    When, as a female person, it gets to be lunch/dinner time and you wish you lived in Alethi society so you could have women's food (i.e. something sweet) and it would be totally normal.* *Everytime I tell someone I've had ice cream or frozen yogurt for lunch, they look at me funny.

    Ditto that. We had some "toy" bows that my dad and his brothers played with in the late 50's. My own brother and I used to set up this big styrofoam target in the backyard and go to town. They weren't very sophisticated, but I've always love the idea of archery.

    As for me, the closest I come is a scalpel used for various craft projects. My husband has two katanas, though they live in a closet and aren't out for viewing.

    Keep reading. If you enjoy the first couple, they get much better as the series goes along. I just started reading Frankenstein for the first time the other day. I've also been making my way through the Rogues anthology. I got Frankenstein on my old kindle (one of the earlier versions from back in 2011) because it was super cheap and convenient. I've been carting around the actual book for Rogues. I've liked the stories in it thus far, and I have yet to get to Rothfuss or Gaiman yet, which are the two authors I was most looking forward to. (Edit for silly typos.)

    Maybe the third time is the charm? We just watched the best episode the other day (from season four) - The Mane 6 plus Spike get sucked into a comic. Absolute genius.

    The more I think about it the less I like the idea of couples....unless we did one of all the men and one of all the women, separately, and then whoever won the two brackets at the end got stuck together (like a terrible game show)! Or not. I actually like the idea of the interlude characters, personally. (Sorry I've been MIA between the long weekend and crazy work, which will hopefully permit a little more forum participation today.)

    It's good you're planning for things now, too. So sorry you have to suffer with these! A friend of mine gets them and has tried so many different medications. It's very frustrating. I hope these have a shorter duration than in the past! That definitely qualifies as bad! You have my sympathies as well! I hope you can focus on the good memories and come out the other side of mourning with those in mind.

    If it were purely licking (like a nice friendly dog lick), that would be one thing. Bloodshed involved? Outright terrifying. Speaking of which, we should probably reconsider this bodyguard stuff happening over in the Dark Alley thread. Apparently we bit off more than we bargained for? Or so TwiLyghtSans has pointed out. Nightblood is one scary equine epic! It sounds like someone even of Pinkie Pie's high caliber would have a tough time with him if he turned on us. And if he turned on someone else, are we really okay with these questionable and unfriendly actions?!

    Maybe we of the Herd (not counting you, TwiLightSans, you definitely do your homework), should do more thorough background checks in the future. Apparently, a lot Happened in Oregon.

    I don't know... Nighthound seems like he could have a nice team of additional bodyguards under his control at any time. If Voidgaze were the Herd bodyguard, she'd probably be too occupied with whatever she likes to do back in her mansion to actually serve properly. Nighthound is definitely scary, but he's got the right skills. Besides, don't underestimate the power of friendship...and magic. Don't forget the magic.
