Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow. On the other nights I'll watch some anime on netflix.

I finished Mitch Albom's The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto. It was beautiful, it was by far my favorite Albom book since Tuesday's with Morie. I'm listening to Crime and Punishment on cd, it's going pretty slowly right now though. Still waiting for my copy of Bands of Mourning.

I preordered it, and last I checked, Amazon still hasn't shipped it

Or era 1.5. Sanderson has used both, so it's really a matter of preference right now.

*shrug* I know. I don't know how representative I am of even the lds kids in my general area, you can look back at a post I made two pages ago to see that. If some other people want to share their experiences that might help. Some of my dates so far have been a mini golf corn maze and dinner, a baseball game, going to see Star Wars, and a board game night. I think that a lot of what goes into making the date different from just hanging out is our expectations, which I think are still similar to the norm, even if structure is different. I'd be happy to send you guys pms with the general guidelines the church gives youth and continue the discussion there so we don't drive the topic too far off. -

First, I agree that it's not the best rule. Dating for Mormon youth is designed to be very friendly and not as serious as normal dating. It can be really hard to tell the difference between our double dates and just several friends hanging out. The point being to encourage us away from situations where, to borrow a phrase from Pratchett, anything hanky panky might happen. In practice, the general guidelines work really well. Sometimes parents themselves can make things a hassle, but that's different. -

So I'm ready to start planning a valentines date, or rather double date. I got three problems. 1. The girl I want to ask has a parental rule that she's not supposed to go out with the same person twice in a row(not that unusual for Mormon kids really) and I've already bent that rule, and I don't think anyone else has asked her out since the last time we had a date. 2. The other guy that would be part of it isn't great with planning dates, I've doubled with him before. If I can mastermind it all then I will and it'll be way less stress. 3. I figured the Peanuts movie would be a great movie for us to watch, it's clean, fun, and romantic. It doesn't come out on dvd till march. I'm struggling to come up with another movie thatd work so well. -
Words of Brandon. WoB's are answers to questions that Brandon has given. There are also WoP's, Words of Peter, which are much much rarer, but still very valuable.

Orson Scott Cards final book in the Alvin Maker series. As much as I loathed parts of that series, I really want to see the end. Michael Carrol's Superhuman/Quantum prophecy finale. Tad Williams new Osten Ard books New Timothy Zhan Star Wars books to explore the new EU

I really liked Runelords one, but didn't much like the next three. I'm not sure whether there's a consensus on how much people like the different books, but I think I might be in the minority.

I just meant Furies of Calderon, it's been on my shelf for almost a month. I have a harder time getting around to reading paper backs(which is what my copy of it is) than hardcovers, which are what the rest of the books I've been reading have been.

How was it? It's one of my favorite books Yeah, I need to put my pre-order for BoM in soon. Haven't really had time to read much since I finished Temeraire 6. I Really should get around to reading Alera, maybe I'll be able to read it quickly over the weekend.

I would add that I find reading manga online incredibly painful. I either buy it or try and get it through my library. I would recommend you try both, see what you prefer. For manga, DEFINITElY Death Note. I really disliked the anime, but it's manga is very very good. Kekkaishi is an excellent, if long series. Be warned, this might seem odd, but I've found fanservice to be worse in manga than anime. This might just be me, but it feels like it's more even more pervasive in manga.

I recommend Trigun, either Fullmetal Alchemist series( Brotherhood is more violent, but also better imo), Angel Beats, and Silver Spoon. The first two are superb series that have cool action, excellent plots, and good characters. The second two are high school comedies basically, but very good, very very funny, and quite likely to reduce you to tears. Edit: currently I'm watching Ruruoni Kenshih. The dub/translation isn't very good on Netflix, but I'm enjoying it as kind of a historical version of Trigun.

What are you playing right now?
Left replied to Link Von Kelsier Harvey's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I've never played an ES game, but from what I've heard from the people who take the time to play morrowind, it is the best. I've almost wrapped up my play through of Baldurs Gate with my bard. I'm very familiar with the game( I've sunk 160 hours in) so it's been fun to power game and focusing on having fun and role playing instead of focusing on plot goals. I've been playing some Mario kart double dash with my sister too, I'd forgotten how fun it can be. I'm thinking about replaying either KotoR or a Batman Arkham game. I'm also almost certainly going to buy the original Deus Ex game next time it's on sale. -

Got pulled over, failure to yield on a left turn. It was close enough that it felt a lot like getting pulled over for doing 61 in a 55. It was close enough that sure I could be pulled out for, but you wouldn't expect it. Only got a warning, which was really good. Mums Pretty ticked at me though. A lot more than when my sister got pulled over for running a red :/ I think that's what bothers me really. She had a fun story to go with it, mine was just a regular traffic thing, feeling a little stressed. -

My brother! Yep, this is the path I've taken. Right now, the girl that I really like is already in a relationship, but I'm closer and am officially her male girlfriend It's a little odd. That being said, it also means that I can be interested in other girls. -
I've almost finished The Black Prism It's amazing It's about on par with McClellan for content, but I like it more. This is really good. It's so much more readable than anything else I've read lately. There's about ten days left till Mistborn 6....I'm gonna hold off on Wexler, it's too big. I'm either going to start Codex Alera, read a novel by Scalzi, or get to the next Temeraire.
