  1. Sorry you're sick. Illness really sucks. Hope you feel better soon. How 'bout this: Backtrack notices Game's eyes light up with eagerness when he hears what his power is. They hear shouting from the other room so Game goes to investigate; Backtrack doesn't want to be left alone and follows him, stepping into the room while Reader's pants are down. Does that sound like about what you were thinking? My brother thinks it's "Not wise to marry someone you've never met, especially if you know her only through her sister whom you've also never met," so there's a Best Man title open to you. at the wedding. All that's set in stone is that the state's doomed. We'll figure out the rest as we go.
  2. Kittens make Funtimes' of us all. Here's a rare clouded leopard cub: And here's... something. I don't even know.
  3. I'm pretty sure the second one is the model Pugzilla was Photoshopped from. I should carry a pug sign around in public, so I can flash it at anyone I espy being polite. Or at pretty much anyone, really. CALM AND RATIONAL EDIT: OMIGOSH THAT LEOPARD KITTY IS SO CUTE AND BLUE-EYED AND STRIPEY I WANT ONE.
  4. Here's a pug picture for your politeness: I'll get a Backtrack post up soon.
  5. Like we need to be told to Fear The Shambling Undead Horde Intent On Devouring Human Flesh?
  6. Would you like him on a boat? Would you like him with a goat?
  7. Not an idea I entirely disapprove of--I think you could do some really neat things with a memory manipulator--I just think it's unnecessary for Red. Like I said, High Epics die all the time. If a normal human kills one it makes news, but if the killer is an Epic it's considered normal. Even if it was public knowledge that Red was the culprit, most Epics probably still wouldn't have heard of her. I don't think celebrity would come to Red unless she deliberately sought it out.
  8. Again, it doesn't really seem necessary to give her character a new power. Even "minor" memory manipulation like you're talking about radically alters her profile. Turning her into one of the Silence changes a lot about her, and she's pretty cool as she is. Adding more and more powers well after her introduction just confuses things, in my opinion. I think it would be better to make a new character if you're keen on RPing a memory manipulator.
  9. Eh... I don't see how she'd end up as famous. Epics kill / serve other Epics all the time--she's not that special in that regard. While the new suggested power is cool, I think that would be a bit too much of a retcon. Nothing she's said or thought so far even remotely indicates she has such a power. Hopefully this doesn't sound harsh or mean-spirited--I just woke up, so maybe I'm not at my most politic--but don't really see this kind of retcon as a good idea. It'd be like suddenly giving Funtimes the power to control fire: cool, but unforeshadowed and wholly unnecessary.
  10. "I now pronounce you Spaghetti and Meatball!" ...I guess?
  11. Tell your sister that a creepy kobold guy from the Internet wants her hand in marriage now.
  12. I think it's almost certain that the koloss have some form of religion. If I recall correctly from The Alloy of Law, there's a story from Jak the Allomancer that mentions their complete unwillingness to harm a Terrisman steward. I always took that to imply some level of reverence, though there are other possibilities. It sickens me to say it, but koloss-blooded may come about in a similar manner as the half-orcs in some D&D settings--"wanting" to mate may not have anything to do with it.
  13. Shall we consider this as one of the possible timelines the RP could follow, then?
  14. If Reader raises his voice in the next post, Edgedancer and I could justify bringing Game and Backtrack into the waiting room to see what's going on.
  15. Wait--that song with the line "the dawn's early light" is part of the national anthem? #KoboldIsTheWorstAmerican
  16. Edgerunner could actually be one of the founding members of the army--she could walk away from the destruction of The Dalles intent on protecting the rest of Oregon, and could go about contacting as many halfway benevolent Epics as she can. A transition from the snarky City Guard lackey to the battle-scarred leader of an army of Epics would be an interesting character arc for her, theoretically speaking.
  17. You know what would be dreadfully ironic? If the number of nice Epics helped bring about the fall of Oregon more quickly. Being less motivated by self-interests, a scenario might arise that causes the nicer characters to form a massive army of Epics with the intent of protecting the state... but end up destroying it during battles with Lucentia, dark!Paladin, and Sunburst instead.
  18. I hope for full redemptive arcs for Flashpoint and Edgerunner, even if I know they're unlikely to happen.
  19. Pangaea is very cool. Especially with the desertification effect that would take place over the continent's interior--it'd be like a donut of culture. You know, 'cuz all the life would be on the coasts and nothing would live in the center. Why not write about superintelligent dinosaurs living in the Triassic period?
  20. Presumably, yes. About to do battle with the Panda, who's come to save his homeland from the squash-faced menace.
  21. Or, the person in the picture is ninja!Sam, who's about to ride Pugzilla into battle against an army of Epics.
  22. Also, can I draw your collective attention to this image? Time for a WHOOC post, I think.
  23. I'm interested in the precise backstory around Ty, if you're not adverse to giving it. Did he get killed during Edge's Rending?
  24. Plot twist: the cops are Sanderfans too. They arrest Brandon and shove him in a jail cell with us, trusting us to wheedle information out of him.
