  1. Sell. What I think will happen is that it will be set up as the biggest, most groundbreaking event in the Cosmere's history... but then we'll find out that something completely different and obscure was infinitely more important.
  2. Buy. Because how could it not. But here's my sell: in the 3rd Mistborn, we will see some of this crazy stuff.
  3. "Stand back--the characters I'm reading about are armed, and not afraid to send every one of you pieces of crem to Damnation itself. That's right, I said get back!"
  4. Why the embarassment? It's a sign of physical prowess. It is more likely tp attract a mate or frighten predators than it is to embarass anyone.
  5. "Would you like to destroy a spam--" "YES. YES I WOULD."
  6. Spam bots, spam bots, On the forum everywhere, Downvote, downvote, Everybody do your share. Posted before but might as well have a permanent place for this call to arms.
  7. Awesome again. You're living up to your name far better than I am. (No kobolds have yet sworn fealty to me...) Also, you're a Twinborn now... still a Scadrian, probably in need of a profession.
  8. It can probably be done, but none of the staff is online. Probably because it's Saturday. GASP. The spam bots have learned our culture and have exploited our weakness!
  9. Sad. Even when it comes out next year, those who have read the book will have to keep their mouths shut about later portions of the text. (Also, I barely saw this amongst all the dark magic spam posts. Moderators, why have you forsaken us? Has there been a Staff Recreance? )
  10. I may or may not sing "Hot Potato" while cooking sometimes.
  11. See you when you get back! Any rough estimate on when we can expect to see your treachery you again?
  12. Huzzah! I can quit censoring the mere words "Dayside" and "Darkside". And having it finally published as a graphic novel will be, as a wise Rosharan once said, awesome.
  13. I WANT STORMLIGHT BOBBLEHEADS. MAKE IT HAPPEN, TEAM SANDERSON.
  14. No... we just raised the steaks.
  15. In my defense, I watch so many British TV shows that I don't notice accents anymore. But yeah, I'm familiar with the Wiggles. They're probably the only reason I know left from right (your left hand makes a letter "L" when you hold it up! Amazing!)
  16. I can read books for most scholarly pursuits. I'm not really into the idea of fighting. Hmmm... Ah, of course! Cooking class with Rock.
  17. I know we've been through this sort of thing before, but... THE WIGGLES ARE AUSTRALIAN??
  18. I am disgusted, but there's a part of me, screaming in denial, that knows I'm going to upvote you as soon as my quota refills.
  19. I guess we could just keep a standard rule in mind. "Never meet any other Sharder in a dark alley."
  20. Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you're looking for Cosmere 101. Which, as it happens, is the name of a topic created just so new users could be brought up to date on Cosmere knowledge, so lucky for you. And don't think you're duller than normal for not figuring this out on your own. I'd be completely clueless if it weren't for the 17th Shard and the wiki. Again, welcome and happy worldhopping!
  21. Oh yeah... must have intentionally forgotten about that one just so I could sleep at night. Wait a minute. Copperminds as Feruchemical brain bleach!
  22. Kurkistan, I hope there's still plenty of room on the "People to Avoid in Dark Alleys" list. I swear, this thread shines a spotlight on the darkest aspects of us all.
  23. Haha. That's funny. As if he needed a Shard...
  24. Maybe he found a way to trigger Returning deliberately? Then he could have (somehow) used copperminds to fill in the memory gaps. Copper Compounding, maybe? In any case, I'd be curious to see if a Feruchemist Returned could access previous copperminfs.
  25. I feel bad since you keep posting questions I can't answer... I haven't seen all the Writing Excuses episodes, and I'm usually pretty detached from modern movies. Have an apologetic waffle. If you're looking for other works of fiction featuring AIs, I can point you towards I, Robot by Isaac Asimov, 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke, and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert Heinlein. Those are all written by the three most influential sci-fi writers of the 20th century, show if you haven't read them all I'd definitely recommend doing so.
