New around here; the Roughs were getting rough
Left replied to Titan Arum's topic in Introduce Yourself!
Welcome friend! Take an upvote for being a newcomer and having a great intro title I would avoid that cookie, but I can give you doughnuts instead. I assume your a mistborn fan? Like me? -
As Lefty had watched the proceedings of the Newcago Court of late he had noticed a large amount of flaws within the structure of the court, and despite his past efforts, hadn't been able to fully rectify them. Lefty had decided that it was time to start making some waves throughout the 17 lands, it was time for empire, it was time to increase the power of the court. Many would be worried about the changes, however Lefty's loyalty to the twin throne was complete, no harm would occur there. It was time to start expanding the borders of the Court beyond Newcago itself. "A new land will be added to Newcago this day. The Twin Thrones rise to empire will start, and will continue as long as there are knights and nobles loyal to the Court." It had take a long time to make the proper preparations and hours of negotiations with his brothers in the Sith Empire to make sure that his plans would succeed. Lefty had had to order in a miniature power plant from his home planet, find a suitable place to build the new capital of the province, bring in the proper materials, and of course, get the correct papers signed. Lefty had chosen a place on a small hill on the borders of the dessert that BT had built his tower in. It was close to Spice, fairly close to the court, and most importantly allowed him an easy pathway into the cosmos if he felt like it. He would also connect the Royal Archives(not a library) through a portal to his new personal library. There was also a large doughnut factory nearby, and plans for a huge kitchen within the new base allowing the Baron to eat and cook to his stomach's content. Lefty quickly dashed up to the top of the hill and pulled back his right sleeve. He had a newly constructed gauntlet that would give him control of the base, once it was built. The Scholar fiddled with a few buttons, and then waited for a few minutes. A Sith cargo ship flew in depositing a metalic box about 15 cubits high and the same across. Lefty grinned, it was time for the fun to begin. The Scholar started making various swipes, prods, and other gestures at the box. It started to deconstruct, appearing like a blacksmith's puzzle, turning into the various materials of the complex buildings. Once that was complete Lefty stared at the massive mess left before him. He stared REALLY hard. Like SUPER HARD. HARDER THAN A TWO RIVERS PERSON'S STUBBORNNESS. Suddenly the huge, gothic, sci-fi, ancient, brand-new, awesome fortress appeared. "And they say that stared at stones don't stack themselves." The main part of the fortress was a library of course, with various other wings, stables, landing pads, training grounds, dungeons, the powerplant, and the fashion demanded walls and gates. On the top of the library, on one of its highest tower, hung a massive banner with the NC crest. Hanging from the front of the building hung both a banner with TASTY, and one with a Sith crest overlayed with two large handguns. The main door had "GunSmoke" burned into it, naming Lefty's home planet, and new barony.

Hey Welcome friend! Take an upvote and a doughnut:) Which was you're favorite mistborn?
-
Dominant eye. The only projectile weapon that I know of that you're supposed to use both for is a blowgun.

I was going to Khriss this thread goodbye, but the allure was pushing on me too much. I Syl can't look at these without dying a little inside.

Love it mate!!!! I think you should finish up tWoK and then move on to warbreaker, even though it's not my favorite I can see so many good jokes and stuff there. I agree with Kurk about SafeAbs
-
I honestly liked tangled more. Frozen was good, but there was too much exposition and stuff I felt. Now Oaloff turned out to be waaaaaaaay better than I thought he would be just from the trailer, but he still doesn't match up to the various brigands and Flynn.

How to Shatter a Shard: A Theory and Guide in 6 Easy Steps
Left replied to Curiosity's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Doesn't mean that the theory won't work, it sounds effective to me. The problem is that we don't know if that will splinter the shard, just that it will kill the shardholder. -
Nah, we don't need to do that, we all know the answer is Babaji and Vashrikan.

I would love to see a ponified version of Chaos though, someone make it just so that we can have a good laugh And Kurk while you're at it

There's many paths to the top, in fact you can almost classify them as individual Class's. There's the Pony epic class, heavy on bad/cheap jokes, memes, and satire. There's the Theorizer, no-nonsense, really awesome research, nit-picking over WoB, and the possibility of getting 20-30 rep per really good theory. There's the musician or artist or fanfiction writer, they make stuff in real life and then share it on here. Then there's the path of the true no-lifer, you spend all day everyday finding things to post on every topic, hoping that something will gain you rep. Then there's the hybrid who does some theorizing, some humour, some roleplaying, and posts fairly often. I took the path of Hybrid and I joined in April ish and have since risen to number 23 on the top fifty. The ponies rise faster, but their rep is arguably less earned. Theorizers take forever to really gain rep, just because it takes a long time to create really good theories that no one else has already figured out. There is the sense of true accomplishment from your theories though. Musicians/Artists/Writers can rise quickly, but so far most of ours aren't very active so their rep is still in the low hundreds. I will invite you to join the Newcago Court down in Social Clans and Guilds, joining the pseudo rp threads helps your rep some and is just a lot of fun. Edit: And seriously!!!! Kobold is only about 150 away from Brandon guys, something is wrong................

I'm not really surprised at any of those points, especially the contrived plots. I've been having a braize of a time trying to figure out whether to just go all out non-sense or try and actually knit it down and it's not at all easy. It's more just a fun side project between me and a friend so don't worry about having another one come at you. Thanks for telling me the name of it though, it's been kind of hard because I don't have a title for it and so there's no good way of thinking of how to define it and stuff.

*Stealthily hands the chaos lords summaries because they're too erratic to take their own boot cursed notes*

Welcome friend! Take an upvote Incredibly wise of you to evade the cookies, might I offer you some Newcago doughnuts and a glass of milk?
-
Mayhaps Hoid using his big event finder abilities?
-
I would say that 3 is the correct number. I'm opposed to Adolin being a Radiant, I would rather him and Navani continue learning about Fabriels and finding super awesome ways of using them. Fabriel tank or fighter plane anyone?
-
Alcatraz is indeed categorized as a youth book, but don't let that stop you! It's some of his best work
-
Welcome friend and take an upvote and a batch of Newcago doughnuts! I seriously recommend Alcatraz, it's a amazing series for adults and some of the greatest kids books ever.
-
Sell. I am a Chull!!!! Chull dung will be used as a cooking ingredient once again
-
Yep, now we decide on the next game to create. I'm going to propose Capital Cities of cosmere, maybe of earth books if we need extras.
-
Welcome, and you should really try Newcago's doughnuts and Icing. I too would choose steel because speed is just so awesome
