"How many people know about it? Is there anything special in Kredik Shaw?"

“The people who live there know. So do the local crew members. A few of my friends do.

”But knowing something exists isn’t the same as knowing where to find it. There are a lot of volcanic islands in the oceans, but only one has the city.

“As for Kredik Shaw...” Kelsier smirked. “You’ll see.”

Lilliana was not paying attention. She was staring at the city. Wow. Just wow. A thought struck her. OH! Kelsier probably has a copy of What's-his-but's logbook... *searches brain for a few minutes* Alendi! That's it. The guy's name was Alendi! She nodded to herself. If he does have a copy, I wonder if he'd let me borrow it... She proceeded to make an internal list of reading material, as she really wanted to know a few things. I wonder if those would be really hard to read. Probably not. I can read and understand scriptures without too much effort, with a few exceptions... I should be able to understand that stuff, right?

"Does that mean we're headed to the hill of a thousand spires? Or only this new girl?" Said Hoblim. He fidgeted with his pen, a little nervous.

You know, I'm not sure if I said that but being around Kelsier will ruin my character's chances of ever again interacting with Hoid. At least, any friendly interaction is improbable. And I believe that as long as we're under his "protection" nothing will actually happen.

In the end, our characters aren't interested in action, so they'll prefer our current situation, but the RP will be more than a little boring as long as we're with Kelsier.

Random has said she has a plan that involves him, but it doesn’t seem to have happened yet? I agree that we need the plot moved forward.

Kell will let you out once you’re in the city; his primary interest was in keeping you where you couldn’t interfere with the plot. He also knows you’ll be safe there, so he’ll be fine letting you wander.

Besides, he has work.

“All of us,” Kelsier confirmed, as Roues began to bring the ship down.

The pilot expertly maneuvered the ship through the skyway, passing other flying dirigibles. He moved easily about the smaller spires, coming to a rest along the shaft of the central one. Roues engaged the landing gear, small claw-like implements that used ironpulling technology to cling to the metal.

”We’re here,” he announced. “I’ll be opening the door now.”

I stand. "You know, I kinda expected to see the Coliseum or perhaps Big Ben before seeing Kredik Shaw. Actually, I expected to leave the US before I left the planet, so it seems minor now that I think about it."

Kelsier chuckled as he headed for the door. “You’ll have plenty of time to explore. This city is safe or, at least, no more dangerous for you than anyone else; you can go where you want.”

"Wasn't Kredik Shaw destroyed by Vin?"

Kelsier shot Faith a bewildered look. “I recreated the city. You can find the ruins of the original in Elendel. It was mentioned in Shadows of Self.”

"Was it?" Asked Hoblim, turning sharply to Kelsier. "I mean, the Pits of Hathsin were mentioned, but the remains of a city?"

He then turned back to Trésor. "Is there a library inside Kredik Shaw?"

He was a bit annoyed at the new girl - and himself - for not thinking of asking about libraries before her.

Kelsier nodded. “Wax passes through the ruins.

“”As they wound through the tunnels, they passed an opening into a different large cavern. He raised his lantern to give it a glance, then froze in place. Instead of more rough, natural rock, his light illuminated dusty tiles and pillars, with parts of the floor torn up. Past them, there was what appeared to be a small hut of all things.

““TenSoon?” he asked as the kandra continued forward.

““Come along, human.”

““Is that…”

““Yes. Many people hid in the basements of Kredik Shaw, the Lord Ruler’s palace. Sazed moved that here, as he did with all other caverns of refuge.”

”Chapter 20,” Kelsier added, in case the quote hadn’t been enough.

Trésor shook her head. “The castle acts as a hangar, similar to airports on your world. There’s a very nice one in Keep Venture though.”

Rylia was listening in confusion. She had almost no idea what was going on and no idea what they were referencing, but didn't want to interrupt.

"Really? I guess I never really noticed that."

Kelsier smirked as he headed down the spiraling stairs welded to the spire. “A book about things that haven’t happened yet.”

Hoblim nods at what Kelsier said, smiling a little. "I see that you spoiled yourself the future." He said, while climbing down from the ship.

“A possible future,” Kelsier corrected, “but one I want to come to pass.” He glanced over at Rylia. “A Shardic Avatar wrote it. And no, you can’t. The more people on Scadrial know about the possibility, the more likely it is that it will be diverted.”

"Maybe you could move to Earth with us at some point." She paused. "If we ever do get back." She added. "And maybe all of the books will be out by then!" She said cheerfully.

"It's like... well... Scadrial, but we don't have the Metallic Arts, and it's also more scientifically advanced." She grimaced. "Although, that's not always a good thing. Some of the advancements, such as Nuclear and Biological weapons, are... not great. Oh, and we've also got COVID-19. COVID is a sickness that has turned into a global pandemic. I could explain some stuff about it if you want." She offered.

If she says yes, be prepared for a lengthy rant about viruses, SARS (COVID-19 is a SARS virus), the common cold, vaccines, the new M-RNA vaccine, and then be prepared for a side rant about genetics and microbiology.

You have been warned.
