  1. You can't forget this gem--"On whether any of his novels are set in the same universe." I'd be tempted to remind everyone that Google is your friend, but unfortunately the people who ask these most basic of questions aren't involved enough in the fandom to read this post. I try not to let people asking questions as basic as this annoy me, but my eye always twitches at the lost opportunity. You could have asked anything, and you unwittingly asked the equivalent of "George R. R. Martin, would you ever kill off a main character?"
  2. From talking with other Reckoners fans, we've compiled our own master list of questions. It turned out larger than I'd imagined it'd be--25 questions--but any one of the questions here would help us out a lot. (This list contains a couple of spoilers for Firefight. If you haven't read Firefight but would still like to ask a Reckoners question, just ask and I'll get you a version with the spoilers abridged out.) I wish to reiterate my thanks to anyone who's willing to help us out. You're awesome.
  3. An interesting idea. Though Dallesport has about a dozenth of the population of The Dalles, and it's located in Washington, not Oregon. Though they're located just six miles away... perhaps Vondra could employ Shiny Sparkle and other new arrivals in town to carve out a new City Guard outpost there? Part of The Dalles' story arc could thus involve the city drawing attention to itself in a desire to expand, and Dallesport could center around invading Epics led by Shiny Sparkle attempting to wrest the city from the Epics that already control it. As just a random idea off the top of my head, of course.
  4. The sad thing is, he doesn't know enough about Reader to appreciate how awesome that is.
  5. Well, I'm pretty much limited now to the characters already in play in Portland or The Dalles, so I wouldn't be able to join any new thread. So there's be no worry of me filling it up, at least.
  6. Ooh, I like that headcanon. I've thought for a while now that Zecora must have been driven out of her homeland for something--maybe it was her sorcery. And maybe her rhyming is an archaic style of speech, like Luna's ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE. I'm in a complicated position season-wise. I've seen most of the first two seasons, but I haven't watched any episodes in order. I've seen handfuls of episodes ranging from the first season to the fourth, so there are still quite a few episodes in every season I haven't seen yet.
  7. That's not necessarily a bad idea. If we get very many more people, The Dalles will be completely overrun--I'm already having trouble keeping up with everybody there.
  8. It's welcome to all--though just to be clear, it's set in the Oregon city of The Dalles rather than the Texan city of Dallas. The protocol to join is simply to post your Epic's profile on the Question thread, either making the weakness public here or PMing it to TwiLyghtSansSparkles. Can't wait to see you in the city!
  9. As long as you don't spill all her valued secrets in front of guests, of course. I just realized that under this paradigm, TwiLyght is a matter-manipulating, teleporting Soother with a resurrection PI.
  10. The anniversary of my joining the site passed without me taking notice. Nonetheless, I've now been here for just over a year.

@Edge: According to Google... 31.2 upvotes per day. Calamity but I love the Internet. :D

@Voidus: Thanks! And happy belated anniversary to you too. ;)

A very merry unbirthday to you…..:P

Just a freaking year? Ugh. Darn you :P

  11. All I get are the abilities to see into the past to tell where dinosaurs died, and the ability to resurrect fossils. ...wait a minute.
  12. Wait a minute. Which character of mail-mi's has the ability to read minds?
  13. * sigh *
  14. I presume you mean spoiler tags? They're easy to do. Will produce Hope that helps!
  15. After seeing episodes of MLP where Apple Bloom learns potioneering from Zecora, I have a new headcanon. Apple Bloom becomes Zecora's full-time apprentice, ultimately earning an enchantment cutie mark. When Zecora grows old and passes away, Apple Bloom takes her place as the hermit of the Everfree, working magic and aiding the ponies and other beings of Equestria wherever she can. Having access to an online pony creator and way too much spare time, I created this monument to my headcanon.
  16. I lost the version of the FUNTIMES list that was on my computer. Is this the newest version of the list? There'll be a signing on Easter weekend apparently, so I need to get the list posted well ahead of then. (And preferably not on April Fool's Day, lest anyone get the wrong idea. )

  18. I've gone from staying awake shivering at midnight to sweating the night away in less than a week. Texas weather has no sense of moderation.

  19. Fixed that for you.
  20. The Geneva Convention is accessible from all universes. The United Realm of Moral Guardianship makes sure of it.
  21. Hey. I learned it with "Kings Play Chess On Fine Glass Sets." I learned another mnemonic for memorizing the different types of main-sequence stars, but ironically I can remember the order but not the mnemonic nowadays.
  22. Interventionopolis is probably the least sober world in the multiverse.
  23. The only characters I have any interest in preserving are the nice ones. I believe in happy endings, and no ending could be considered "happy" if it leaves a man like Lightwards in the world. Edgedancer, I'm fine with either possibility. If you want to write a Baxter PoV next, go right ahead. Of not, I'll just include his reaction in the next Backtrack post.
