    I see. Unfortunately, apps are very expensive (as I mentioned in previous responses) and a massive time commitment. I don't think it will ever happen. Apps also require a huge amount of upkeep. As a note, only good apps are smoother than websites. It's easy to have a bad app. Responsively designed sites are much more sustainable.

    The topic that was removed did not talk about the usual Liar of Partinel chapters that had historically been available on Brandon's site, which was why it was removed. The ch 1-2 one is allowed, but there was some later stuff that was not really publicly available, so it was removed. Said person was also spreading distribution of these works, which Brandon doesn't want, which was another reason it was removed.

    Yeah, unfortunately working overtime and a half (again this semester), I got sick last weekend/early this week and that killed a lot of time. I maybe could get it done by Sunday but I have a lot of other work to do as well. But! It will be on SA4 predictions and should be a larger episode than usual.

    Just wanted to give you a quick update that the podcast is coming out this week, but it'll be a late Friday or early morning Saturday podcast.

    Not necessarily. In a big argument people might just upvote only their "crew" and then that leads to a lot more hurt feelings and cliquishness. I go back and forth as to whether reactions or these being public would actually help. Seeing who upvoted what definitely could worsen things in contentious situations.

    I would still like to know what actual advantages the app would have? What are the benefits for doing this? This has never been adequately explained to me.

    Friends, there is no need to reply and get on people's cases about topic necromancy. Firstly, many very old topics have already been closed and I deemed OB stuff and on to be okay. I see no reason why one should make a new topic when there's a perfectly fine one here. Relax on complaining about topic necromancy. Don't post off topic, instead just report and we will evaluate. Sure, the topic is a bit old, but it's not like there's been new Stormlight to read. It's not like it's pre OB or 2014 (and in fact those topics that old should already be locked, and this not an issue). Please carry on, if people like.

    I am not enthusiastic about an app. I discuss why I am not enthusiastic about an app in this post (which links to an earlier post): An app is a long term commitment of time and resources that do not seem worthwhile to me. I would really need to be persuaded of the purpose of an app to spend any time on it.

    Well, people who definitively have multiple accounts are just banned. Reputation abuse would be like you getting your friend to upvote every single one of your posts constantly. Don't try to manipulate the fake internet points or else you won't get any more fake internet points! There's all sorts of ways people try to do dumb crap in the name of fake internet points and sometimes their privileges need to be revoked.
