I don't think that anyone can deny the fact that Atilium has probably the safest goods around here
-
Sorry about that, we're members of various guilds/societies/clans in that section of the forums and we make it a point to offer our individual baked goods to all newcomers. Voidus puts Spikes in his, I put a bit of spice in mine, the Herd will give you muffins, and The Wafflesworn will give you various types of highly dangerous waffles. As Purelake said, we have nothing absolute about what's going on with Nightblood and how he's been moving around. Supposedly there's enough stuff about what happened for a book, but Brandon's not interested in writing that right now. It might just come out through WoB's.

What would you do if you had a shard for one day
Left replied to TheSilverDragon's topic in Introduce Yourself!
I would be dominion and resurrect the dinosaurs, redefine a lot of nation's borders and governments, eat my doughnuts, and learn all earthling languages. -
I always find it so amusing when QC targets a new person to flirt at. It's always the newest, most active, and semi-powerful person to join a guild
-
You already spiked it though?...........

Hrrrmmmph! Anywya, welcome friend! Take an upvote

Welcome friend! Take an upvote, a doughnut, and a spike proof vest I'm assuming since you mentioned Szeth and everyone's favorite talking sword you know at least the basic premises of the cosmere?

Oh, it was quite intentional Death Note was my second manga, and I really enjoyed how much it made me think and question things. Now the anime was way too over dramatized and I thought that both L and Light were poorly portrayed.

Because of course the real reason that there's a "dark lord" is all purely economic.

Luke Skywalker is played by Mark Ham(mil). Star Wars is now Disney. Disney just collided with Cosmere. Cosmere has Ham(mond). Coincidence? I storming well think not!!!!!

If Other Authors Wrote the Cosmere Novels
Left replied to Fatebreaker's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Agreed. The Imager Portfolio, which is one of my favorite non-cosmere series to date, is written in the firs person. It's by L.E. Modesitt, so the writing isn't great, but compared to- ugh- I can't even say that book by Roth, it's absolutely Rothfusian.- 163 replies

There was a thread on this a while back, can't seem to find it at the moment though. Ranger's Apprentice is a very successful, and actually very enjoyable, teen series that feels a ton like fantasy, but actually doesn't have a single drop of magic in it.

This reminds of this facebook group that kept getting recomended to me, it was called Fanvergent. It's for all the people from the fandoms of doctor who, sherlock, divergent, hunger games, harry potter, and stuff.

Racial Stereotyping In Fantasy: Is It Justified?
Left replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I didn't expect to have a serious discussion on Redwall on here at any point, but you did bring up interesting points. It's been a long time since I've read any of the books but as a counter point to what you said above I'd like to say this. In the Bellmaker (I think that's the book, can't remember for sure) there are two ferrets(?) who get captured from their ship and taken to the abbey. One of the ferrets, the captain of the ship, stays evil and eventually ends up trying to kill several animals. The other ferret, when he arrives tries to fit in with the animals of Redwall and becomes a really great carpenter who hangs with all the little animals. The 2nd ferret is, as far as I remember, the only "bad" animal that ever truly turns to the good side. Now I'm not sure what point I'm trying to make, just though that I'd put in the counter instance for the Redwall books. P.S. I just remembered. In Mossflower the evil cat's brother and his wife are both good cats, and their descendant and the owl from Redwall are both neutral good/ chaotic neutral. -

I wondered if you would remember by glasses and buttons. Those were quite fun when they were unique, but now they're so common that it's hard to take a step without having them under foot. Generally speaking, any alley way that I'm in doesn't remain dark for long, I quite like sunlight and light in general so I prefer to light up my alleys. One cannot undergo harsh experiences without them leaving their scars. I quickly think of slavery when confronted with an enemy, and you remember my spikes.

If stormlight archive was the wheel of time
Left replied to king of nowhere's topic in Stormlight Archive
Then the keys to the dark one's prison would actually be weapons and useful and would give ordinary people powers. The wind is actually a highstorm. The breaking and the tainting of Saiden were all caused by the male Ai'sedai breaking their oaths. Padan Fain wouldn't have had a dissapointing demise. Perrin wouldn't be a wolf brother, he'd be either a axehound bro or a whitespine bro. The continent of madness would actually appear in the books.
