What a pity. Introducing Backtrack to Blitz would have been an electrifying experience for all concerned.
-
Well that's what he'd want, but I couldn't remember if we going to let him have his way for once.
-
Sounds about right. Am I up next for Backtrack? Was there anything specific I was supposed to have him do in the next post?

I like it all. Consider it greenlighted. The method of imprisonment is well thought-out; I think Vondra and co. would keep handy sprinklers all over the building, just in case. And possibly spray bottles like we use when our cats hop up on the table.

Hayter's gonna hayt? (I like that name.) As for the population: I say we utterly ignore this piece of info. Attempting to force ourselves to follow this ratio would risk negating a lot of RP!Oregon's unique charm, and I'm wholeheartedly against retconning. It's best to just accept that we'll never be perfectly aligned with canon and try to have fun in our own crazy way. I approve of this.

Nightmare Moon had all the qualities of an Epic. Corrupted version of a normally sweet character? Check. Association with fears? Check. Loud and overly dramatic temperament? Check. (I wonder whether the Elements of Harmony, in some sort of internal battle, forced her to face her fear, thus completing the similarities.) I meant seeing Epic ponies in this impromptu fanfiction, though of course I wouldn't mind seeing them on the show either.

This is really cool. Easily better than most of the crossovers over on Fimfiction.net. (Am I the only one waiting to see an honest-to-goodness Epic pony? )

Birds that use time progression to hatch their eggs ahead of all the competition. Temporal-distorting parasites that can live generations in your skin before you can scratch them out. One of the most feared predators on the planet, a ferocious beast that can tear a man apart with conflicting gravity fields. There is a lot, and I mean a lot, of potential for magical animal species. I'm tempted to pick a few random superpowers and start my own enchanted ecosystem.

No. Violently Texan sounds like "Ever since Obama was elected coyotes have been in my yard every night. I'm gonna poison a dead chicken and kill all their pups." There are a lot of good Texans, but there's a darker side to this state's subculture that has nothing to do with Budweiser sausages.

Does the name "Steven Lawrence" mean anything to you? Your explanation for Astoria makes sense, especially if the wastelands surrounding the city were depicted as mostly barren of Epics. I'm more concerned about The Dalles, considering the city's small size and the low profile it keeps. Oh, and that mini-fanfiction? I cannot give enough upvotes for that.

Double post with the full results of my Google survey, rounding up: Portland should have an Epic population of 61 The Dalles should have an Epic population of 2 Corvallis should have an Epic population of 6 And Astoria should have a whopping Epic population of 0.9. Or just 1, rounding up. I guess we'll need to invoke Calamity's special favor after all.
-
Well when I took the current population of The Dalles and multiplied it by 0.0001, I learned that there should only be 1.5 Epics from The Dalles.
-
I did the math--or rather, Google calculator did the math--and applying this number to Oregon's pre-Calamity population there should be around three hundred and ninety Epics native to Oregon. I'm not sure whether that fits with the population density we've shown so far, though.

That's a really unique and awesome idea! I can't remember it being used anywhere else, but I'm not the most fantasy-literate person on the forums. Even if it's been done though, there's no reason you couldn't give it a blast of your own unique creativity. (Also, the second I read the name of that episode this song came flaring to life in my head. )

Thanks. I'm leaning towards this current green one, but considering that for all practical purposes this is my face when I'm on here, I'd like to make sure I'm not picking something that makes people cringe whenever they see me posting.

"Here Nighty-nighty-hounds!" Yeah, I'm beginning to see how this could be the stuff of a little filly's nightmares. On another note. I'm trying to find a more neutral, easily recognizable profile picture for myself. Which works best... Or should I just go back to being steampunked Doctor Whooves?

His pony has to look like this. No ifs ands or buts.

And now I'll spend the rest of the day wondering what Oregon characters would be like as quantum particles.
