    In no particular order: I also liked the new episode quite a bit. I found it funny that I immediately knew what the connection was the Doctor was trying to make , but meanwhile my husband sat there with a puzzled look on his face. We had to pause it for me to remind him of the past episode. I really hope Clara's personality continues to get fleshed out. She's always been spunky, but it will be good to see her come into her own. Backing up a little, we watched the last Matt Smith Christmas special and the new episode back-to-back.

    I can't begin to imagine what that might be like (yet), but it already has me thinking I'll need to stock up on paper bags not for school lunches but for breathing whenever our future kids start with all that. *shudder * Good luck!

    I do that, too, but I find my associations are closer to those of Curiosity's here. It was strange to make a color list for me because my associations are stronger to personalities and my like/dislike of the number, like you've said.

    That's also the way it is in our office with GoT. The two ladies I mentioned have both caught up with the books for GoT, and there's an attorney in our office who just watches the show (I've never heard him talk about reading books, those or otherwise. Think he's too busy playing golf in his free time!), so maybe that's the difference, that they're all now looking for new things to read! Wait out your coworkers reading GoT. Maybe by the time they get caught up the next SA novel will be out and you can promote not just two but three books!

    By the way, animal lovers, new episode of Too Cute! comes on tonight (at least in the States)! You know you have it bad when you tear up and "awwww" your whole way just through the advertisement.

    *groan * I know what you mean. I don't loose all the normal things, like my keys, but I'm forever putting something important in a "safe place" so I will not lose it, and then promptly forget where that is. I do that ALL the time. And about once a week I look around and think I really need to straighten up by getting rid of things, but it never happens. I'm not a hoarder, but my style of organization is piles in strategic places in my house (a side table downstairs, my bedroom dresser, some filing bins that never get emptied out). Yes, that one! It's a shout out to an old Original Series Star Trek - Trouble with Tribbles. The downside to working in a law firm is we have deadlines. So people like to ignore the deer-in-headlights look on your face in favor of making sure something is done like yesterday. I just need to survive the next week and the new girl will start, thank goodness!

    You know, I never tried associating colors with numbers, but I've always felt they each had their own personalities. A few years ago some friends and I were talking about a musician we all like, Andrew Bird, and synesthesia because he uses it in his song writing. It made me realize I make associations, too, if to a lesser degree. So, here's my list after some brief thought: 0 - white 1 - tan/yellow 2 - aqua/turquoise blue 3 - red 4 - green 5 - maroon 6 - orange 7 - blue 8 - purple 9 - orange again, oddly enough I've never worked with Cuisenaire rods before, so this is purely my brain's work. Curiosity, looks like we overlap on 2 and 8!

    She and another lady, who do read fantasy stuff from time to time, saw me carrying WoR in and out of the office back in March, and I really hyped it up for them. Now the other lady just needs to find some time to read the series! I'm sorry there's no one in your office to bring into the Sanderfold. Do you know of anyone who likes that kind of book?

    Hopefully the episode "The Problem with Parasprites" isn't too far off in your future! Or who knows, maybe it's been on TV since you wrote that? I can only hope. How are the party plans going?! My rant for the today: GAHHHH!!!! Our office can not hire someone quick enough to pick up the pieces of all I'm trying to do. Two of the other ladies (there are only three of us total) in my department are battling debilitating illnesses, which is bad enough, but that means I'm doing the work of 2-2.5 people (depending on whether they work part of a day or are out the whole day). I think the new hire starts in early September. Hurry up, September!!
