You know, I almost want to see what Link fishes up and not vote for an exe, but that’s a really bad idea. And I would prefer there not be a one-Elim hammer to end the game. Not on my watch.

So.

attic

People seem to trust me, but as usual that doesn’t translate to listening to me. Let’s see what we can drag up.

@StrikerEZ, in the event of an inactive Elim, could there be failsafes to put in kills even while inactive (like dead Elims sibmitting actions on their behalf), or is that not a thing?

Since we still haven't heard from an Urbosa to my knowledge, I'm putting more stock in an inactive elim team as opposed to a roleblocked elim N5. Purple still did post, so if she didn't put in the kill she must have had an expectation that somebody else would, and since Kayla hadn't been on all night it's unlikely that would be the trust. So someone who either posted in thread N5 or typed in the doc. For the first and only verifiable list, we have quill, Whiffle, Alv, and Steel. Unverifiable are Ash, attic, Jondesu. Yeet definitely wasn't available. According to Ash, attic, Jondesu, and himself were on the Shard N5. Any elim who posted is still more likely to have been in the doc than one who didn't. I think I would go for quillinthestars out of the four people from the first list. I'd like to at least hear about the people he definitely might be leaning elim on, @quillinthestars. Thinking kayla was specifically a vanilla is another interesting statement.

Kayla and I know each other as Bip’s friends from the Zelda server, and I couldn’t imagine her playing such a passive game if she wasn’t vanilla. Thought I suppose she must have been active in the elim doc, rather than up front, which makes sense in hindsight. She’s a very dramatic person, and a big story teller, which I’m sure anyone else from the Zelda server can confirm for you too.

As far as elim reads go, I’m leaning into either Yeet or Attic. I’m not incredibly confident, but this late in the game I’d rather take action than die uselessly.

If you need me to roleclaim to believe I’m actually village, I can, and I can prove it too. Let me know, and I’ll do so as soon as I wake up. (Accidental early morning for me, I had a nightmare so I’ve unfortunately been up for a bit but I’ll be trying to go back to sleep now.)

I'll put my vote down for Attic Out of the four Ash mentioned earlier, Yeet and Attic have more suspicious vibes to me.

Attic is the only person I'd feel leans more Elim compared to Quill, who I've been reading as village. I have no read on Jondesu.

1. Color code doesn't seem to appear to be working on my side? Sjsks it's 7 am and about to fall back to sleep xD 2. Ok well refreshing didn't work, bolding the text instead. :/

So, with about 45 minutes left, I figured since I'm up early anyway, I may as well give y'all a VC. :P

attic_gremlin (3): Ashbringer, WhiffleWaffles, quillinthestars
quillinthestars (1): Devotary of Spontaenity

EDIT: Also, @Ashbringer my gut on the inactive elim question is that I would ask my IM their thoughts if that scenario arose and go from there. And I would make an announcement if anything like puppeteering was going to be allowed.

The only roles you could conceivably prove as a villager are postman and Urbosa, and then only if there are living players with PMs not mentioned in thread/living players who were notified of being roleblocked. You would probably be caught if you false-claimed one of those.

I am the postman. I opened your PM with Waffles, and I’d be happy to share what other PMs I’ve opened if I must. I have a strong feeling that there is another postman in play still, probably village, but I don’t know who.

@Steeldancer I did not. You’re one of the few remaining players I’ve had zero contact with this game.

Huh, then that means there's definitely another Postman. Who's given me 3 PMs so far

@Steeldancer Well if there’s another turn after this, I’d love to get to chat with you, be it me opening the PM or our other mystery postman

Sounds good.

I was originally going to do a full reread of thread and vote but then I slept in and now my family wants me to do stuff and there 5 minutes before rollover so I'm just... Gonna do it later.

And that's the turn! No more posting, voting, PMing, or submitting actions until the next one is up!

They took the butler next.

Savia shouldn't have been surprised. She'd known for ages that the guards would eventually come for Hyrule Castle's staff. Horatio was the obvious first choice. No one ever saw him for more than a few minutes at a time. Perfect for him to hide his Yiga allegiance.

So they said.

Savia felt it her responsibility to witness this one. This was one of their own, a worker. Leaving the castle or not, she needed to be here for Horatio's death. It felt important.

It didn't take long for her to see why.

Horatio did not waver in front of the guards, or the sword brought up to him. He barely flinched as his sentence was handed down on his head. His eyes twinkled with something, fierce and unyielding, but knowing. Insanity? No, his eyes were too clear for that, though Savia couldn't imagine anyone but an insane person being so calm in the face of their own death. But he wasn't insane.

No, Horatio knew something.

When the first guard moved to grab him, his hand froze in the air. The guard's eyebrows drew together. He tried again, but his hand did not move forward.

Another guard on the other side, probably assuming Horatio had somehow dodged the first guard, tried to kick the aging butler's legs out from under him. His kick didn't connect. Just like the first guard's hand, his foot stopped a few inches from Horatio's legs.

Horatio's eyes twinkled. "I think we have some things to discuss."

Well that clears, literally nothing up.

I'll do my reread of the thread after I get some family stuff done and get the signups for the next game up.

The dots are being connected oh dang!

Well then, we either found Daruk or Attic had a durian. Thoughts, everyone?

I think if it was a Durian that saved Attic from being removed, the writeup would've been a little different. My bet is that Attic is Daruk.

If Daruk isn't an elim and Urbosa is that'll be a plot twist on its own.

Hmm... it either means that Attic is Daruk or had a Durian, however I think it's likely they are Daruk? Hmm... Kas accepted the requests for a Durian, correct? Did Attic request one or have a PM set up with Kas?

@attic_gremlin, care to share anything about this development? I’m tempted to say we should lynch you again next cycle if you survive the night, since if you’re Daruk we’ve been thinking that’s a Yiga role, but I’d like to hear from you on it.

Given the likelihood of an elim knight, them also having Daruk giving them a total of eight lives and eight votes with only one vanilla in a 26 player game with a sudden death lose condition for the village is definitely too much.

I’m thinking they don’t actually have a Knight.

Right now I'm thinking that YeetAroundTheBush is an Eim Knight. But I'd rather wait to see if there's an Elim kill this night turn before I act on that.

So.......

I wish i'd had the chance to chat w/ y'all last night before i got lynched, but it's been a wild couple of days irl. So, sorry! I know it makes me look bad, but hopefully, for the good of the team, I can still recover.

It's hard to prove a negative, but I'm not elim. I was online during the turn the kill was missed -- if we assume that the final elim is an inactive player, since the kill wasn't submitted when they had a chance to, then the final elim must be someone who wasn't online when they had a chance to submit a kill.

Finally, I'm not Daruk -- I survived because I had a Durian. I'd claim my actual role, but I don't think it's a good idea rn, and I don't think you'd believe me if I did...

Interesting given Durians don't let you survive the day hanging.  Only Daruk can do that.

Agreed on the no-claiming thing. Quill claiming Postman is probably enough claims so far… I’d rather as many people as possible keep their roles shut. Aside from Link needing to survive, Daruk’s power lies in their anonymity and Urbosa’s does as well.

I thought Durians were clarified to work on both?
