dies and you flip Village), I'd probably rethink Triple B over TOW but I am absolutely refusing to revise anyone in a higher tier until we get there.
